Tunisian Cuisine, is a reflection of the exotic blend of the Mediterranean influence and the nomadic nature of their desert dwelling ancestors. The distinctive spicy fieriness and the clash of brightly coloured ingredients served in equally bright and colourful hand made clay dining wares are the expressions of the friendly, bold and joyful nature of the Tunisians themselves.

One of the first and perhaps the only Tunisian Restaurant you can find in the culture melting pot of Singapore, carefully tucked in the midst of the rustic Rochester Park serving a good variety of "sun cuisine," based mainly on olive oil, spices, tomatoes, seafood and meat. With private parking spaces, a little tikes toy house to occupy the little children and located close to nature, this diner is great for families or individuals who love good food and enjoy alfresco dining with fresh air in the lush greenery.

We took a leisure walk on a breezy weekday evening here to have dinner and were greeted by aromatic freshly baked bread at the entrance. We were intrigued by the selections on the menu, though simple yet many were uncommon dishes. The staff (assuming she's the lady boss) carefully described each dish to us and by the end of it, we almost decided to order everything. Being obedient to the protest of the "non-wasteful white angel" we ordered all the Recommendations... which is somewhat the best and most authentic heirloom recipes from Tunisia itself.

From the Tapas Menu, we had
    1) The Brik - which is somewhat like a chinese spring roll which was tasty and crispy and we had to squeeze some fresh lemon juice into the roll to bring out the taste of the filling. It was well executed and filling surprising which we will not say what, yet you must order and try it for yourself. Amazing...

    2) Cous Cous Salad - This vibrant dish is tangy with loads of mixed colourful vegetable like the tomato, capsicum and many other yummy stuffs. Very appetizing and refreshing.

    3) "The Real" Chakchouka - served in a pan filled with tomato, eggs and home baked bread. We love the bread when its dipped in the pan sauce, as the burst of flavour on the piece of soaked up bread was overwhelmingly nice.

    4) Chicken Couscous Tunis - is a small grain rice dish that is made with very healthy grains that felt a little like unevenly mashed grainy potatoes. Very nice texture and yummy tasting sauce and condiments with a clean finish that was appetizing.

Dinner was extremely pleasant and friendly and we managed to dig out an interesting love story of how a Singaporean Girl met a Tunisian Man and how he lost her, found her and settled here with the WEJS...

As for the meal, it was like home cooked Tunisian Food. Down to earth, full of fresh ingredients and heart-warmingly delectable.

If you haven't tried the new G Blend from drinksuperlah.com , you might have just missed out the goodness of the super anti-oxidant mangosteen and the rarely available Gac Fruit.

While you can google all about the benefits of Mangosteen, you may not have heard of the new craze GAC FRUIT which Fox News labelled "Strange Name, Powerful Fruit". Originating in Vietnam, this fruit is not easily transported yet contain the highest concentration of beta carotene of any known fruit or vegetable (ten times as much as carrots).

I was shared the goodness of the drink by a good friend and also enlightened by my research on the need of anti-oxidants in our body since we enjoy processed food and meaty stuffs more than raw veg and berries are not widely grown in our local climate, as such we don't get them fresh and well ripe.

Its pretty straight forward to order from the DrinkSuperLah website as there is only one product and one option. So being very focus, we placed the order in the cart and proceeded to pay with our credit card. We opt for delivery and received the goods 2 days later via courier. The item arrived in a purple printed brown box with 6 glass bottles of this 'modern day elixir'. We took a good look at the nutrition facts and useful information on the box and the bottle before we dunk some ice in a glass to try it out.

One colleague liked the subtle fruity taste and another loved the texture. While I enjoyed it blended with some ice and cranberry juice to make a smoothie, another good friend of mine preferred it paired with guava juice. Its a great base for a healthy mixer and we are excited to blend it with bananas and perhaps our good old Orange Juice to see how the explosion of taste would be like. I guess there is minimal preservative as the drink was almost not sweet at all, maybe a hint from the natural juice. Petite in taste yet the thick texture gave me the impression of the great amount of fruits used in one bottle.

I briefly noted a fine print that states consume within 3 days of opening... which indicated to me the au-natural characteristics of the drink with little preservations as we know synthetic drinks with lots of preservatives tend to last forever... Thumbs Up!

Very quick delivery and secure site, we hope there would be more varieties of similar drinks with similar goodness otherwise better to be included on the site. Thank you friend for introducing the drink, you know who you are :)

Got my quick fix on my sweet tooth at the Bread Talk Cafe at westgate last weekend. Love the entire look of the cafe as it served up a good variety of local fairs. Nice clean environment with plenty of seats however we didn't manage to dine there as lunch was way too heavy.

Love the idea of a permanent outdoor cart that served up churros. Churros were crispy and smelt heavenly. You get 3 flavors to choose from such as with chocolate and chopped nuts, cinnamon sugar and just plain.

We tried the chocolate chopped nuts and its yummy. It was fluffy and crispy on the outside while the chocolate and chopped nut provided more taste and texture and well, service was great with friendly aunties getting us whatever we wanted and advised us on a good deal on bundled buys. Nice idea of having the cart and yummy churros...

Fell in love with this cafe... The setting was nice for a slow lunch and food was amazing especially sandwiches and other baked items. The cakes were so good and made with one of the healthiest recipe that did not compromise with looks and taste.

Its a pretty new joint opened a couple months ago at the edge of the entire mall where you can see the service road while being carefully hidden by a wall of greenery. Not many tables however good enough to house say about 30 people max.

The selection on the menu was not extensive however the variety was exquisite. I shall skip the yummy bakery and the oh so fantastic cakes for this review but just would like to mention the Beetroot burger that had blown me way off...

It was a vegetarian burger that I thought would be"vegetarianly bland" tasting and by the way is what I label as a HEALTHY DIET... While being extra fervent for a somewhat saintly food, after a hedious korean BBQ last night i've decided why not try the beetroot burger and despite the redish sauce that stained almost everything, the burger was delicious.

The bun was a crispy herby bread I've ordered which is likely a foccasia (I've forgotten what bread I've asked for) and well stuffed with a good choice of greens with a beetroot patty that actually do look like grilled medium done beef... The grilled beetroot patty was well seasoned that tasted yummy, with a good texture and the entire burger was just delicious with no bland taste... Nicely paired with avocado and a healthy olive oil dressing made this burger extremely tasty even to a non vegetable loving individual like me.

So I'm giving it a 5 star for making a vegan burger taste yummy and better than regular beef burgers....

The thing I love about Elly G despite her good taste in her apparels are the accessories. Simply not because they looked tasteful and are inexpensive, rather because of the mix in style, materials used and the small part of quirkiness that made it a WOW factor for me.

I spotted this one piece that was rather Jaw Dropping for me and while I couldn't hate myself enough for not buying it when i see it... Its a black matt coated chained chunky neckless that had a black ribbon weaved into the hard metal with pretty ornaments in various textured and hues of black, made with interesting materials like rubber, plastic and metal.

There were many intriguing statement accessories that is not only outstanding but unique as well. I managed a small conversation with Miss Elly G herself and in the midst of smiles and friendly gestures, she revealed to me her passion for lovely things with bits and pieces of details on each of the pieces laid on the table.

I had the most wonderful time going through the pretty things laid out and wished to purchase more... Will be checking out her facebook stalls more often these days. Price is reasonable and pieces are one of a kind.

This green little Chanel inspired tiny bag caught my eye... It was really puffy and is tiny enough to fit into the small frame of a little girl. So i took it, checked it and fell in love with it.

The design came in a good array of colours like pink, baby blue, bright green, cyan and many more other baby colours that little girls will sure to love. There are also many girl's bag selections, some cute, some really pretty and some to pair off with mummy's branded collection.

The little girl's apparels selection are quite good too. I've checked the material like I always do to make sure to rough edges or spiky material, otherwise soft and comfy for the tender child's skin and found the material used was good and soft with good printing and colour that doesn't run when washed.

Pretty prints and nice accessories to match with, the friendly store owner is not fussy and allowed us close inspection for the merchandise before we purchased. The make was good, even the tiny mechanical parts were well oiled with no sharp edges that might cut through a child's hand as handling is not so careful with kids.

Overall selection was good, make good and service was friendly, we enjoyed shopping at their booth during the blogshop clearance 6 and their items quickly ran out due to the overwhelming crowd.

We were pretty surprised by the collection of children's clothings at this booth during the Blogshop Clearance 6 Sales Bazaar. Well, first we loved the prints and the geometrical designs and second the cuts are so fashionable which to a certain extent looked great even for an adult.

We never imagined that children's fashion could be so stylish and totally love the Hip-Hop range that kinda reminded us of the famous eye-candies from the Korean Boy Bands. The selections in designs and colours was pretty good, not too many to choose from yet enough to mix and match the entire wardrobe. It made us envy of the children these days... Well, we had to live with awfully brightly coloured cartoon characters that made us looked "Cute.... -duh... in another words Ugly but Adorable" and boring plain coloured stretchy pants that goes pale as we grow older.

Just like a stylish adult's wardrobe, the different pieces can be styled to match with other pieces for different fashionable looks and I was even more surprised to see pictures of handsome and pretty little boys and girls modelling their clothings.... It was really stylish and cool, pretty and smart... We had a check on their fabric and find them very comfy and well the stitching and make is generally good and long lasting.

Accessories is a must to have and we're glad they provided them. Cool glasses, matching back packs and other stylish stuffs that differentiated the cool kids with the regular kids... - well I believe each kid should have at least a piece of more fashionable item for that special day or moment... be it a pair of rayban looking shades, a nice utility jacket or a pair of geometrically printed jeans...

Thank you for giving us a chance for a kid's fashion revolution.

If you like little trinkets then you must pop by Bellezasales facebook shop to check out the pretty ear studs, bracelets and everything else thats "OH SO IN !"...

One of the regular participants at fleas, i'm surprised to see the goods displayed change with the season and some of my favourites were the cute looking earrings that looked super duper pretty yet cost only a little. If you like korean fashion outfits, then you would enjoy their pretty dress and blouses.

Love the good variety, the good quality of the accessories as well as the fashionable choices of apparel selections. More with the good service and friendly chit chats with the owner of the store. Very enjoyable shopping experience and items were price worthy.. Got some great gifts for friends without burning my pocket.. :)

Check them out at their more permanent pop up outlets at JCube (J-Avenue) and Far East Shopping Centre...

If you are looking for that special gift to WOW your friends or something unique to place in your home then you MUST have one of Duttie-Pop's FAMOUS Pop Arts... Its pop arts of famous characters and legendary people with a piece of their thoughts in the form of short quotes...

I simply love the designs, the colours and the nice glossy texture framed into a compact square which came in 2 sizes and I hope more to come... New designs and characters are added through time yet my first love is still the Albert Einstein... His quote is one that depicts the crux of intelligence that we can never imagine how simple words combined together can bring such great meaning to be pondered upon.

Though some quotes by some characters don't quite make sense to me yet... i believe Man U fans of Liverpool fans will know exactly what the quotes mean...

Its a great gift for friends and makes a superb wall collection for your house... Am looking forward to clear a space on my wall for more of these beautiful pop arts... AMAZING...

Its a pretty Bizarre christmas flea. This time round... we had Anime Festival Asia held in-concurrent with the Blogshop Clearance 6 Sales Bazaar... and what more bizarre is for us to spot a super cute human sized Sailor Moon with hairy legs...

While we shopped and got shoved by crowds and crowds of anime enthusiasts, we got lots of fun taking pictures with these life-form inspired characters that look, sound and some smell like the actual anime characters they portray. The most amazing was when the inspired human character meets their POPART pieces at Duttie POP .

I must say of all the fleas and sales events I've gone to, this had to be the most fun. We also spotted some dressed up Japanese creatures of some kind and even a mermaid treading through the busy walkways of the flea booths trying to buy some pretty fashion and accessories while some just busy posing for cameras and secretly coveting the great bargains at the flea.

It actually felt a little warm this time round though partly because of the huge crowd that came so early, earlier then any of the stalls awoken and left much later after closing... The air was filled with excitement and laughter and I felt the management did a good job in listening to the request of the booth owners.

It rained heavily and the roof of suntec convention center actually leaked... while the pittle pattle got heavier, the organizer acted to shift the booths away and allocate them better locations and for some its a change of Feng Shui that gave them great business.

It was a great experience shopping with the cosplay and I was inspired to do Cosplay when the chance arises and I believe a great experience for the booth owners as well.. Flea events are just not only about selling, its also getting to know new friends, new business opportunities, fresh inspiration and grabbing a good bargain from another seller.... I simply love fleas... they are just so fun and refreshing....
