This is my second dining experience at Astons;D My first experience was excellent, and that was what causes me to visit another outlet again.(:
I came with my group of friends with a total of 14 of us:x Was glad we did not have to wait long before we get seated, and the orders came in pretty fast too;D
We were given seats out doors and it was still quite cooling.(:
I ordered the grilled fish with herbs this time, with the French fries and pasta salad as the two sides. The fish was nice and juicy, tender and fresh!;D Although some parts of the fish may be a little bitter due to the grilling, the fish was still pretty delicious.(:
Being my first time ordering from this stall, I’m rather unfamiliar with the menu and took a little time before deciding on their oyakodon, the rice with chicken pieces and topped with egg around the whole rice surface;D
Every bite I took, it was accompanied with the egg and also the chicken. This goes to show the amount given was generous.(: nice!
The egg was nicely cooked and the flavour mixed well with the rice. The chicken was rich in flavour and delicious too, with crispy outer layer;D
Although the rice may be a little bland for some portions, overall the whole dish is tasty…yum yum^^
Combo;D The previous time Long John Silvers has a promotion with any purchase of the two sets of combo that worth $4.50, there will be a complimentary bonus pack worth $4.60 ;D
The 4 combo choices to choose from are mixtures of shrimps and chicken. And the bonus pack has the chips, two pieces of chicken wings, and two calamari rings.(:
I chose the combo A which is a combo of one piece chicken with two fried prawns. As always, the chicken is nice and crispy;D First time trying their prawn and they were pretty nice too, being crispy on the outer coating and the prawn meat in it is soft and fresh.(:
Not forgetting their fries! They were awesome! Crispy & flavourful, love it so so so much;D
Have ordered fish soup from this stall quite a number of times and those experiences are what causes me to return for more;D
Previously, I would normally order either the fish soup with rice or sliced fish bee hoon. This time I ordered only the fish soup without rice.
As always I really love the fish soup, especially the sliced fish as they are so smooth and nice to consume^^ ...and this time is no exception. However, I had some regrets of not getting the rice too, as the soup was slightly too salty without the white rice.
But despite of that, the fish soup is still awesomely fresh and delicious;D I will return for it!^^
Tom yum ban mian!;D It was my first time trying the ban mian here.(:
The wait was quite long, despite that there isn’t a really long queue. There was only one man tending the store, hence the long wait.
However, when I took the first bite, the long wait was worth the while after all ;D Even though the tom yum taste was not rich enough, the soup has the original rich flavours in it. The noodles are truly handmade and it is springy & chewy, and not too soft. It costs only $2.40 for each bowl!;D
Really love the ban mian from this stall.(: If only the tom yum flavour can be spicier and richer, but it is still delicious ^^
