GLACE;D First time trying cakes from glace;D My cousin had bought the Strawberry Soufflé for celebration of our aunts and cousin birthday.(:
It tastes a little like the cheese cakes, with a layer of cheese-like cream in the middle. Even though I dislike having cheesecake, I love eating this cake despite of it tasting a little like cheese cakes;D
The moment I first saw this cake, I was ‘wow-ing’ at the amount of strawberries they have on top of the cake, it was really a lot. As seen in the picture, the strawberries have totally covered every part of the cake surface;D With so many of us being a strawberry lover…we love the strawberry Soufflé to the max!^^
Focusing on the taste itself, it was fresh and the cake layer within was soft and spongy.(: The cream was not that kind that will make us get tired of eating. If there are any left that night, I will surely ask for another slice. Too good to resist, will definitely return for it, maybe trying out other cake choices they have there.(:
Thai buffet!;D This is not our first time ordering from this caterer.(: The first time I get to taste it was on my nephew’s first month where my cousin ordered from here for part of the buffet.(:
Was pretty surprised when I saw the buffet, as I have never tried having thai catering buffet before.(: I am simply awed by almost all of their dishes, especially the mango salad and tom yam soup^^
The mango salad was marinated with lots of ingredients such that it gives a strong taste, and despite of that, the mango taste is retained within;D
As for the thai seafood tom yam soup, it was totally ‘thumbs up’ for it! Lost count how many bowls of it I actually had that evening:x Even all my relatives were singing praises for it. The flavour was really rich and it is sweet, sour and spicy all at the same time, but yet the flavour was so moderate and tasty. There are also a generous lot of seafood such as fish balls and prawns are added in the soup;D We totally emptied the whole pot of the soup and were still craving for more. The flavour even lingers in our mouth;D
And of cause, not forgetting to mention, all the other dishes were fantastic too.(:
And this time, we ordered from them again for celebrating two of my aunts and my cousin’s birthday together.(: Although we ordered a mini buffet with no set up, their service was excellent^^ The delivery man help us to set all the dishes on our home table, added the gravy etc. for us, and the attitude was remarkable;D
Korean!;D I used to dislike kimchi for it’s weird sour taste, but I love it now ;D I love how it tastes sour, sweet and spicy all at the same time, which I just felt it taste so unique.(:
Of cause, I could not stop myself when I saw this Korean stall. Ordered the kimchi fried rice. It was served with a sunny side-up, and the egg yolk was not completely cooked yet, giving me the chance to mix it together with the fried rice, which pleases me to have it that way.^^v
Initially I thought the serving of the rice was slightly too little, but it was quite satisfying after finishing it.(: The taste of kimchi was not very well flavoured with the fried rice, but the kimchi was marinated deliciously ;D It was nice, though I was wishing the rice could be less sticky.(: But on the whole, still liked it pretty much ;D
It was also served with side dish - a little serving of Korean marinated kimchi and ikan bilis. Price was a little on the high side, but to me, it is definitely worth it ;D
Cream puff!^^ I love the cream puffs Beard Papa sells!;D Although it is quite expensive at $2.40 each cream puff, I will definitely still buy it whenever I crave for it as it is simply too delicious.
The outer layer was crispy and the puff was amazingly soft the next layer, with the inside fully filled with vanilla cream.
If I do not start biting from the hole, the cream will ooze out from the hole >.< It is totally filled with the cream, no wonder it is called beard papa. Because it is so easy to get a beard out of the cream while munching into our cream puff xD
Really enjoyed the taste of the cream puff^^ softly rich with flavour…simply taste so heavenly. So willing to spend on this cream puff;D
Honey wheat grass drink:D Previously, I had tried before other herbal drinks from herbal shops, but have yet to try the honey wheat grass drink. It tasted natural, with quite a rich taste of the fresh wheat grass.(:
It was really refreshing and cooling to have it cold, where it immediately soothes my throat and quenched my thirst^^
I could taste that there was no artificial flavourings or preservatives used as it really taste like the natural wheat grass, fresh and sweet.(: the sweet taste comes naturally from the wheat grass and the honey added.
It was pretty worth the $2 for a real refreshing and healthy drink;D
