Step into Eden Cafe, and its homeliness is the first thing that hits you. Friendliness is next, as Clement and his team greeted us with their warm smile and polite gestures. Service like this is getting hard to come by on our little island! The cosiness of the cafe makes it the perfect place for a quiet evening dinner.

I'm a fish lover, but only if they have no fishy stink and no fish bones. So, Clement recommended me their Ginger Leak Snowfish, which is a made-to-order dish. I was swept off my feet! It has zero fishy stink and fish bones. Unlike regular fishes, the snowfish does not split into bits as you cut it. And most importantly, it tastes really good! It is covered in a special sauce which has peanuts in it for that nice crunchy bite.

My friend tried their famous Black Sesame Mushroom Pasta. The pasta is home-made and is dark in colour. As Clement said, this dish is pretty subjective. Some people might love it, while some might really hate it. I guess I belong to the latter, while my friend belongs to the former, as she loves black sesame. Being one of Eden Cafe's famous dishes, I'm sure there are more people who love it than otherwise. A truly unique dish that you can't find anywhere else!

Finally, we had their Lily Citron Jello. It is a jelly kind of dessert that is stuffed with grapes and topped with fresh yogurt and yummy strawberries. It is as healthy as how good it tastes!

Eden Cafe also serves many kinds of floral teas and floral cuisine. All very healthy food that I want to try one day.

Eden Cafe is definitely a 5-star. I'm already salivating right now over the thought of the Ginger Leak Snowfish!

I went there for lunch the other and it was AWESOME.. Though the ambience is just so so, but i love the food they dish out.

I had seafood for one and my friend had Fish and Chips. We shared the food and i simply love the rice. Well flavoured yellow rice with bits or raisin all over. It was simply delectable and very appetizing. I love the hints of spices invading my tastebuds as i chew on the rice slowly in my mouth. The fries were great also, especially sizzled with spicy powders, it sure did ZEST things up. Prawns and fish is ok, fresh with no seafood stench and the fried calemari was FAB.... I love it with extra tar tar sauce.... whom which the waiter gladly provided us.

You must also try the passion fruit soda. I love the funcky popping taste with the glamourous passion fruit. It was indeed a fabulous lunch, perhaps too heavy for lunch but i'm sure its good for dinner.

The ambience is so so, not glam but casual. They have the alfresco sits as well, but it faces the road and fumes from the industrial park in tuas makes it not so nice.... The waiters gave us pretty good attention, though as it happens to most waiters and waitresses, We really wonder if they are overly concerned over lizards on the ceiling or zealous with their own shoes. They seemed to look up into the ceiling or look down to their shoes but never to the custiomers asking for bill, more water or to order........

Its indeed a pretty nice place to bring your family along though this outlet is not too huge, you could call first to reserve a table. Also avoid sitting near to the side railings unless you wanna pissed the shoppers using the escalators with your OH SO DELECTABLE food and throw them a prawn head or two.. heh heh!

While making payment, they gave us some candy.... and GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME... the candy was so so so so sooo........ YUMMY....... and so watching me go all ecstatic over the small white candy the waitress kindly mentioned that they do sell it if i want. AND i went home happily with ONE KG of that delectable CANDY.... AND ITS made in AFRICA....

Why is it white candy? Hm............

I went to K-BoX to Sing last friday night.... It was fun and I was so impressed by the size of this thing.....

We were late.. and thats all because of the GAGA Girls I was with and then we couldn't find the right room, because the place is freaking huge...... I thought the K-Box at level 4 was huge, wait till you see the level 8 Branch..... Goodness.. this is Singapore, not MUMBAI.......

Since the GAGA girls are equally blur as me, we asked for room 26 at Level 4 even though we were repeatedly told its room 26 at Level 8. My clever brain thought the level 4 K-Box is huge enough and there could only be one. But as we were brought to the room 28 at level 4 I rushed in with a loud HELLO.... and I was greeted with 8 Strangers with SHOCK Faces.. Talk about most embarassing moments.

Then we proceeded to the level 8... and when the lift door opened...... WELCOME TO MUMBAI style K-BOX.... It was so huge and there were lotz of servers all around.. saying GOOD EVENING, HOW ARE YOU to us.... The room was a comfortable size for 8 or 10...

Songs were pretty updated with the newest singable mandaring and english songs. We didn't check out the hindi songs but I'm sure its as updated if not Better.... The common toilet was a screw up, but just don't drink so much, I think its fine. We had quite a great time and later into the night, our Hong Kong girlfriends went Crazy and danced on the couches threatening to Tuo Diao Tuo Diao......

Hm... I think that last point just invited a huge percentage of Singaporean men to visit K-Box at level 8 Cineleisure.. As such I shall stop here.....

Tuo Diao Tuo Diao..... Shang Yi Tuo DIao Tuo Diao........
Tong Tong Tuo DIao Tuo Diao.......

I have a NDS Lite... In short its a 2 screened GAMEBOY. If you think that its a childish thing, then you should buy one and experience the sophistication of the technology especially crafted into this handheld equipment. I always wanted to protect the screens as I am not very gentle towards handheld equipments.

One faithful SUNDAY afternoon, I was shopping in FUNAN and I came across the screen protector i wanted to find in PK COMPUTERS PTE LTD. It is retailing at only $7.90, comes in exactly cut sizes and is of a pretty good quality.

It is easy to find screen protectors and it can get really cheap, but usually the cheap ones are not of good quality and most of the time you've got to place them on yourself. They come off easily and might harm your screen instead of protecting it. Especially when you have a touch screen, sometimes when we are excited we tend to be rather ROUGH on the screens and they are very expensive to replace.

I got the protectors and proceed to payment. After payment, the retail assistant asked if I brought my unit and proceed towards fixing the protector up for me. It was perfectly fitted on and I've never seen my NDS Lite so clean since day 1.

For those looking for screen protectors, I recommend PK Computers. Though they do not specialise in this but they did an excellent job in fixing it on. You can also play some games on their demo sets while waiting for them to get your protector on. So far, this is the only place i could find such good quality protectors at such value price.

For an even cheaper idea, you might want to stick on a piece of clear masking tape... Hee hee.....

I was walking by with my girlfriends one friday night heading to SING our HEADs OUT at the K BOX at cineleisure when my GAGA friend got distracted by a beautiful belt from VOOM Lifestyle. A booth outside WORLD OF SPORTS selling accessories and other stuffs.

I got a greater shock when i saw the price. A beautiful synthetic leather belt with embrodry was only going for less then $10. It was very nice, sweet and goes well with jeans or pants. My other GAGA friend who is an accessory craze got crazy over the ear rings. She was trying almost every design on. These ear dressers are only going for 2 for $5. Really a good bargain. They have all sorts of trendy designs, colours and even glam pieces for special occasion.

I was attracted by this beautiful pandent, shaped like a ring but its actually a metal crown. I was thinking..... "Wear a crown around your neck and feel like ROYALTY...."

There were many interesting and I should say special designs. Designs that creates controversy among your GAGA friends yet they cannot be commonly found anywhere. I always like to feel special somehow or rather.

Visit this shop and be special....... Oh yar.. Bring Along Your GAGA friends. What fun is shopping without the..

    "OH... My... GOSH....."
    "Its So BEAUTIFUL....."
"Do I Look FAT in this......"
    "Oh......Sooo...... CUTEeeee........."

Written in honor to my GAGA Girlfriends......

Another vote on the bad back rest. The angle is awkward. And it gave me an aching neck after just a short 100 minutes show.

But the other Yebbers are definitely right about the spacious seats and the clean (but which cinema isn't clean while it's new?) comfy feel.

I still prefer The Cathay. :)

UNO Beef House is one of my favourite place for western food! I believe they are famous for their steaks, but since I'm no steak lover I can't give any steaky recommendations.

But their fish & chips and chicken chops are excellent! Portion is large and prices are reasonable (around $4.50 and above).

It helps that they are so near my home. :) Highly recommended if you happen to be free to drop by.

I totally agree with Natsu, the queuing system at IKEA Restaurant & Cafe made me felt like I was in National Service again! Queuing up and picking up food along the way just feels so much like NS.

In case you are wondering, no that is not a compliment. :)

The food is pretty decent, but the price is a little on the high side. I tried their Chicken Chop Rice.

Finally, getting seats might prove to be difficult with the amount of people there. So be prepared to spend a little time waiting.

What a pleasant surprise, when I discovered the good food and excellent service at Hog's Breathe Cafe yesterday. It was my birthday, so the good stuffs were definitely welcomed!

I had their Atlantic Salmon with fries and salad. The portion is huge and it's very nice! I tried their Chicken Tender too, which is just as good.

The prices are fairly reasonable for their portion. At the end of the meal we were really really full!

    Definitely must re-visit. :)

White SignBoard with a RED FLOWER.. Thats Missha.... I like Missha! They have cheap and nice funky nail colours in flowered bottles that retails for only $2.90. I can say i'm flower CRAZE. I have almost every colour they retail. I love to mix them and paint mine toes multi coloured...

They also carry a good range of other skin care and beauty products. Mostly korean and there are pretty value for money. They have products that are targetted for certain skin types such as combination, dry or oily. I like korean products because they are usually nicely packed and suitable for asian skin.

Their cosmetics are interesting also. They have the usual blusher which i love because the colour suits my skin tone so well and its smell NICE, Eye shadow with a good variety of colours and mix and match customisation to your individual taste. The other thing i like is the pencil liquid eyeshadow. They call them eyetips. Its so cute and easy to use.

I love the concept and the products they carry. Most importantly, the retail assistants are always cool CHICKs with almost perfect makeovers....
