Calling all Kueh Kueh Fans.... The best Kueh Kueh in town featuring famous MINI ANG KU KUEH and All other sorts of NoNya or non NoNya Kuehs....

Molly is my personal favourite place to appease my sweet tooth. It is truely a place when contemporary meets tradition snacks, bakery and desserts. The variety is just too huge to describe. Let me introduce you my all time favourites.

    No.1 AnG Ku KuEh.... (AKK)
When we eat AKK, the first thing we decide if its a good AKK, will be the skin. The skin should be nice, soft but not too oily with a little chewy taste and thin enough not to chew too long. The filling should be plentiful, not too sweet and of the right wetness. Molly's AKK has all these perfect features and thats makes it my NO.1 AKK. If normal size AKK is too much for you, you can choose the smaller bite size ones and they come in a variety of colours, each colour representing different flavours on the skin. Like Yellow is for a tinge of durian taste, purple for yam, greyish for sesame and red for orginal.

    No.2 Otah
The Otah they provide comes in spicy and non-spicy flavours. A non- chilli tolerant me will love to have the non-spicy one which is also good for kids. The flesh is so plentify and juicy. Ever had a juicy Otah, this is one. Such fresh fish meat fillings with a squart of sauce everytime you bite into it. It is really what we call by QQ you tan xing...

    No.3 IKan Billies with peanuts
They come in nicely airtight containers, NIcely seasoned ikan billies with nuts and fried till its crispy and savoury. I usually stock up a few containers of this to go with porridge or just eat it on its own.. Beware.. you can really get hooked on that. Goes best with a nice can of beer......

For the variety of savoury snacks and reasonable prices i give it all thumbs up and all toes up...... Up Up and Away........

That day i was walking aimlessly at Suntec city mall, trying to digest my lunch in my very full stomach. Some dazzling Sleek looking APPLE computers caught my eye. As i venture nearer to my new found interest i realised that i have stepped into a part of Suntec City Mall that i had never really been. It all kind of looked different then before so with a heartfull of curiosityi ventured into this new found maze. There was 2 shops that drove me entirely GAGA.... One is ME CUBE...

What really caught my eye was this normal looking notice board placed outside the shop stuck with plennty of papers with prices and simple description. At a closer look.... I almost fainted... 1GB thumbdrive with lifetime warranty going at $19 NET.. WOW.... Thats a good bargain. Upon entering the shop, was this very cute and friendly shop keeper. The goods they carry are mostly thumb drives, memory cards of all sorts, some other accessories and enelope rechargeablebatteries. Though not alot of items, but the prices are really compatible to SIM LIM SQUARE or perhaps even better. I bought a sleek looking thumbdrive that i'm sure i'll look chic when i use it with my girlfriends and their spying eyes, looking to critic every unfashionable moves. And some eneloop batteries which are a pretty good bargain. As i wanted very much to try this brand for my camera which by the way only consume lithium ion energizer. I have friends who used it and had really good reviews about it.

For a shop in the heart of town with such reasonable prices, i would give him two thumbs up plus two Fat Toes up.....

If you like delicious ribs or succulent generous slabs of steak, you should come try it out at the HOGS BREATH CAFE. This cafe is very much AUSSIE... When you step into this restaurant, immediate you can feel an overcoming AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE in the air. The whole saloon theme is very well blend with the menu. A slab of your hunting prize nicely grilled in wood fire topped with roughly cut sides is simply the best adventure you can get.

Nice timber sits for everybody, compliments of a wild feast adventure. May it be a date for two, a outing for a family of 6 or an after school gathering for 20. They have cosy furnitures to accomodate them all. Nicely spaced and warm friendly staff attentive to your every need.

Now lets talk about the food.. yes the food *drool......*
The portion is really good for an australian diet, but for me, a not very huge eater is a little too much. I ordered a El Grande Prime Rib all for myself. let me describe it a little. Its a Seared Prime Rib with Cheese sauce, tomato salsa and sliced jalapenos. Believe me, its a slab of prime 300g steak and it is very very juicy. Even though i ordered a medium well, I think they under cooked it a little, but its fresh and so sweet. I really don't mind the little undercook. The sides i chose was a baked potato and salad. Now if you are a side lover, then the appetizers will definitely suffice. But if you are a steak lover, then you may wanna add $8 for an extra 100g of premium cut steak. OOoooohhh.... That is wat i call HOGGING GOOD meal....

While i was enjoying my meal, i saw this challenge which i think is very interesting but definitely not for the weak hearted and the tiny stomachs like mine. Let me tell you more...

If you can finish a slice of 1KG of prime Steak in one meal, you get to eat it for free but if you can't you would have to pay. Boy.. 1 KG of steak is ALOT OF STEAK.... but if you are up to the challenge, you not only win a meal and perhaps some prizes, you so win REPUTATION... because only a small handful even dare to challenge this. For information, you can visit their website at www.hogsbreathcafe.com.sg

The atmosphere was nice, food is very good but i felt very bloated when i walked out of the restaurant. Its a little pricey, my meal for 2 cost about $80 with taxes. Which is about 32 plates of chicken rice. heehee! But its definitely worth a try. An wildlife adventure in the heart of Singapore. Really worth the experience. And boy.. they have a cute piggie mascot....

Totally agreed! The place has a very sleazy feel to it, with live canto pop music, "ah lians" trying to get you to buy drinks, and terrible pole dance performances.

During the only time that I was there, the male singer walked off during his singing simply because he was mad at a particular customer for a reason unknown to me. Absolutely unprofessional.

    Ding Ding Dong... KuShinBo...

    Does it ring a bell?

I went for dinner at KuShinBo the other day and BOY THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD! Especially the FAT JUICY ALASKAN CRABS. Ooohh.. the white meat was so huge and Soosoo Sweet.

The Buffet had a wide variety of every sort Japanese cuisine, such as fresh succulent Sashimi, Freshly grilled seafood, Soupy stuffs, tempura and more. What surprises me is that they will CHEONG you to eat with their special items. They will play this JINGLE and when you hear it... Get Ready, on your Mud... Get Set.... Go and queue for a special item which ranges from Cheesy Slipper Lobsters to grilled scallops. Boy ... am i salivating now. Even if at the point of time you feel that you have already eaten an elephant, you will still charge for that one small item that you hope it fits in your tummy.

If you are the kind that drinks alot, you should be very glad because you have an assortment of beverages to choose ranging from freshly brewed coffee to tangy fruit punches and more. For those with a raging sweet tooth, they have a wide variety of traditional japanese desserts to fancy cakes, delicious handmade chocolates, cookies, cute fruit tarts, creamy ice creams and our all time favourite... freshly cut fruits. Thats not all yet... They also have a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN pleasently known as a FONDUE.. How CHIC...
If you miss the days when you get to lick on that brightly coloured cotton candy... so fluffy.. so pretty.. Then don't forget to get one when the DING DING DONG starts... I love that soo soo much, it really brings back alot of childhood memories.

For Food that quality and quantity, Seriously i really don't mind the price... $39.80 for dinner on a weekend sounds prefectly all right... if you had gone hungry for the last 3 days and can seriously make it to gobble up an elephant...
You might not think that its worth the price when you see the tightly placed tables and not so soothing ambience, but when you see the SPREAD OF THE BUFFET.... and taste the sweet sweet Fleshy JUICY CRAB... You will think that its all WORTH IT...

They also do promotions for certain catagories of people at certain time and day... such as Ladies Nite... and lunch or dinner on weekdays are much more affordable.

For those desperate like me and loves to eat....
Start thinking how to reduce your height to less then 1.4m.. because for that you only get to pay $16 at all times.

If you can't then be a senior citizen, you get 10% off at all times. Wah..Lah... FEAST ON....

The food is fabulous, i give all thumbs up including 5 toes...
Definitely not for the weak hearted...

Interesting fusion food such as jap curry noodle and many others. If you're arent a big eater, do share with someone else as the portions are big. Great service too. Only gripe, long queues and its a tad pricy. :)

Chong Pang Nasi Lemak has got the nicest chicken wings and drumsticks that I've ever tried! Superbly crispy and tasty, and the size is huge.

The nasi lemak rice itself and the other side dishes are good too. Queue is usually pretty long, so be prepared to wait.

And the shop itself is not very accessible unless you drive. But definitely worth the trip!

Alessi is an Italian kitchenware company which is famous for its colorful and playful designs.

Their products can really turn the otherwise dull and boring kitchen into a fun place to cook and prepare food. Such as the futuristic-looking lemon squeezer, the cutesy eggcup, and the Anna G. wine bottle corkscrew pictured above.

For people who believes in form over function (that's not saying that Alessi products lack functionality), this is the perfect place to get your kitchenware!

Hong Kong cafes are all the rage recently! And this Tong Shui Cafe along Liang Seah Street is one of them. But in my opinion, not the best of them.

The cafe is usually pretty packed (these days, which Hong Kong cafe isn't?) so big groups might find it difficult to get seats.

I tried their Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Wolfberries and Iced Yin Yong, which are decent. But at $8.88, I am inclined to say that it's a little high on price.

They also have the very popular Nissin noodles, which I should try one day!

Looking for a shopping mall for all your home furnishing needs? Park Mall is the place to go! Well, provided you have the budget to match.

The shops here mostly carry upmarket designer furniture such as Philippe Starck and Herman Miller.

If you got the dough, you might just find the perfect things to beautify your home. Otherwise, even window-shopping here is not a bad idea at all!
