Daiso.... A place where cheap things ain't so cheap but sometimes can be cheap too....but not too cheap looking...

Blur? It means.. Some things are Cheap but some are not. Though Cheap, But these cheap things don't look too cheap :)

Made in Japan or Made in China?

I guess... Made in china but Assembled in Japan. Or Made in China and Packaged in Japanese. Whatever it is, the material and quality of the items are good and i'm sure quality control is also good and so its close to japan made items.

For $2 what can we expect.....

A stainless steel shiny cooking spatula...
Intrisically Designed Ceramic Japanese tea cups
Useful and colourful cartooned Plastic Lunch Boxes
    Retro Printed Ties
    Colourful and Durable Organizing Containers
    Useful Bicycle Parts
    Interesting and Environmentally friendly toys
    Superb quality facial care products
Japanese Junk Food.. Since they are good quality.. Its not considered Junk food but SNACKS
    Umbrellas and Rain Coats
And other interesting and innovative solutions for the everyday life.

I should say its not the price of the products that matters but the solutions to our everyday life... Making living smarter, easier and more enjoyable. However I'm still glad for such a low price, there are so many innovations.

When we look at these solutions, they indeed raises our living quality, though improvement don't come in giant leaps, it makes everyday waking up a joy. More importantly, these little innovations are able to spice up the creative spirit in us and who knows.. we might be inspired to create even better solutions and while selling these solutions become Rich......

Salute to the Japanese and Thankyou Daiso.. I'm going to be a millionaire soon.. Catch me inspiring myself in Daiso....

This is my teen hideout place. I stay in the west and i love sports.. And there is no where really to buy good quality sports wear then Jurong point...

I could remember during last singapore sale I was browsing regular while hanging out at Jurong Point and I managed to catch a couple of good sales in Royal Sporting House.. First I bought a pair of Reebok Tights which turned out to be the best buy of tights ever... It fits so well, material so breathable and price reasonable. On top of that, I got a 20% discount and could manage to find the colour and size...

My second great buy is a pair of speedo goggles. These goggles don't come cheap, however they are really good. With all the techy terms associated like UV, Anti Fog.. Blah blah blah.. I've got a cool metallic Ocean Blue one for myself and a baby pink oh so kawaii one for my niece. Both associated with as much techy terms as i can mention and both for under $50.. Good buy yar.....

Its a spacious shop and do not have alot of sales as compared to the other similar shops or another brand, however when there is a sale, they prices are greatly slashed and they usually have a couple more pieces left as compared to those last piece broken sizes sales.. This is much better :)

I love Body Shop Product... Not only that they are anti animal cruelity, the are also EcoFriendly. We can totally see that by the ugly brown crumpled paper bag they always give away with expensive merchendises. Why i say expensive.. one shimmering eye shadow merely 25gm in kawaii shades of pastel blue goes for nearly $30...

Yes we girls are not cheap to maintain......

If you want to get the value for money options... go for the nice fruity smelling bath gels... They are with all natural ingredients and perfumed with so much fruit essence.. you'll get that overwhelming effect after you had taken your bath.. You basically could be the walking giant Promagranate...

The scrubs and polish are definitely a must buy... if you want smooth flawless skin..... I love the seaweed facial wash... Its easy on the skin and a little cooling after you rinse it out...

There are so many things i love.. I just don't know where to stop....

Now about this outlet.. Its spacious and the ladies won't hassle you with their 5 cents worth of comments... Its good if you need something and late for an appointment.. But i rather prefer to walk n browse, test and smell by myself... Yet if they hassle me.. I will feel indebted as though after i tried, i have to buy something...

This is a nice outlet to hang out and they sure do have the most latest products :)

For all your Golfing needs.. Nike by B.I.R.D is one of the best choice you can get in terms of style, user friendliness, range of items and most importantly, its endorsed by the famous world No.1 Golfer.... Matter of fact.. they had an entire range of merchandisers named after him...

I like NIKE GOLF stuffs.. They are really chich and stylo-milo..... I mean.. apart from looking good, these apparals and comfortable to wear and very breathable.... Its important to have good airy clothes yet can shield some UV rays as well as block some wind when it gets a little chilly out there in the course....

I went to this shop the other evening to do some shopping and i came across the beautiful cap that i've decided to buy almost immediately.. Seldom do i do that.... but this cap is just so special... Made of a silky light material.. this cap comes in 3 colours.. Light Blue, Black and Brown... The design of the cap is most thrilling.... The outside is just a simple smooth solid black colour with a durable short velcro for that pony tail of mine... Most importantly.. underneath the tongue of the cap.. is covered with a checked printed fabric in which made the cap totally sleek with a tinge of retro....

Its a beautiful cap.. though not cheap, however.. I love it alot.. The service is pretty ok.. though the shop is not huge, but it does hold alot of stuffs... The lady serving me is nice and gave me a new piece when i asked.... I love the fact that she gave me space to shop.. instead of hanging so close to me wherever i go and try to delibrately strike conversation with me.

My shopping ritual is that.... "IF i need something I will ASK... Please don't hog me or disrupt my thoughts with your irritating Questions" :)

We're all farmiliar with the brand Timberland.. We see it all the time and it pratically grew up with me....

I am most amazed by its LOGO.. A TREE on a SLOPE..... It simply represents ECOFriendly..... and I believe that Timberland products are environmentally friendly - judging by this name card i hold... is printed specially on the front that its 100% Recycled Paper...

Expect Recycled Tags, Paperbags, Packaging as well as bottled water....

Talk about bottled water.. I simply love the idea of them giving away TIMBERLAND bottled water to every customer that walks into their shops.. Its a clever idea to make me feel indebted to them somehow and I simple love the attentive gesture.... I mean who is not thirsty.... Moreover you could also recycle the bottles and it also act as free advertisements..... How SWEET :)

Lets talk about the merchandises now.. The clothes are great for trekking, fishing and other outdoor sports. Made of great range of materials with breathing fabrics... I would especially recommend the Jackets.. I love the jackets.. they are user friendly.. does not stink with time and most importantly.. some repels water and keeps you warm and cosy on the inside.... Even its winter on the outside... You are sure its always summer on the inside....

The leather boots are the next best thing you can ever find in this shop. Timberland are almost mainly famous for their boots.... Made of leather of different kinds as well as breathable technology and sturdy soles.. These shoes are pratically to die for.... What more.. You could design your own shoe.. customizing every part of the shoe with the colour coding you want yourself for just a mere $299. There is a assembler's desk where u can mix and match every single part of your boot with the demo sets there.. both fun and intriguing...

Its a nice place to go to.. and nice merchandises to buy :)

If you're looking to catch a good drink and play a few games of free pool.... This is the joint to be at...

Always crowded on weekends with recession or without... They serve OKAY food... However a good selection of beers as well as a good price for their own Harry's Beer.. Not self brewed.. But OEM...

They have a good selection of international brands of beers and have air-coned indoor sitting areas as well as outdoor afresco style.. Plenty of bartops, high chairs as well as comfy lower sofas to suit each person's needs...

But i should say more then enough barsides for the singles out to find a date... Its a wonderful place to go solo and the drinks won't burn a hole.. I cup of house red wine cost $13 and 1 Pint of Kilkenny cost only $16 :)

What more.. They have seasonal soccer nights... For guys who are crazily addicted to 20 men running after a small ball..... This is the place to get drunk and curse the stupid referee on league nights.... Huge LCD Screens hung at every angle as well as a projector screen for Man-U Fans.... Man U! Man U! Man U! Man U!....

If you happen to be supporting the opposing team... just remember to curse in dialect.... You won't get into trouble as the main patrons there are foreigners...

Most Singaporeans are too courteous to create any trouble... Courtesy is for free.. Its for you and me......

I was snake-ing at Jurong Point this afternoon, catching a quick break in between appointments and I came across this interesting shop....

Its colourful and a happy shop.... At the entrance to the shop, you can find brightly coloured huge plush toys... Characters include Mickey Mouse, Mennie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daffy Duck and Goofy the Jolly Doggie that could talk... They are brightly coloured and very appealing to children.. What more the prices are very good.... A plush toy, the size of my one year of nephew is only going for $19.90... Good Steal Yar....

Inside the store.. you get to find other toys... Plush and Plastics included... What caught my eye is the Mickey's Palm.. Its Huge, White and Every Child's dream.... and it only cost $13.90. Child Dreams gets easier to hit as we grow older... There are giant Chipmunks as well... And You Could Buy 3 and make them wear a blue, a red and a green T-Shirt.. There you have.. Your very own Alvin and the Chipmunks...

There are candies for sale, Disney Accessories as well as Stationary from the oldest mouse in town...

I fell in love with Goofy and after my appointment, I got myself a goofy to bring home with.. I'm gonna cuddle my new boyfriend while i watch desperate housewives later...

Buy whatever you want at the comfort of your home is what online shopping boast about... I say.. get rid of all your preloved junks on EBAY...

We hear about Ebay everywhere and matter of fact, i believe more then a million people is surfing on the ebay websites at this particular moment... Yes... At Ebay... we can find things out of what our complicated minds could imagine... Its interesting, fun and most importantly better then the coloured recycling bins we see outside our house.... You could actually get MONEY by selling your junks...

I was surfing on ebay lately.... Found a nice limited edition bag I wanted to buy 2 years ago... I quickly got my account set-up.. and boy.. its a breeze.. its quick and efficient... however, its important to have a landline and a active email account for quick account creation.

I then bidded for the item I wanted.. after making sure.. I've got the cheapest from all the other competitors... There is this function i particularly love.. Its called the BUY IT NOW function. In which i need not auction and compete with others and need not wait for the posting time to lapse.. Once i BUY IT NOW... I bought it already....

I later received an email from the owner that she will post it out via registered mail to me and I was to transfer the amount agreed to her...

I tried to contact her, asking her for her mobile number but she did not reply.. I then got worrried and wondered if I should bank in the money... However, though i was only given 2 days to bank in the money.. I however did so after checking her ratings.. There are ratings for each users.. and you could also see the items they previously sold and also comments on the transaction.. She was pretty good and had quite a number of authentic good trades and therefore i trusted the deal...

After the transfer i immediately emailed her.. however there was no reply.. I felt cheated and decided to give it a week... however 3 days later she replied and mailed out the item the next day together with the tracking number.. I then received my merchandise and you could not imagine how happy i was.. It was nicer then i could recall....

Today.. I can't stop browsing in ebay at least once a day... It was interesting and very fun.... So many pre-loved item yearned to be loved by you.. of course there are also the JUNKs.... And the next round... I would prefer cash and carry.... if the seller insist on mailing the goods, then make sure she has a great review and have got many good remarks :)

    Happy BIDDING.......

    Anybody tried face threading?

Its an ancient skill of hair removal using nothing but a piece of thread.. If you ask your grandma, she might know.... Some people describes it as the feeling of the blade of a knife scraping through their face. Well.. If you like to fly a kite, you could truly understand the destructive power of a single thread when held tight and colliding with another surface. I should say.. for Beauty, we're willing to sacrifice anything...

My experience however is more exciting and it all happened so quick.... I couldn't even come to terms with it before the whole session was over.. I was more of shock and happy to see the wonderful results of my beautiful eye brows... This is how it happens...

I was feeling rather bushy (brows bushy) and felt i needed some tidying.. and so being in the west.. I've decided to find that famous indian threading shop I've heard so much about. I went online i tried to find its location and through some tedious means, I finally got one information.... Thats.. its along the OCBC stretch of Clementi Central.. and so here I go...

I'm not a clementi fan but however... after much walking.. I managed to find OCBC.. Now OCBC is at a corner.. so naturally, theres 2 stretches.. I finally found the shop.. which is nearer to the hawker side... I saw 2 well kept indian ladies each working on a customers on a chair... so i went in and asked how long do i need to wait....

The lady just said 5 minutes.. and there are 2 more customers patiently sitted there waiting... so i joined the queue.. before i knew it the lady on the chair is done and the customer was asked to get up from the chair with her face still covered with residual hair.. Not a piece of tissue was offered however.. the lady gladly gave up her sit and went on to the side to clear her unkempt self...

In about 3 minutes... it was mine turn.... I just told her i need to do my brows and when i closed my eyes. It started.. quite a pleasant experience.. I could feel the thread cutting my bushy brows and clearing the sparse hair all around it... Before i could winch my eyes.. she says.. OK... I was surprised.. and then i told her i need to do other parts of my face... she just lay me down and continued.... after about 3 minutes I was completely done... and asked to leave the chair with my face full of hair.. I checked in the mirror at the side.. it was PERFECT... I didn't need to tell her how i want my brows to be done and it was perfectly nice.... Shapy, neat and balanced.. I always had this one side high and one side low brows.. but its perfect.... So i dusted my face with my hands and proceed to pay...

The Service was quick, a little stinging but feels rather comfy afterwards and its so ECONOMICAL in pricing...

Eye Brows are $5 for both
    Full Face is $10
    Eyebrows and Face is $15
Eyebrows and Upper Lip is $8

Its the better of the threading comparatively to the one i had at Toa Payoh from the China woman.

Its quick and gives very good results... A must try for the beautiful brow lovers...

Everything happens so quick, i'm still in shock.. photos will posted after my next visit :)

    Leenie Pigs Leenie Pigs says:

I thought the name Tampopo was pretty interesting... Its does sound a little korean or perhaps a distant cousin of SHABU SHABU.. However, Tampopo is a nice japanese restaurant with delightful deep fried pork...

I love Fried Pork to TonKatsu... or whatever you call them... Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside.. with plentiful of plum sauce never fails to make me salivate.....

My JC Classmates introduce me to this place.... Since I'm not a great fan of the Liang Court.. This restaurant seemed to draw a good crowd. The service is only ok... unlike most jap restuarants we go to.. Its suppose to be GREAT......

The food in comparison is much better.... Set lunches value for money and portion not overly generous.... Since so much have been talked about regarding the pork chops, noodles and etc.... I shall not add on to how tasty the main course are...

I'll instead talk about desserts... I've heard people say, japanese desserts are not so much as delightful as main courses.. or appetizers.. however.. I found Tampopo's cakes to be nice...

We ordered a light cheese cake which is soft with a rich cheese texture yet light and fluffy..... Its hard to find a cheese cake which is cheesy yet light.. Its either CHEESY.... OR LIGHT... but this is cheesy and light... Beautiful like most cakes were and it sure taste better then how it looks...

The Other cake we ordered is the fruit cake which is easy on the cream yet the fruits are fresh... Not alot of gelatine were added.. unlike some.. in which the fruits will bounce around like a silicon toy when pressed....

The dessert is already so yummy... What more about the food :) Its definitely worth to dine here.....
