I never fail to visit pet lover's centre when i go shopping at IKEA or Queensway Shopping Centre.. Its not a very big shop, but you can buy everything you need for your pets there.... There's food, bedding, snacks and treats...

Basically, I love to squat and watch the little animals lazing away in their tanks.. Though the tanks don't look really clean but they have everything they need inside the tank... like water, hay, food bowl, bedding, pee container and their comfy hiding place...... Its really hard to keep them clean anyway... judging by the fact that they stay in the tank all day and shit alot....

I love the service in this shop as I find the staff extremely helpful.. and they love the animals.... Occassionally, you can see them bringing out the little animals for a short cuddle and that will make these little lovelies.. really happy....

They have new stock of live animals all the time and not only their turn-over is high, the animals are in such good conditions... Fluffy Fur, Shiny Coats, Excellent ears and eyes.. and most importantly they have good various breeds. Theres bound to be something u like...

By the way.. the little animals they sell are hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits.. If you like Dogs and Cats, why not drop by Pets Safari at VIVO....

All in all, the prices are reasonable and I love the fact that they do delivery for purchases above $50 and you could also get a membership for $5 with discounts all year round.

If your darling pet gave birth to too many children, you can also bring down to the shop to ask to sell to them... They handle these animals so expertly... and have a good eye in keeping them healthy and selecting the healthy ones from the not so good ones.. So its pretty safe if you buy live pets from PLC....

I bought my DARLING MR CASH here at Happy Paws.. After much tedious research and hunting... I finally found the PET HAVEN OF SINGAPORE.. Its not some pet farm.. its not a ulu place like deep in the some reserves.. its right at serangoon north.... West landers like me will not know such a place until you have read enough blogs and forums to find out...

I went to farmway, went to SPCA, however i could not find the THE ONE... and after much hunting, found my darling guinea pig which i named him MR CASH at Happy Paws.....

There are many shops there... selling Chinchillas, Dogs, Cats, Birds, Hamsters, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Fishes.. however upon viewing so many shops, i decided to buy my first REAL PET at Happy Paws.. and the reason is obvious...

First, they have a comprehensive range of products and the prices are very reasonable.. on top of that they have given me good discounts...

Second... I saw 2 well kept and cleaned caged guinea pigs.. unlike some where the cages are so dirty and you wonder if you are bringing back a sick pet which will just pass on in a few days... I was glad when i asked to hold the gp i chose before commiting to buy i was declined as handling them will make them frightened.. i'm sure my pig is going to survive.....

The things i bought included cages, pellets, cat's litter bedding, water bottle, shit bowl, hay and Mr Cash.... When I asked, they actually took the time to help me fix up everything, dress up the cage before putting Mr Cash in.. and they also included his toy ball he was playing with and the apple sticks he chews on.... Before putting him in his new house... The owner actually talks to him, cooed him and whisper some soothing words to him and it really helps calm him down.....

She then advices me on him.. telling me what are his favourite food and how to handle him.... Matter of fact she had his brother which is one of the earlier batch from the same parantage and his brother was such a big boy in such good conditions... I was impressed when she told me she feeds them organic carrots and corns as treats and I'm so sure... MR Cash is going to be so healthy....

If you are looking for a pet, or pet supplies or any grooming services, you can put your trust in Happy Paws Pet Kiosk.... as I know my pets are in good hands when they are with them.... Such passionate animal lovers are the most important criteria in grooming, caring and even introducing you the best they can offer for the well being of your companion.... Most importantly.. they are associated with a REASONABLE PRICE...

If you feel particularly chinese today, then you should lunch as hand in hand.... Though i like the name of the restaurant, i however do not like to hold hands with rude waitresses...

I was trying to get a quick bite one busy afternoon at jurong point where it seems like EVERYWHERE is packed.... Oh.. School Holidays Again and when i saw there are special in-house seats for these restaurants in the food court, i have no choice but to get in as there are the only seats available.

There again.. friendly calls that promises nothing but good food and friendly services still gets a hold of me.. however they are nothing but empty promises.. and the worse thing is I get conned again and again, hoping that things wll improve. This lady at the counter attracted me with the good variety of spread in the menu and most of all.. available seats..... I mean, one can't help but want to get away from crowds and so... i took the bait and went in hoping to get a good meal..

As i admired the deco, which is typically china chinese style, I was rudely offered some cutleries with a bang on the table.... There she goes.. stating all the famous dishes and me and my pal basically chose some noodles and giving the dumplings a miss... She hounded on about how good the dumpling are and blah blah blah but when i ask for some warm water, she told me there was none.... Not Even Tap Water.....

The food came in about 10 mins and while the food court is bustling away... I was stranded with my poor pal in a quiet corner in this part of beijing... However, the fried noodles was quite nice... chewy and well flavoured noodles with some prawns, veg and other stuffs. The braised beef noodles were good as well.... The soup savoury and beef soft... We also tried the century egg toufoo which however is not to my liking... I find it too plain but my pal thinks its nice...

All In All.. the food was great and if these chinese friends can have more social responsibility in providing better services and more kindness.. It would just be great... Heal the world... Make it a better place... For you and for me and the Great China.....

If you're looking for some cheap CDs or cheap clothes or very chinese stuffs, you can come to CK Departmental stores! There are 2 outlets in outram area, one is on the chinatown side and another is in pearl centre side in this building opposite the OG which i could not recall what building is that.

Both outlets sells nearly the same things however the outlet at the Chinatown side apparently has got more stuffs.. If you like cheap DVDs or anything else for your viewing and listening leisure, yesss... this is the place to hang out.... The clothes are not very fashionable or of a good make however they are pretty value for money for a leisure casual wear especially for children as they outgrow their clothes in the matter of minutes..

If you want to find some very chinese food stuffs, they also do carry some very chinese food stuffs direct from China.... however, its always good to read the ingredient labels and hope you do not find Melamine there.... Heh Heh!

The toiletries I find them not as cheap as the distributors on top of the foodcentre next to the OG.... and don't expect any good service from the staffs.. they usually give you the FACE... so please pick your stuffs carefully and prepare for RUGBY if you're going there on a weekend.. Expect alot of aunties with sweaty armpits and big boobs out to squash you.......

This is indeed another of my favourite hangout... I mean don't you just love walking the departmental stores.. They display an array of goods especially chosen to suit your needs from your head to your toes all the way into your tummy and your bed where you spend 1/3 of your life snuggling in...

I always love the comprehensive list of items Tangs have and each items comes in different shades of colours with so many designs, brands, materials and sizes to choose from. I particularly love to walk the bag section... Which is the first section you enter.. there you can see the helpful staffs waiting to serve you.. I mean.. its difficult to find helpful staffs in departmental stores... They are always hiding somewhere talking or resting.. I mean its tough standing all day but isn't it the goal of the job to serve your customers till they happily leave the store?

Anyway, back to the Bags... They carry a good number of brands and while walking the colourful bag section you could see the brightly lit skin care and perfume section. Here you can find all sorts of international brands in which you could lavishly try the scents till you find one of your delight. Walking on you can find the man's sections with assortments of leather belts, ties and shoes with various Macho Designs as well as young and colourful young Punks dressing as well as travel bags of all sizes to suit all your travel needs. The watch section i particularly enjoy browsing through the different brands and shiny glass cases.

Upstairs you can find kitchen appliances, accessories as well as bedding needs... I particular like the fact that theres a mini honey corner where you can buy all sorts of products to please your HONEY as well as a mini chinese medicated tea shop to soothe the heatiness...

Also check out the Lifestyle section where they display these crystal clear audio CDs of old fashioned songs... Wo de bu dao ni de ai qing......

Also.. It pays to be a member as they do have closed door sales and on top of the sales items, you do get rebates up to 12% on all your purchase. Best of it all... Even if you redeem your tangs dollars you could still get rebate on the balance you paid.. Its a great place to go with savings out of my imagination...

See you there at Tangs today SHOPPER BABEs!!!

This place is more like being called the Pets Safari however the anchor outlet of Pet Lovers Centre. Here, you can find everything you need for every kind of your pet. Be it the cute little puppy, meowie cat, small hamsters or even pet goldfish... They have everything to suit everybody's needs.

The cages come in many trendy designs and colours as well as sizes for adult german sheperds down to the smallest hamster carrier, not forgetting the handy sling tank.. Now you can bring your fishes for pet walks :).....

All sorts of food, treats and vitamin supplements are available for your pet... Fully Edible Toy Houses made from organic and dye free materials for the comfort of your small hamsters.... I mean they really do have a wide range of everything. Take rabbit food for example, they have various kinds of pallets and hays for their staple food and treats including the carrot lookalike vitamin supplied toy carrot that could last you for at least a week. On top of that your pet rabbit's teeth will be nice and trimmed after playing with that toy...

If your dog's is having a bad hair and is feeling depressed because of that, you could bring him to the grooming centre in this outlet and your babe will appear looking cool with a nice hairstyle and confident to attract new friends.

If you don't have a pet.. You could buy one here... They have small animals such as hamsters of various species, rabbits so fat you can cuddle them, guinea pigs so fluffy you can't wait to bring one home. If you prefer something bigger.. Check out the puppies on sale.. They are so adorable, I just can't stand the doggie eyes they give me.. You can ask the friendly staff to let you carry them for a while.. Bond for awhile before you decide if you want to buy them.. However.. Its important never to buy on IMPULSE... Taking care of a pet is a pretty time consuming activity... Unlike buying a car or the Wii when you can ignore them when you have no time or don't feel like it.. Getting a pet is commiting yourself to taking care of them :)

You could join Pet Lovers Centre's membership to get a 10 to 15% discount on everything except live animals... Sometimes they do have some other member perks which can be useful... I love this shop as the staff are so friendly and helpful to attend to my every need. Most importantly, the 'bad hair day' guinea pigs are only going for $80 for one and i'm definitely looking for a girlfriend for my darling 'CASH!'

However I am sad about one thing.. There's no place at vivo for the pets to wander about.... I've been to many countries and even in countries like taiwan, they allow their pets in the mall.. as long as you could handcarry them or put them in a pram.. they are fine... Even in malls like our PARAGON / KLCC kind.. people bring their full grown overweight golden retriever for lunch at the food court with them... Its something I hope we could get there soon....

Meanwhile, enjoy your walk in pets safari which by the way is next to the DaiSo... It could be really educational for your children too...

This place is almost fully packed all the time and I pretty liked the idea of keeping the place small and cosy. The first time i was brought to this place it felt very traditional jap road side cafe feel... but as you dine, the cosy-ness slowly sits in.

Waiters were attentive however not smiling.... but its good enough.... Lets go straight to the food..

I however feel that the spread was not comprehensive enough for a buffet with regards to the price per head. The raw stuffs were fresh and juicy. The plating of the dishes were only normal and not extra interesting... However the tempura and grilled squid was nice.... As we know squid could feel very rubbery if overdone and this one was just nice... The sauce not too sweet and very yummy.

Tempura was usually good with plenty of sauce offered. I love handrolls however not to be consumed so much as the rice fills up alot of space.

I personally like the idea of the served up buffet style, instead of the usual buffet bar... Being served feels more spectecular....

    A must try....

I bought one of the GaGa Girl's Belated 21st Birthday Cake here... Every year is a belated 21st birthday, I kinda forgotten how old they are already.... In anyway... we shall remain under 25 till the end of our lives....

Though I did not dine here, the time i spent walking around the shop and playing with all the display there is more then the experience of eating there. I was desperate for a beautiful cake, something special and is not too filling and when i enquired, what truelly attracted me was the lady's description. She told me she would bring for me a freshly baked cheese cake, manually put in the creme and fill them up with FRESH Strawberries....... I love the sound of fresh strawberries.... How many of you can find freshly decorated cake with fresh, juicy, springy, bright red strawberries with beads of fresh dew on them?

Its to die for yar... after hearing that i IMMEDIATELY say.... BRING ME ONE OF THOSE CAKES BABE! While i watch them carefully decorating my cake, i soon discovered to my delight beautifully crafted in cupcakes in various yummy flavours.... They are so pretty.. I wonder who can bear to eat them up... They are affordable.. I mean if somebody were to look at their bright euro shop deco with chandeliers and intrisic designed shop front, many would think its such a expensive place and too doll house for anybody, however I must tell you the prices for the item is AFFORDABLE....

The service was great too.. With bright smiling faces and helpful attitude, the staffs there make me feel so welcome, loved and pampered.... However situated at a corner with lousy human traffic but busy road traffic, this place is a great place for high teas or a quiet tea alone with a book while watching the world go by.

Look out for this nice glass shop at the corner of chinatown and clarke quay with the GREAN PAISLEY sign.. Its Paisley.. not Parsley... Its a glass house... not a GRASS House

i like the name WARAKU.... if you say it slow with a singaporean slang, it kinda sounds like Wah... La... Good!!!. I strongly feel that the food is indeed.. WAH LAU Eh.. Good! and the View is Wah Lau Eh.... Damn Good! I mean in Singapore, you can only find a handful of places with a mountain and water view yar!

I love the lunchtime set meals they offer... Dual Minis... You can taste 2 main dishes however they come in mini sizes so its like half of each main dish ordered. The prices are reasonable, however sits hard to get. So do make sure you be there early or call for a reservation and most importantly, if you are coming in groups, make sure all is present if not do the "She's in the toilet" trick.... Especially during dinner time.

I had many different stuffs to eat however my favourites will be:

    1) Pizza - Nice and crispy, not too filling and loads of toppings

    2) Beef Hot Pot - This is a big order especially when you order the set... Beef sooo Sweet I'm afraid my sweet tooth might fall out...

    3) Sashimi - If everything in the menu fails to attract you, always go for the regular favourites. Raw fish is ALWAYs Yummy!

    4) Sake - Reasonbly priced and good starter for amature drinkers like me

    5) Sashimi Salad - Best for both gluttons and dieters alike.... Healthy, Juicy and Refreshing

    6) Mochi - The mochis are so nice and creamy.... The wierd thing is... they never get stuck on my teeth like others do...... Funny Thing.

Its THE Place to go for if you wanna eat till you drop or have a quick high tea with your friends. Great variety of selections and flexibility.. A must visit place for all your overseas pals.... Especially with a great view like the clarke quay river....

I totally agree with slimshady that the restaurant's customer services personnals need more improvement. I was there a couple of months back with my gang of friends and we weren't happy with the treatment we got at the entrance.

There were 8 of us and the restaurant was not fully occupied. We were browsing at the menu while some of us standing around talking and waited for somebody to come out and say Hi to us however, in 10 minutues, nobody reacted. The waitresses and waiters just go about their usual business while whispering and shooting THE EYE at each other and nobody served us..

Finally after about 10 minutes somebody came, mumbled something not so audible and my friend asked if the dinner buffet was on and we wanted a table for 8... The waiter mumbled something again and we do not feel welcomed. Instead of eating here, we went to the japanese restaurant nearby.

The deco and the food displayed in the menu looked good and price I find affordable however on the high side. Perhaps one would be more willing to try it out, however with a more warm welcoming spirit would be great for business.

What economic crisis is there to talk about when a restaurant like this; located in a high rental zone with high overhead is not doing anything to attract more business?
