Mixed rice The prices of the food sold in the koufu here is pretty expensive. So we chose this mixed rice stall which is slightly more affordable.
The food doesn’t really look appetizing though, and it is located at the corner hence there isn’t really much business. Ordered 1 veg and 1 meat and it costs $2.70.
The amount they gave is really little as compared to what we get elsewhere. There are only a few pieces of sweet and sour pork and a small serving of long beans. Glad that it is actually quite nice, even though the looks doesn’t look as nice.
The long beans are tasteful and fragrant. Not too salty and goes well with the white rice.
As for the sweet and sour pork, it has an acceptable standard and it is crispy and quite well flavoured.
Other than that the serving portion is quite little for the price, in terms of taste, the mixed rice from this stall is actually pretty good.(:
Ham and Cheese ~ ;D Bought four of the ham and cheese tako yaki at $3 ;D The tako yaki is crispy outside, and it is soft inside.
The ham and cheese filling isn’t a lot though, there isn’t much of a cheese taste and the ham is only a few small pieces.
Although it is crispy outside, it isn’t very fresh as it is left for quite some time and is reheated before they serve. The crispy is different from those that are made on the spot and really fresh and crispy.
The tako yaki also turned cold quickly not long after I bought it. It saves a lot of waiting time but would prefer it to be freshly made on the spot so it will taste better.
Nonetheless, I still loved the tako yaki coupled with teriyaki sauce and fish flakes :D
Dinner at IKEA ;D As usual, ikea on a Saturday night was crowded and it took us a while to get seats during dinner time.
We decided to get a plate of mee siam each, chicken wings and a butterscotch chocolate cake.
The mee siam costs only $1.90! but we only managed to get two plates and it’s out of stock due to high demand:/ Although it is quite a small plate, but it’s just right for one person, with some sides like chicken wings.
The mee siam is not too spicy and the tou pok is quite a lot. I like the gravy!;D But it’s a little salty though :x Considered super worth it comparing with the price of other items.
The chicken wings is as always, crispy and fragrant on the outer and the meat is tender and tasteful^^ It is not too dry and there’s still some juice within :D
For the cake, we actually wanted to get the chocolate cake but I think we got the wrong one and got the butterscotch chocolate cake instead. But we’re glad we got the wrong one because we simply love the cake!;D
There’s a few layer of taste and texture…a combination of the soft chocolate cake and the crispy layer, which seems like biscuit bits kind of layer.
A little sticky and it is sweet but not the kind that we will get sick of it after a few mouthful. Chocolate coupled with the butterscotch, I just really love it to the max ;D
On the summary, we got a cake, 6 chicken wings and two plates of mee siam, shared between the 3 of us. The whole meal that made us fairly full merely costs the each of us around $4 …pretty worth it right? ;D
Ajisen Went in at around 5.30pm so there weren’t any queue ;D The staff is friendly and service was prompt. As usual, we ordered the ramen set where the price includes 1 ramen 1 Ala-Carte 1 drink. I ordered the Pork Kimuchi Ramen with white fish ala-carte.
The Pork Kimuchi Ramen is actually kimchi ramen. The kimchi has it’s spiciness but the soup base is not spicy, hence the ramen is not really spicy.
Love their rich and thick soup with the chewy texture ramen ;D The ramen portion is as always, considered a lot to me as I would get really full after finishing the whole bowl of ramen.
The kimchi taste isn’t too strong though, I would prefer it to be more tasteful. The pork slices are thin and delicious.
The white fish outer is crispy and the fish within is fresh and juicy. Coupled with the mayonnaise and sweet & sour sauce served, it brings the dish to a new level of taste that makes it appetizing ^^
As always, we enjoyed dining at ajisen. Delicious food and great service.(: If I were to pick any unsatisfactory, it will be that I would always be so full after dining there :D

It was on the promotion of $1 for all bread available, from 5-11pm
Had tried their bread before and it was all right.
But the bread that day had an obvious drop in their normal standard.
The sausage bun I ate was hard and the sausage sandwiched within the bread was also hard and dry.
It is quite obvious that the bun is over baked.):
Initially I thought only mine was like that, but I heard from my sister that the rest were the same too, all are hard and dry.
Even though it's quite cheap for $1, I doubt I will purchase bread from this shop again if there are alternatives.):
