The Old Hoshi had lousy service but the new Hoshi with its New Renovation and New Look still have lousy service... However, the manager looks like a fine active, nice and enthusiastic Man.....

Perhaps its the management system, perhaps its the culture.. Perhaps its even the people they choose to hire.... What i want is just a good refill of hot green tea in my cup and food to be served fast, fresh and tasty....

I cannot deny the fact that Hoshi's Menu is a little pricey... and i always thought it was authentic japanese food... But things really changed when i heard the japanese looking sushi chef spoke in China Chinese.... I was a little amazed.... I didn;t know China Chinese Chef (CCC) can make such good authentic jap cuisines.. However, i hope to think that not all are CCC in the kitchen...

The new Hoshi looks great... Ample space.... Nice Layout.... however the buffet is gone... The last time i went, there is only ala cart... meaning from the cart... *shui mei!! Har Kow!! Xiao Long Bao!!*

The set menus are great.... The must have would be the Sashimi..... Fresh Succulent Juicy Raw Fish.. always taste good no matter how pissed you are from being ignored. Heh heh! The food I must say is pretty good for us Kampong Jurong Residents.... I mean there is not much to choose from....*So Don't Complain!!!*

It is pricey for lunch.... And its always crowded on lunch times.. You could really see the waiteresses and waiters running around.... and beyond that confusion... the Sashimi still taste as good... Yum.......

Pictures speaks a thousand words.. No Matter what i say... just look at the picture and imagine the BEST :)

I was looking for some classic books such as Narnia, InkHeart, etc. I already went to many mega bookstores and to my amazement, I found what I was looking for nowhere but PageOne.

A serious looking, huge bookstore with a green logo is all i could remember of Pageone. The interior decoration was nothing less then interesting. I love the center elevated portion best.. The elevated areas with book shelves crooked and slanted is like a replication of a study room in the pirates bunk on board a huge ship seeking a treasure. Beautiful, intrinsic details of the shelves and slanted floor makes it so much a fantasy to me.

While browsing through the collection of books, I realised this one thing..... unlike some book stores... The titles are a plenty however, there are only one or two copies, which makes a huge variety of titles for you to choose from in one shelf. While in some bookstores... They have many books and have them in many repeated copies in which you will have a whole shelf full of similar titles. Not much a Selection.

I was actually looking for some intrinsic designed novels such as ancient logo embossed hard cover with brown paper in gold tinted edges for my collection. I found the title i wanted and some other bonus catch as well....

I find that for a book shop, the amount of selection is most important, however, what is important is the ambience and space. In PageOne, you can take your time to browse through the books and there are soothing jazz music playing in the background. If you find something you like and want to read a little of it before deciding to purchase, there are some sits hidden near the glass windows for you to browse through. Though Limited, these sits offers a great sea view which makes the entire "searching for a book" process much more enjoyable.

If you like chinese books, be it novels or general references, there is a good selection of multiple titles at the back of the book store.

This is a pretty serious book store.... Straight to the point, comprehensive and you might find some gems here... Reasonably priced and great services......

    A must go for BookWorms......

I love body shop.... I could remember when I was a little girl, I am always intrigued by the perfume oils that comes in delicate small little fat round bottles. They smell so nice and have a hundred and one uses. You can use them as perfumes or drop a few drop in your bowl of dried flowers or perhaps onto the edge of your pillow for a flowery dream.... I could say.. I grew up with The Body Shop....

As i grew, my love for beautiful and nice smelling things grew too.... I started loving fruitty soaps and flowery body wash..... Whats better then starting a day emerging from a hot shower smelling like a blooming garden in spring.....

Lately, I have been really crazy with their range of cosmetics. I find the blushers great to put on, eye-shadows having the most beautiful hues..... and the other thing i love is the shimmering stuffs they have.. Like shimmering body lotions and the shimmer powder that is laced with White Musk Fragrance.... It sure adds on the glam to your night gown.... The slight shimmer glowing on your skin sure makes you look more enchanting and less bare when you are dressed to kill, be it clubbing or attending a formal dinner.

Their range of products are good, useful and value for money. Most importantly they are enviromentally nuturing and supports a good cause. It makes the shopping spree much more justifiable.

Bring home useful products at a good Cost and for a good Cause

I was looking for some Funky, Sporty and Young Gift for a Young Girl the other day.. I walked around everywhere in Plaza Sing yet.. theres nothing really nice and sporty..... until... I stepped into Flash n Splash..... Its a huge shop with everything trandy, auzzie and sporty.... especially beach and water sports...

A Haven for Teens, Youths and Young Adults like me.. You get all the famous beach wear brands like billabong, all in one roof...... What more... They have a good assortments of Bags, Slippers, Caps, Bikinis and other funky stuffs.... The prices are reasonably approachable and when i was there there was some discounts for some older designs...

I love the bags. They come in all sizes, trendy designs and for all occasions. There are bags for a beach picnic or for clubbing by the beach and they also throw in duffles for you to runaway.... *Just an expression.. not to be taken seriously* I am pretty surprised and excited with the assortments of stuffs you can buy in this one shop and yet I only got a useful funky velcro wallet that has many compartments for your coins, cards, notes, keys and your darling's photo as well as a lanyard that can be connected to the wallet to hang around your neck or fasten to your belt for safe keeping...

The stuffs there are made to be easy maintainence yet cool and casually stylish.... Nice place to shop to get pieces for islanders like US.....

I love it I love it I love it.. The TonKatsu or Rosu Katsu is super duper marvelicious......

It is one of the best pork cutlet I ever had.. the meat is tender and juicy what more the crust crispy and not oily... If you like something more heavy, try the cheesy tonkatsu.... Its super nice.. Melted Cheese atop a beautifully fried juicy loin with a glimming golden crust and sprinkled with some bright orange fish roe..... *Slurp*...... I love it best with alot of thick sourish sauce.. I don't know what its called but it do taste abit like plum sauce...... Wonderful dish to go with the yummy rice.

I think its an interesting place too, as i was never given roasted sesame in a grinding bowl for garnishing on top of my bowl of pearl grained rice. It comes with a bullish stick when u just move round and round the bamboo stricken bowl.. Be careful not too grind too much as you might want to retain a little crunchiness of the roasted sesame.. The wonderful aroma of sesame just made the whole dining more then perfect.

There is also a bed of cabbage underneath your fried pork... Its crunchy and does not have that wierd cabbage taste... I love to pour alot of the other sauce.. which is sourish like vinagratte, housed in a glass bottle... I love the cabbage with lots of sauce.. For a non-cabbage eater to a cabbage gobbler..... you can imagine how yummy it was....

For those who needs more fibre in their diet, this is the place to dine at as you can ask for unlimited servings of cabbage top ups..... Eat as much as you can.. and I love their genorisity as at every refill.... They give you a mountain of cabbage... Its just such a fullfilling thing to be served a great portion.....

If you can.. try the coffee jelly as well... Its something very exquisite.. Served in short glasses... These KOPI O Jello comes with a drizzle of sweeten milk ontop... As you scoop into the jello... you could taste the sweet milk yet the clashing bitterness of the jello. As you mix them in your mouth.. you will get to experience the extraordinaire of coffee with milk together yet apart.....

The set meals comes in huge servings.. good enough to serve 2 for average female diners... Its a must try for all those jap food lovers....

Brewerkz is one of my favourite hangouts.. It was one of the first few micro-breweries in town and it was there way before i learn how to club.... and way before i realise the need to pluck my eyebrows.... Nevermind about that.. Anyway.... me and my famous GAGA Gang.. Just celebrated DA YI MA's Birthday there....

It was pretty nice though they lost my phone booking.... They still gave us a nice long table... As usual we ordered their famous beers.. and I in particular enjoy the wheat beer.. Its light, refreshing and soothing to your throat and i believe anyone who tried brewerkz beers, may find it hard to accept canned beers. Unlike the normal local canned or bottled beer, freshly brewed beers are easy to drink and is not gassy yet not flat.... The indian brew is also nice... heavier and slightly bitter however.. still more preferred as to bottled beers....

Now to the food.. My favourite is the ASIAN SOBA NOODLE SALAD.. Its healthy, yummy and not to mention packed with full of zest. I particularly like the Vinagratte Sauce with crispy crackers sprinkled on top... Its do taste abit like YuSheng, the kind we eat during CNY, however.. coupled with good salad veg and soba noodles, the combination is just heavenly....

The pizza is OK... and I must mention that the BURGERS are great... I love the naked brewerkz burger the best.... The patty is just so so fresh and sweet.. however... such a great burger is partnered with machine cut fries.. which i felt quite a gourmet spoiler.... If it was coupled with freshly cut chips, i mean just use a potato cutter and slice them into strips.. It would be HEAVENLY....

The deserts are nice too.. however after much beer... everything does not taste as good as beer....

Oh yar.. the birthday cake.. The staff was very nice to freeze my cake before serving it with loads of singing waiteresses and of course the cute waiters.... with a large array of candles... some tall some shorts. and some I must say... pretty HUGE..... Though I very much HOPE for a cute dancing male striptease.. However.. that did not happen...
The singing and HOOHA... with the saliva splatterd all over the cake is good enough for DA YI MA's Birthday Celebration.

It is definitely a great place to chill with friends, catch up with long lost pals and drown your blues with good beer.. I mean anyway.. you're going to get drunk.... Get drunk with something nice...

PS... I went there for lunch on valentine's and i was given a rose by the staff there, which was in a sore state when i got home at night.. However.. with a swish of cool water in a bottle and my mum's magic sword to trim the stem the flower bloomed into a beautiful sight and was a GIANT ROSE..

So Boyfriends out there.. if you don't feel like kanna tok on V-Day, head down to brewerks.. Have a burger, free one rose.... :)

This Happen to be one of my favorite hang outs in jurong point. Matter of fact.. You don't get much hang outs in jurong as its really quite in the surburb... Siam Kitchen has been there sitting quietly next to the OLD NTUC in today's JP1....

i don't think their food is that.. Great.. however with the set lunches going at S$11.90 with drink, main course and appetizer, its pretty worth it...

I particularly like the karapok they serve when you get sitted... dunk it in their yummy sweetie chilli sauce... Already quite yummy....

Their thai beef noodle is pretty nice... with the beef balls so real.... they always get stuck in between my teeth... Kway Teow so smooth.... I can slurp it all up in one go...

I also like the mango salad.... sour, spicy and full of Oomph.... Especially with cashewnuts... Its extra tasty.... However... Beware of the dynamites. Yes.. they are red and small.. If you chew on them.. You will guarantee to turn red and explode... The Baby Chilli Padis.... is quite an adventure... For those who love HOT HOT HOT STUFFS... ask for a spoonful from the waitress....

Green Curry also nice... especially with the koropok..... Ask for an extra serving to get your money's worth.....

Its pretty nice however, quiet which i don't understand why. Eversince they stopped having their buffets.. this place is more or less a dead town... Which is also a great thing for me.... imagine this.. No queues, No irrtating kids bumping you off the chair... No babies squeeling away.... No Old man putting his dentures into the cup of ice water.....

This place a super haven for me.......... MY COMPLETE HIDEOUT!

This is the place where i had my birthday last year.. The food is great... I personally love the Chips.... They are REAL CHIP Slices from a real potato and thats both healthy and yummy.. No preservatives and I won't become a MUMMY.... The Egyptian Mummy i mean. The Burger is also one to die for... succulent beef.. juicy and yummy and the rest on the menu, i love it all.

But besides the food I have to say the ambience is great.... I personally love the string lights..... So Romantic..... One cannot help but want to run your fingers through the lights like you will do the same to your hair... And when you get a little more tipsy.. You might think you will burn your fingers on them... But before you run your hand and bring it near to your face, take cheesy pictures with the lights near to your face..... STOP AND STARE... While you stare think about how many hundreds of patrons already did that and not forgetting their OILY FACES... FINGERS... and whatever.. Not forgetting the Super Pukers who might have already puked on them a thousand times..... THINK,.......

The service is great.. waitress and waiters run around alot.. Not forgetting the occasional handsome waiters..... They are generally helpful and friendly...... and prompt with your request.... especially when you ask for the bill..

The Live Band is great... previously from China Jump at CHIJMES... BOY I STILL MISS THE DENTIST CHAIR.... ALL CHINA JUMP Fans out there...... Jive Talking is HERE...... and the band had changed some of the players but They are still very much their oldselves..... Love the music they play.... Its somewhere between the old and the new... and they have such great groove.. You can't help but will move to the beat..

The crowd is great too.. You see many yuppies and caucasians as well as local hot babes... A must go... for all you love clubbers....

    See you there on fridays......

If you like the cool afresco clubbing you will like peppermint park... Its wierd.. theres not a single peppermint plant there however.. there are many potted plants and baby trees around which is quite serene... The place is great for mini parties or perhaps just to chill out with a friend or two.. Sits are great... stiff sofas and hanging benches for those who love a little more dizziness...

Its even better when you have BUY 1 and GET 2 free Beers.... Come at 6pm and you have 3 hours of drink till you drop happy times. Snack with their great finger food... The chicken wings and fries are great.. The batter they use to fry the chicken with is both savoury and yummy.... One of the best chicky wings i ever had... I love their wedges and nacho basket as well... A good generous serving with cheesy cheese sauce and Cheeky Salsa......

Great place to hang out... Great place to Chilll.... Definitely great place to meet up with your pals...

A must go... for all those Cool Cute guys and gals.. Catch me there.. again n again n again.... * BURB*

I've got great memories for this place.....

I used to work nearby there when i just graduated and I simply love the whole setting. I can still remember my friends illegal parking their cars by the side of the road and having coffee with while scrambling off when MR TP come...

Its a great place to skive at work... Oh no.... I should say hold decent meetings and catch up with your customers.

Coffee is always great and the deco reminds us of the older singapore days... I personally love the thin crispy toast with COLD STORAGE BUTTER.. and the RUNNY Eggs... Runny eggs not runny nose.... To hell with weight watchers...... Its so worth it to splurge all the calories on a nice teabreak like this....

Its just not easy to make such wonderful runny eggs and yummy crispy ear crunching toast... REALLY GREAT HANGOUT..

When Boss Returns to Office you can immediately get back to office and appear like you just came out of the Loo... Beware of the tale - telling bread Crumbs....
