Last thursday while i was rushing for an emergency pee pee while walking from raffles hotel to raffles city shopping center i came across a very interesting shop. Its not a shop actually, its a push cart... All i remembered was i glanced at a nice big brown bag that seemed leather to me from afar before i disappeared into the alley in search of the ladies.

Next i knew, i was already browsing at the nice bags, mostly leather i think. According to the lady it is low quality calf leather. The bags felt really soft and the designs were great. Looking around i saw there bags of different shapes, sizes and designs. What even better.. its having a STORE WIDE 50% discount. My favourite was a huge Deep Brown leather bag. Simple in design but very chic i felt. The lady at the cart is really nice, showing me the different models she had, designs and usages, even modelling to me the bags. I loved them all, had so much choices i just couldn't decide. At last i decided on a dark green smaller version of the one i saw and till today i still couldn't forget the one that mesmerized me..

There were bags for every occasion mostly casual and rugged in look. If you like perhap a elegant chic look when fitted with tight riding pants and white shirt.... According to the lady, they only manufacture a few pieces and so go grab the ones you like soon before they run out of stock.... all thumbs n many toes up.....

I marked my 25th birthday resolution with a DARE for myself. I think that it is pretty memorable to be a quarter century old and for this. i am going to do something that i feel, takes alot of courage. I am going to take my class 2B licence, aka learn to ride a motorbike. I have never been on a bike before until when i was 22 and boy... it was really thrilling and so. i make it a point to enrol myself for this course.

Being a non-bike orientated person, everything seemed net to me and so, i started surfing the new and came across HKL Racing. I went down to their Shop and to my amazement, they have 3 outles in the same area. The shops displayed vast arrays of various models of bikes, peripherals, parts and accessories. I was so amazed..... but i try to keep myself in focus. I wanted to buy a nice helmet, and so i approached a busy looking technician whom kindly referred me to a friendly female staff, pretty young and bubbly i should say. They brought me up to their other showroom with all the peripherals. There all sorts of helmets, for scramblers, racing bikes, for choppers, for vespa scooters, full faced, half faced with all sorts of finishings like leather, patented material and etc etc etc. The prices were pretty reasonable and there are also special limited edition items.

There are specially designed n padded riding vest, gloves and suits for purchase also. Being a newbie i settled for a $50 helmet in white, nicely cushioned and detachable cushions for hygiene issues. I am now ready for my first lesson in riding. They even have a website for you to view their huge product range.

For the vast array and plentiful choices with reasonable prices, i give it 2 thumbs up... Can you lend me 2 thumb, that will be 4 thumbs...... Why i have only 2 thumbs???

Calling all Kueh Kueh Fans.... The best Kueh Kueh in town featuring famous MINI ANG KU KUEH and All other sorts of NoNya or non NoNya Kuehs....

Molly is my personal favourite place to appease my sweet tooth. It is truely a place when contemporary meets tradition snacks, bakery and desserts. The variety is just too huge to describe. Let me introduce you my all time favourites.

    No.1 AnG Ku KuEh.... (AKK)
When we eat AKK, the first thing we decide if its a good AKK, will be the skin. The skin should be nice, soft but not too oily with a little chewy taste and thin enough not to chew too long. The filling should be plentiful, not too sweet and of the right wetness. Molly's AKK has all these perfect features and thats makes it my NO.1 AKK. If normal size AKK is too much for you, you can choose the smaller bite size ones and they come in a variety of colours, each colour representing different flavours on the skin. Like Yellow is for a tinge of durian taste, purple for yam, greyish for sesame and red for orginal.

    No.2 Otah
The Otah they provide comes in spicy and non-spicy flavours. A non- chilli tolerant me will love to have the non-spicy one which is also good for kids. The flesh is so plentify and juicy. Ever had a juicy Otah, this is one. Such fresh fish meat fillings with a squart of sauce everytime you bite into it. It is really what we call by QQ you tan xing...

    No.3 IKan Billies with peanuts
They come in nicely airtight containers, NIcely seasoned ikan billies with nuts and fried till its crispy and savoury. I usually stock up a few containers of this to go with porridge or just eat it on its own.. Beware.. you can really get hooked on that. Goes best with a nice can of beer......

For the variety of savoury snacks and reasonable prices i give it all thumbs up and all toes up...... Up Up and Away........

That day i was walking aimlessly at Suntec city mall, trying to digest my lunch in my very full stomach. Some dazzling Sleek looking APPLE computers caught my eye. As i venture nearer to my new found interest i realised that i have stepped into a part of Suntec City Mall that i had never really been. It all kind of looked different then before so with a heartfull of curiosityi ventured into this new found maze. There was 2 shops that drove me entirely GAGA.... One is ME CUBE...

What really caught my eye was this normal looking notice board placed outside the shop stuck with plennty of papers with prices and simple description. At a closer look.... I almost fainted... 1GB thumbdrive with lifetime warranty going at $19 NET.. WOW.... Thats a good bargain. Upon entering the shop, was this very cute and friendly shop keeper. The goods they carry are mostly thumb drives, memory cards of all sorts, some other accessories and enelope rechargeablebatteries. Though not alot of items, but the prices are really compatible to SIM LIM SQUARE or perhaps even better. I bought a sleek looking thumbdrive that i'm sure i'll look chic when i use it with my girlfriends and their spying eyes, looking to critic every unfashionable moves. And some eneloop batteries which are a pretty good bargain. As i wanted very much to try this brand for my camera which by the way only consume lithium ion energizer. I have friends who used it and had really good reviews about it.

For a shop in the heart of town with such reasonable prices, i would give him two thumbs up plus two Fat Toes up.....

If you like delicious ribs or succulent generous slabs of steak, you should come try it out at the HOGS BREATH CAFE. This cafe is very much AUSSIE... When you step into this restaurant, immediate you can feel an overcoming AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE in the air. The whole saloon theme is very well blend with the menu. A slab of your hunting prize nicely grilled in wood fire topped with roughly cut sides is simply the best adventure you can get.

Nice timber sits for everybody, compliments of a wild feast adventure. May it be a date for two, a outing for a family of 6 or an after school gathering for 20. They have cosy furnitures to accomodate them all. Nicely spaced and warm friendly staff attentive to your every need.

Now lets talk about the food.. yes the food *drool......*
The portion is really good for an australian diet, but for me, a not very huge eater is a little too much. I ordered a El Grande Prime Rib all for myself. let me describe it a little. Its a Seared Prime Rib with Cheese sauce, tomato salsa and sliced jalapenos. Believe me, its a slab of prime 300g steak and it is very very juicy. Even though i ordered a medium well, I think they under cooked it a little, but its fresh and so sweet. I really don't mind the little undercook. The sides i chose was a baked potato and salad. Now if you are a side lover, then the appetizers will definitely suffice. But if you are a steak lover, then you may wanna add $8 for an extra 100g of premium cut steak. OOoooohhh.... That is wat i call HOGGING GOOD meal....

While i was enjoying my meal, i saw this challenge which i think is very interesting but definitely not for the weak hearted and the tiny stomachs like mine. Let me tell you more...

If you can finish a slice of 1KG of prime Steak in one meal, you get to eat it for free but if you can't you would have to pay. Boy.. 1 KG of steak is ALOT OF STEAK.... but if you are up to the challenge, you not only win a meal and perhaps some prizes, you so win REPUTATION... because only a small handful even dare to challenge this. For information, you can visit their website at www.hogsbreathcafe.com.sg

The atmosphere was nice, food is very good but i felt very bloated when i walked out of the restaurant. Its a little pricey, my meal for 2 cost about $80 with taxes. Which is about 32 plates of chicken rice. heehee! But its definitely worth a try. An wildlife adventure in the heart of Singapore. Really worth the experience. And boy.. they have a cute piggie mascot....

Totally agreed! The place has a very sleazy feel to it, with live canto pop music, "ah lians" trying to get you to buy drinks, and terrible pole dance performances.

During the only time that I was there, the male singer walked off during his singing simply because he was mad at a particular customer for a reason unknown to me. Absolutely unprofessional.

They are toys distributor and supplier to alot of departmental store.

My Dear and I went to their showroom yesterday to search for mini car models. Surprised to see alot of new designs of samba vans and Ferrari! There is one cool black matt finished Ferrari. Very rare, and it can be consider cheap if you are a collector of Ferrari car models. It's price at around SGD150. Moreover, they are having storewide 20% sale now!

The boss told us that their car models are directly import from factory and they do not reproduce once the stock are sold out. So its limited edition! Their prices are definitely cheaper than the departmental store coz they are the distributor!

Like what genesis said its crowded and works like a canteen or food court. This place you need to grab a seat first before you queue up to buy your food. Frankly speaking, its like National Service style of serving food.

But.... I like the chicken wings! I always go there for their chicken wings. Their chicken rendang special menu on saturday taste better at Alexandra than Tampines. It has more gravy. :)

My Dear always go for his usual - meatballs. It's a pity that I do not take beef.

Happened to get a chance to try out the Hydrating Facial at a low cost there. The place is kinda small but the ambience is good. Service is GOOD too! Ok, maybe becoz I paid for the service - the facial cost SGD130, but its service is higher than what I expected.

I was given a foot bath, with shoulder massage. Yesh... it's so comfy that I feel asleep. After the facial, my face is clean, and I felt refresh! They served me with an option of tea or warm water together with some delicious biscuits. If I got extra cash, I will definitely go back there!

    It's money worth service!

Been to the HQ in Shanghai. Been missing the taste of their famous Nanxiang Xiao long bao. So I thought of going to the local one at Bugis Junction to try it out.

I ordered the Xiao long bao, King size Crab roe bao, Glutinous rice xiu mai, Abalone and mushrooms la mien soup, while my Dear had Big braised pork la mien soup.

Xiao long bao - CANNOT MAKE IT. It only taste of ginger and nothing else. No sweetness of the pork. Maybe the ginger is used to cover the smell of the frozen pork.

King size Crab roe bao - its for people who likes the 'crabby' taste. I like, but my Dear hates it!

Glutinous rice xiu mai - its literally glutinous rice in wonton skin. No surprise. Hard to swallow though.

Abalone and mushrooms la mien soup - Soup base is clear and sweet. No strong taste. La mien is cooked just right. It really have 2/3 slices of abalone.

Big braised pork la mien - my Dear finds that its the best dish among the rest. The soups is clear and sweet with the light taste of braised sauce. The meat slightly tough.

The total cost for the dishes plus taxes is about $41. Not worth it. Especially the XIAO LONG BAO is a no-no. I saw other customers ordered the ala carte dishes. Maybe those are their speciality and not the Dim sum. Sigh....
