Whenever I feel very stress or I have craving for sweet stuff, I will definately drop by Cedele Depot at Jelita Cold Storage...
The CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE CAKE is heaven! It’s not those sponge cake kind... How should I describle? When you take a bite, your teeth juz melts into the chocolate! Be careful too... There is a THICK layer of chocolate powder on top! The chocolate powder is a little bitter... Hence... the cake is neutalise... Not too sweet!
BTW, this Cedele Deport is a counter branch only... They only sell Bread and Cake... No coffee... No tea... No soup...

Usually a slice of cake will cost $5 and a cup of coffee will cost $6... Hence this "Take a Break" set is really worth it!
My girlfriend had CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE CAKE... Hence I try their CARROT CAKE (not cai tou kway k?)... I still prefer the CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE CAKE...
Anyway if you are not the cake person, the soup serve here is also quite nice... I didn't order but I see almost every table, there's the soup... Mind you... The soup is not that cheap... I think abt $7 but free flow of bread....
Thinnly slice black pig, u juz need to 'wash' it in the hotpot for a few seconds... and it's done... It's very very sweet!
The soup base is actually rice water.... No taste... But the soup base not meant to drink...
After you finsihed the black pig and the veggie, next is the tofu porridge... Tofu is added to the rice soup base... I believe the tofu is from japan... not our local tofu... I also believe everything is from japan...
Anyway..the tofu porridge, u juz add salt and egg to taste... OISHI!
Personally... I love Crystal Jade... But out of all the different outlets... La Mian & Xiao Long Bao, no matter which branch, is definately a no-no for me...
And the branch at JP, the food is juz so-so... And the service... SUXs....
I went there on a friday night with my mummy... Knowing that the queue will be very long... I went to take my number even before my mum arrive... (when I took the number, mum was still at home)....
So when my mum arrive (around 30 mins later), our table was ready... So for me... no time wasted...
I agreed the pasta was superb... But... Too Bad... My mum feels that the food is not hot enough... The soup was cold... The pasta was cold too... I guess bcos of the crowd... They pre-cooked most of the stuff...
