Have been a Maxonline customer for more than 4 years. After couple of renewal with them for their Premium plan, I'm having second thoughts. Should I renew my contract with them again? Or hope on to other service provider?
Recently the wireless router that came with my sign-up seems to be going wonkie, probably due to old age. Another tell-tale sign to make me reconsider my bb plan for home. Other than the occassion disconnection (for few seconds) due to the wireless connection, all else are alright. Not much complain.
The only complain would probably be the bill. Paying it at full price now, monthly bill of $83 is really hurting my wallet.

Finally a bigger and better cinema nearer to my home. Been waiting for this for so long! Am very happy to have Cathay at AMK Hub. The cinema is bigger and I've always been a fan of Cathay's cinema seats. Its more comfortable and slightly bigger/wider as compared to other places. IMO, the seats and sound system are one of the reasons for making a choice of where to watch movie. The next would probably be whether or not their popcorns is nicer.
Apart from the usual popcorns and nachos, they also have hot snacks for the hungry movie-goers. Very nice of them to provide more options.
Cathay has came a long way from their history, and they should be very proud of where they are today. Their accomplishments and reputations is to be complimented.
Not sure about you, but personally I find that the taxi by Comfort is getting more spacious (the newer cabs). There are more leg room now for passengers sitting behind.
My impression of the Comfort cabs in general is pretty ok. Apart from the few who drives either too recklessly, overtaking without signaling and driving as if he was rushing to the toilet or something. The other extreme, usually the older drivers, is to drive super slowly and stays in the left lane on expressways.
There was once incident when this old skinny uncle driver drove like 60km/h when there were no vehicle infront of him! And he drove at the same speed all the way from Harbourfront to Hougang! Can cry I tell you! And it was quite an old cab so the air-con isn't working well. With the heat started by the speed, I was sweating half way through the journey. That was the worst journey I had on a cab. (And I hope it'll be my last too.)
Do you have similar encounters too? Or was yours better?
Was at SPH for a meeting and decided to pop by this coffee shop to try the fishball noodle. I went around lunch hour and it was very packed. Finally got a table for four, we set down and I ordered a fishball noodle with extra chilli.
I sat and watched as the husband and wife team "performed" at their hawker store. It was pretty amazing how they can remember every order and where their customers sit and all, considering there were many orders during lunch hour. And they could even recap a regular customer's order when the guy raised his hand from his table, he didn't even have to walk to the store to order! Pretty amazing!
My fishball noodle came shortly, the noodle looked red and hot with the extra chilli. The serving was just right to fill an average size tummy. If you're a big eater, I suggest you add a dollar for more noodles. The taste was good, the chilli is tasty. And the soup is good too! Normally soup provided by hawker is either too saltish or tasteless. But this stall has put in effort to make the soup tasty too. As for the fishball, its Q and bouncy.
I will go back again for more when I'm around the area. If you are, do give this fishball noodle a try. Its value for money.
This is one of my favorite Prata place. Last time when I used to go jog at the reservoir (can't remember is it upper or lower pierce, but that's not important lah), The Prata Place is where I will go for dinner. Run and then eat prata! Ha!
But who can resists their wide variety of pratas and the thin and crispy prata! My favorite is the Egg and Mushroom Prata, Chocolate Prata and their Mushroom Masala Thosai. I've tried their other food too, but they aren't that fantastic. So I go there solely for their crispy pratas.
If you prefer the traditional non-crispy prata, I suggest you try their Thosai. Cos you might not enjoy the crispy prata lah.
