Recently I bought the tuna mini pancake for my late breakfast and I don't really like the taste of the tuna filling.
The tuna filling in it is the non-spicy tuna and perhaps that is why I could taste the overwhelming fish taste. Maybe it is not a good combination to have tuna with pancake?
It would have been better if they have the tuna to be flavoured spicy instead. However it is not that bad with the accompany of their pearly soya milk. The pearly soya milk is nice(:
Came across this new item, the caramel custard mini pancake at mr bean and decided to give it a try. It taste pretty nice and crispy on the outside, with the fully filled sweet caramel custard, it is just right for a little snack.
It is sold at $1.50 per piece and is really worth the price. There is a generous amount of caramel custard cream where I can taste from every bite I took, and the rich caramel custard is nice tasting & yummy, leaving me craving for more after one. Definitely worth the try!(:
It’s the second time my family and I dined at Tao’s restaurant. We really enjoyed the 6-course lunch set meal that cost $21.80 per person.
Highlighting on their starter, the bacon and mushroom gratin, it is really delicious! It’s like concentrated mushroom soup topped with bacon bits and covered with melted cheese at the top. We’ll then dip the toast into the gratin and it was really nice. The toast was crispy and aromatic;D Really felt that this dish was special...can hardly be found elsewhere^^
I had the fruit salad as the second dish. Didn't really like it as the top is filled with the crab meat which I don't like. but the fruits underneath is fresh and tasty;D
As for the soup, I had Shark-fin Melon Herbal Soup...delicious;D really love it! although the shark's fin wasn't a lot, it has a rich and thick flavour that is naturally sweet.
Here comes the main entry I ordered: the Grilled Sea Bass with Japanese sauce. It is yummy;D the fish is fresh and does not brings a over fishy taste. the sauce over it is not too salty too...really paired well with the fish^^
Finally desserts;D Mine was the Crème Brule. It has a layer of thin hard candy over the pudding and really satisfy the sweet tooth for desserts;D totally love it and craves for morexD
The beverages we personally liked is the 5 different iced fruit flavoured tea, especially the apple rose tea and tropical grapefruit tea. They were refreshing and with a sweet fresh fruit scent.
It’s really pleasant dining at Tao’s restaurant. (: We will continue to dine at Tao's cause the food is really yummy!;D
Great food and service @ Astons ! My family went to Astons to celebrate my uncle’s birthday and is very pleased with the food and service provided.
I ordered the chicken and sausage combo (Hickory BBQ chicken), where each comes with 2 complimentary side dishes and I ordered the salad pasta and fries for the side dishes. The amount was just right and both the chicken and sausage was just nicely grilled. I also liked the taste of the salad pasta and fries! Moreover, the ingredients used are fresh and served hot(:
Also, the ambience is satisfactory and the price is reasonable for western cuisine. All of us really enjoyed our experience there. :D
I was craving for some strawberry flavored cake hence I decided to try out Bakerzin’s strawberry short cake as my birthday cake.
Initially I am worried about the considerable amount of cream on the cake as me and my family does not really like cakes with lots of cream around it.
However when we first took a taste of the cake, we were surprised:D We actually liked it a lot and the sweetness level moderate, not too sweet and we could taste the freshness of the generous strawberry topping.
Glad to say we really enjoyed it and I have been ordering the same cake from Bakerzin again. (:
