We stayed at the Sivalai Place for the third time in a year in July and were very happy we decided to return. Once again we enjoyed the attention to detail that characterises the Sivalai Place - the warm and extremely helfpul staff, the great smoothies. It is in a quiet, non-touristy street but is a comfortable walk to the local market and see the local life. Just 15 minute drive to Wongwien yai which then takes you to the Skytrain station. There are street stalls and noddle stalls selling great food within easy walkiing distance - and a 10 minute drive to Wang Lang Pier (where there are plenty of foods and shops). Yes, it may be a bit expensive compared to other places available in Bangkok, but the standard of service offered by the Sivalai Place and its unique style make it great value for money - much better than a big hotel on the river. We will certainly be staying there again next time we're in Bangkok. [Read more] |
