If you like pastries especially cheesy, creamy and rich kind, you must come to IKADA.

Humble looking bakery with exceptionally wonderful tasting pastries. I'm especially attracted to the blueberry cheese tart. FULL, RICH, CREAMY cheese fillings are the best I can never find anywhere else. The pastry is so crunchy yet crumbles apart when you bite into it softly. Buttery and oven baked till perfection for your enjoyment.

They have blueberry and chocolate versions of these tarts. Both taste sooo good, you can never be satisfied with one. Simply melts in your mouth.

The other products like breads and pies are very nice too. Fresh and just the right taste, neither too sweet nor too salty. The sweet potato bread is also very unique and tasty. Its just plain bread with fresh sweet potato creamy. You can still see the fibers but you can't taste the stringiness of the fibers. Its smooth and natural sweet. Very appetizing.

They also have eastern delights like piahs and moon cakes and other traditional pastries.

Good Variety and value for money...

Plus very very SHIOK CHEESY TARTs.....

    SUPERB!!!!!

    Pepper Lunch... Interestingly NEW CONCEPT....

I was lured in by the LCD TV outside the shop, showing the procedures of cooking our own lunch.... so i thought it was really interesting and decided to give it a go....

I wonder... when did we actually Quality Control our Customers.. New concept New concept.......

This restaurant is indeed a noisy one.... besides the sizzling noise made by the hot plates, i could say the japanese culture really did get into the singaporeans working there.....

They spoke broken japanese with a bad accent loudly, trying to encourage the other staff but rather it annoyed me a little...

Annoying the customers when they enter the restaurant....
    New Concept New Concept...........

So i look through the menu.... and the food really looks appetizing..... So i ordered 2 beef patties on a hot plate....

I was quickly issued my seat and i sat down with my friends appreciating the whole theme and environment. Shortly our food came. The friendly staff asked us if we know how to cook our food... I stunned and looked at my friend sitting next to me... and he replied... " I am a qualified cook now where is the stove......

And we wondered.. why did we pay near to $10 to cook our own food....... When char kway teow is only $2 a plate..... New Concept New Concept......

The food was good.... there are 2 types of sauces to choose from and it was delicious, but by the end of my meal i suddenly realised that there were spots of sauces all over my pink polo tee......

And i pondered...... Dirty Dancing.... DIRTY EATING???
    New Concept New Concept.....

When we finished our food, the staff quickly cleared the table and went "Thankyou Please come again....."

I starred at my friend in shock wondering...

The faster you get your customers out of the shop the higher the turnover and so... its part of the jobscope of the staff to.....
    NEW CONCEPT NEW CONCEPT......

    Lunch $10........

    New Polo Tee $50...............

Emerge smelling like delicious beef after a satisfying meal and learning a NEW CONCEPT....................... PRICELESS............

I agree with kormmandos, you really pay for quality at sushi tei.... but i can say that for the kind of quality and variety they offer, the price is pretty reasonable.

Like most high end japanese restaurants, Sushi Tei serves food that is fresh and is processed by experienced chef.

We could judge this by simply biting into the sushi. The sushi rice by conventional sushi restaurant chains which uses machine to shape the rice are hard, tight and sticks to your teeth when u chew into them.

But Sushi Tei's sushi rice is like those hand made by experienced sushi chefs are soft but not soggy, firm with shape but yet not tight, Loose but does not come apart easily and most importantly it does not stick to your teeth when you chew at it.

The variety of dishes in the menu is fabulous. I had their raw lobster once. When the lobster is being served, the legs are still flexing a little. That shows the very experience slicing skill of the sashimi chef. The raw lobster was sweet, juicy and simply melts in your mouth. A real delicacy......

Simple dishes like just wheat noodles with an egg in soya sauce taste fabulous too. Though simple and light, this humble dish bring about an explosive taste. Once you tried it, you will never forget the taste and will continuing want to have it. Thats the KUNG FU of a POWERFUL CHEF...

If you want a more chic looking place to impress your business customers, you could always try the outlet at RAFFLES CITY.... Classy with a good selection of food, desserts and beverages. The warm ambience is good for business meetings and gathering with friends. If you are just interested in the food, i suggest you pop by the Holland Village or the Takashimaya Outlet......

    Really MUST TRY!!!!

Calling all book worms out there.. This is an online book store that carries a great selection and variety of books.

Prices are rather reasonable and they deliver right to your doorstep, wrapped in plastic and packaged in a padded envelope... I was personally impressed by the packaging as i encountered many home delivery products such that when i bought it online it was pretty and in fabulous condition but when i delivered to my home, it was KIAM CHAI......

Though i love shopping at book stores, browsing at the books and reading leisurely at its content, I feel pretty pissed when i just couldn't find the books I want. Hours and hours of browsing through the shelves and the book is right smack in front of me... Especially when i am in a rush or i needed the reference urgently, how could i spend precious time scanning through the shelves or run from book shop to book shop.

I chance upon Zakoola while reading a magazine in which, I couldn't remember the name of the magazine and I gave it a go. It was good. Payment was easy and the prices are reasonable, no queues and the book is in fabulous conditions. From then onwards.... no saint can stop my book shopping spree..... I even buy them as presents for my friends. Sometimes, its just difficult to meet up and I would just order a book, get it wrapped nicely and send it to their house.

Books are such excellent gifts for your friends and for yourself.....

Its hard not to recommend such a good site...

If you like japanese food but do not want to be too harsh on your pocket, Sakae Sushi is the place to go.

One of the biggest japanese restaurant chain in singapore, Sakae sushi offers value for money delicate japanese cuisines. Even though the food does not taste like high-end japanese food, but its quite reasonable for the price that is being paid.

I love Japanese food, especially Sashimi and Sushi..... and i frequent Sakae sushi, at least twice a month. For a short snack or a hearty meal after my hunger strike I would go to Sakae Sushi.

The items i love most would be AVOCADO SALMON SUSHI... I like the creamy avocado on raw sweet salmon.... I could eat as much as i want as each coloured plate except the red plates are going at $1.90.

If you haven't tried and you love japanese food, do drop by Sakae Sushi... You could find Sakae almost everywhere and you will never miss the green frog, its logo.

I was quite surprised with the overall interior decoration of this outlet. It absolutely goes well with the overall theme of VIVO city.

The HUGE high glass panels made it feel like afresco dining yet you can still enjoy the nice cool air-conditioning. A very elegant and chic place to have your favourite sundae in.

I could recall my dad used to reward the family with an outing to the swensens restaurant at the Changi Airport for ICE-Cream.. We loved the EARTHQUAKE and the Fries with sauces.

The old menu was great, but the additional items in the new menu at the VIVO outlet is even better. I can have more choices of meal course and desserts. How wonderful.

My personal favourite dessert is Colt Tower... It has chocolate ice cream, fudge and chunky peanuts on top, it is beautiful to look and yummy to have.

The other very nice dessert is the Apple Crumble in a pan..

Sizzling hot Apple crumble with a scoop of rich Vanilla Ice cream on top served in a pipping hot PAN.... Oooh.........
Drizzle some milk and DIG IN.......

Its sweet and buttery.... Soft crumbs soaked in a little caramel and milk simply melts in your mouth.... Hot hot pastry with cold cold ice cream. This is what i call HEAVENLY....

    4 thumbs up...............

A1 curry puffs are absolutely FANTASTIC....

The crust is crispy and flaky... You really get a mouthful of them when you bite into it. Not too thick or tasteless.. These puffs are fried just nice.

When you are in good luck, you could get some fresh from the pot. You'll love the piping hot puffs when the curry sauce ozzes out of the thin ultra crispy crust. YUM YUM YUM.....

The filling inside consist of chunky chicken cubes and Mushy carrots, potato and etc... Be careful not to burn yourself with the piping hot fillings inside. But its pretty much worth the TONGUE BURNING experience.......

I agree with Claudia, the GV at VIVO is FAB....

The sound system is as good but what more sure love the extra leg room. Just like the GreatWorld and the Plaza Sing ones, they have adjustable hand rest.

So if you want a bigger seat to stretch yr legs across the sits, you could do so.... If the movie you're watching bores you that much you can also catch a nap.

2 counters for Popcorns, one on the lower level and one on the upper level is good for replenishing snacks in the middle of a good movie.

One thing i dislike about watching movies is that they would always expect us to find our ways by the back stair cases. It smells and I disliked that quite so much. I mean, how would one expect us to find our way out through these stinky, isolates Maze. BUT the one at VIVO isn't so, you get to exit gracefully and get back into the shopping mall quickly. Thats what i call good planning.

Only thing i don't really enjoy are the LOOs.. The place is huge and there are many signs for restrooms. But i am always so confused.... You got to enter a door and then through a small lane and then into another door and then corridor and then turn here turn there then you come to the opening for the restroom..... Maybe we should GPS THE RESTROOMS. I mean when you are in a hurry....... It could be REALLY HELPFUL

Looking for another interesting haunt to hang out with your friends? Why not come to T*3 Cube Cafe at Potong Pasir. I like this place the moment i step into it. Its a Jolly Fun place to be in. With its various colourful decorations and leisure ambience.

It feels exactly the living room everybody hopes to have when they are feeling JOLLY GOOD. I can say, this is one place with character. I describe it as Relaxingly FUN.......

Never been to a cafe FUN like this, there is just so much to do here. You can surf the net, or plug your lappy in and go crazy with an online war with your friends. If you are in for a football match, you could also hog the flat panel tv they have in the shop. But this is not all. There are a HUGE VARIETY of magazines NEW and OLD, Comic books and other reading materials for you to laze away.

If you are still not yet satisfied, you could also grab hold of the various BOARD GAMES to play with your friends. Wanna leave a footprint in this shop, write a message and paste it on their notice board.

The prices for the food and beverages here are of a very reasonable price. You know what i mean by reasonable. They serve coffee to desserts to beer and for food, they have snacks like brownies, cakes wedges to main course like sandwiches, spaghetti, lasagna, etc ,etc etc. You can get a decent meal here for less then $10, fun and entertainment is on the house. Ice blended fruit juices are only going for less then $4. Even their drinks and food are adorned with pretty little knic knacks. Its hard not to be JOLLY HAPPY here.....

This is a fun place and with the variety of options for FUN things to do here, it is hard to recommend all my friends to drop by....

One of the very few all women fitness club in town, I am AMORE fitness club's loyal fan.

I love the fact that it is a ALL WOMAN and Only WOMAN fitness club. Talk about Girl POWER.....

There are various classes available and usually in smaller groups. I like the attention of the trainers and the company of other women. WHen I am there, i need not worry how i look and am more focus on building my physique.

The classes that i enjoy most is pilates and hip hop. The gym is also fabulous. With many state of the art equipments available and a cosy changing and shower room. When i am doing the treadmill, i get a good view of the shoppers below. It reminds me of the calories i ingest and makes me more determined in burning them.

FOR the Girl POWER..... JOIN AMORE.....
