I passed by there just two days ago and quite crowded inside the coffeeshop. My friends did comment about their steaks and fish & chips are very nice.
I wanted to try on that day but find it very crowded during lunch, so I told myself that I come some other day.
I will definitely try it out and if I am not wrong their old stall previously was at Lorong 7 Toa Payoh, Blk 8 coffeshop where the fishball dried noodle stall is also very tasty.
The Blk 8 coffeeshop is crowded because of the fishball dried noodle.
Kilkennysaid: Nope, their old stall was at Blk 55 Toa Payoh, which is just across the road. :) 27 Sep 2007 at 9:44 am

I am recommending a stall in Whampoa Hawker Centre which is now under renovation, but presently relocated at somewhere near the renovating hawker centre. The stall name is LoyKee Chicken Rice which also sells steamboat and at a cheaper price. The large steamboat costs only $20 and small one $15 with more ingredients than the Golden Mile which costs $32 for 4 persons. Even the whole chicken costs only $20 and half chicken costs $10 at LoyKee. Golden Mile whole chicken costs $28 and half costs $14. Golden Mile service is fast, in fact they are so fast that I had been charged $1 more which I did not pursuit. I considered it as a tip for the fast service. I also witnessed another table arguing over the bill amount. I think they are not honest when come to billing customers.
If you happen to be at Whampoa, please try the stall and you will never visit Golden Mile Thien Kee again.
The LoyKee's chicken is cooked just right, very smooth and tender. The chicken rice is very fragrant, their chilli and ginger are just wonderful.
I think you saw so many people at the Golden Mile means the food must be good, typical Singaporean style of viewing.
LoyKee Chicken Rice is not only tastes better they are also cheaper.
I never like sweet stuff, but when I was in Suntec during the comm fair, saw a long queue for this round rings fondly known as donuts. I was hesitating whether to buy some as most Singaporeans think, long queue means the stuffs must be good.
So I decided to line up behind a guy who had a box of it in hand. He offered me a piece when I asked him about the taste. I never tasted such a delicious donut and I brought 2 boxes of six in each box.
It has so many different delicious flavor donuts that I simple can't describe or tell you which one is the best.
They really have their own individual taste and delicious flavor.
You really must try it even I don't like sweet stuffs still enjoy it and like what Claudia has said, the queue is really very long.
Hello, Endoh taiki, I can't agree with you more, it is the best Pig Organ Soup I ever tasted when one of my friends brought me to the stall a few years back and there no turning back ever since.
You will never go to other pig organ soup outlets after eating from this stall.
Even the Tiong Bahru stall that won the Channel U Best Pig organ soup cannot match this outlet.
I don't know why others chosen Tiong Bahru than this outlet which I think came in third, I don't know which outlet came in second.
The soup is just wonderful and my son always must order the bigger bowl to satisfy his taste buds. Nobody must miss it, it is just too good not to try it and you will leave with the bowl empty, the only thing remain behind is the pepper residue.
The price of Fei Fei wanton noodle has increased to $2.50 & $3.00 since last year. I have been eating the noodle since 1979 when their father was the chef that handmade the noodle inside his house and their stall was just behind the back door compound. If you want some soup you must finish your noodle and use the same bowl to get the soup, that remind me when I was a little kid in the 60s, where soup was also serve this way. They moved to the present coffee shop in the late 80s because operating behind their house is prohibited by law. Their house is just a few metre away from the coffee shop. There are a few Fei Fei outlets, I only patronise the one at Joo Chiat because it is the original outlet. The taste of wanton noodle at this stall is still the same, very tasty and smooth, all wanton noodle lovers must try it out.
Bobosaid: Hi! I dunno maybe it's becos my stomach is small and I always ask for less. Maybe that's why I'm charged less but I didn't know that it made that diff in price. I still had $2.50 last couple of months 18 Sep 2007 at 12:31 am
