Went there for lunch with my colleagues today. I had been to other outlets but some of my colleagues had not step in Pepper lunch before, therefore they are very interested to see how the whole thing works. Haa....

While waiting at the entrance, there is a big menu to choose from, all the different combos they have and at the same time there is a TV screening they way that you should "do" to your food when they arrive to ur table. Hee.... We were given our table number and order at the cashier while the waiter put the table number on our table.

    So we ordered:
Combo Chicken and Steak with egg (Mine)
Combo Chicken and Lamd with egg
    Chicken Pepper Rice with cheese
    Curry Beef Pepper Rice

Mine came 1st so I can show what they can do with their food. All of them are quite excited of what they can do with their food. Haa.... Soon all of them arrived and they managed to cook their food before the heat dies off. Haa....

Adding the egg is quite interested as you can determine how you wanna ur egg to be like. Mine ended up scrambled egg. I like to add the Honey Brown sauce to my meat and the Garlic Soy sauce to my veges. Haa... The chicken is tender and juicy even though some of it are stuck to the hot plate, while the beef I managed to cook it to medium rare, which is also good.

One of my colleagues who had the lamb say that there is no "yang siao wei". The meat is very tender as well. Quite surprising as it seems that they did not do anything to the lamb at all. Haa....

Overall, my colleagues like the idea and their food. In fact they say they will come back to try some other dishes next time.

The service there is quite fast and good. From the cashier to the waitress who served us our food are prompt and polite.

One thing, I dun like is after the meal, tend to smell like the food. Haa... Well there is nothing they can do about this as well.

Total bill came up ot be $50, whihc is considered decent. Seem like we will be back to try other of their dishes sooner than expected.

This coffee club is one of the places I always loved to hang out @ Orchard Road. The whole place is open air concept so no air con. There is smoking area and non smoking area. It is also a bit nosiy as you can heard the cars going by and the noise from the birds etc.

There are a lot of mist fans in the place so dun worry about feeling hot in a place without air con. In fact, it is a good place to go in a lazy afternoon to read. Haa....

Went there after a movie at Cathay Orchard for a simple snack. Not really feeling in a mood for dinner.

We ordered Chicken Pie, Spicy Chicken Wings, Ice Tea and Strawberry Smoothie. Lastly Apple crumble for dessert.

Their chicken pie is good. It came with hot fillings and the pie is crispy. When eaten together, it is a good mix.

This is the first time I tried their spicy wings. The wings came in a pyrimid shape, stack on one another. Fried, crispy and not oily coated with a layer of their spicy sauce. This is good!

For their drinks, icea tea ok, but the strawberry smoothie tasted like cough mixture. Of cos my fav drink there is still morning dew tea. I also ordered a pot of mornng dew to pamper myself as well. One of my happy food.

Their apple crumble comes with huge chunks of apple, with a layer of crust and topped with a big scoop of ice cream. It is how I like my apple crumble to be. Hot with a cold mixture! Great!

Of cos their mudpie is also famous. Should give it a try. Personally I prefer the "other place" mudpie. Hee.....

The service is prompt and polite. We were seated when we reached the door. I dun like the original seat and requested another seat, the waitress immdefiatly jz bring me to the seat I requested for. No questions asked.

After ordering the food also came pretty fast. Except when they are processing my bill, it took some time, but it is fine with me. Haa...

Overall, I like the atmosphere of the place. It is like a calm spot in the middle of Orchard Road. My peace heaven.

This is one of the place that I will think of when I need a quick fix for some "Hong Kong" food.

The usual stuff for me will be the Ice Milk Tea, Puo Luo ban and some of their dim xin, toast and of cos the Mango Ice.

On average their food is quite good and usually came quite promptly. I loved their ice milk tea, they did it in a way I loved it, milkly with a scent of tea.

Their Puo luo bao is crispy with a thick slice of butter in it. Nice.

Their toast is think and nice. I like the normal one with honey and butter. Sinful but good. Haa....

Mango Ice Mountain, something like ice kachang but everything with mango, topped with a scoop of mango ice cream. Loved it as well. They use real mango chucks for it.

I have not tried for their baked rice and "instant noodles" but fromt he pics the crab porridge really looks good. Maybe shall give it a try soon.

Their service is good and prompt.

Their seating though, sometimes a bit squeezed. Especially for table of two, you can hear what the other table are toking about as well. Haa... Of cos they got couch seats whihc are pretty good for big groups as well.

All in all, it might not the be the best of all, but then like what I started, it is a good place for quick fix of Hong Kong food.

This is the place where I will go and swim, rock climb, bowling and many other things.

It is within walking distance from Yishun Mrt as well.

The place is sort of like a country club where there are a lot of things to do. Most often I will go and swim in their pool. They have a wading pool, an olympic size pool and a relaxing pool with jacuzzi in it. The main thing is the pool is not really that crowded during weekend. After swimming my laps, I always like to go and chill out in the relaxing pool. Haa.... I have to say that it is also a great place to sun tan as well. Their shower also come with hot and cold water. Haa.....

The place also have a adventure area where there is rock climbing, bloundering etc.

Of cos still got bowling, jackpot room, billard, etc.

Of cos they also have food where there is a different version of jack place (I think it is halal), and a chinese restaurant where they sure pretty decent food. That is for another review.

There is also a spa in it, and I m intending to try it soon.

To me, I can spend an whole afternoon there relaxing. It is a great place.

Had walk past this place a lot of times and finally walked into it for dinner last sunday. A few changes from the old one.

Once I walked into it, I jz have this feeling of warm and cosy. The uniform on the waiters and waiteress also looked very good. One main change, instead of the normal paper card they passed to customer in the past, now they use a plastic card and it works like a ez link card, wireless contact.

The place is quite small but they managed to seat a lot of people as well. The only bad thing is the toilet is outside the restaurant, so whenevr wanna to go to toilet can either pay ur card bill then go to toilet then come in with a new card or can leave ur identification and card at the door, then come back and contiune.

Now come the food, I have to say that in general the food is better than last time. They still have stalls offering differernt food. I think due to the fact that it is now not under frachise, but the main Marche HQ took over the management. So what food I have.....

    1. Rosti. My fav. It is thick and crispy. It is a prefect match with sour cream. You can add smoked salmon or susages or stired fried mushroom, which I did.

    2. Vegetables. In the past, used to be you can pile all the vege you wanna then they will cook it in front of you. Now different, buffet style. They cooked the food and put it in a big wok. So you can choose to have a small, middle or big plate, then you can pile as much as you want. There is 4 types of vege to choose from and all hot and tasty. I had mushroom and the german sour vege (Hee... Forgot the actual name alr)

    3. Pork Knuckle. It is huge, crispy and juicy. I loved it as well. You jz have to eat it. At the same stall, they also got roasted chicken as well, Kenny Roger style.

    4. Drinks. They sell a variety of drinks, juices, beer and acholic drinks. We got root beer and I got myself a apple cider which is good. Hee.....

    5. Desserts. They got cakes, pudding, crepes and lots and lots of bread to choose from. In the end, we are attracted by the strawberry cake and starwberry cheesecake. Both were good, especially the strawberry cake with so many strawberry on top. It is also very cheap selling @ $4.80 per piece.

The service there is good and tentive. They also cleared the plates very fast as well.

I think I will go back very soon to taste the rest of the food that I did not tasted. The price is cheap as well, only about $25 per person.

This jap restaurant hides in the building in AMK Central (in front of the market). In fact, it is so well hidden that everyone would jz walked past it. Reason being, it is inside the building and the rest of the building looks empty.

Once there, same as other jap places, all the waiters and waitress would shout their greetings in the air.

The deco of the place is ok same as other sushi places but they played those 90s english songs. Haa....

The service there was quite prompt as there are more servers than those waiting to be served.

The main highlight of this place is all sushi at selling at 99 cents per plate. Cheap leh. Haa.... That is the main reason y we are there in the first place.

So sushi on plain colored plates are 99 cents and the rest ate fro $2.99 onwards. The sushi variety is quite a lot, however find that the rice they use are not that good and they tend to break into half when picked up. For the fired stuff like fired tofu and dumplings, they came hot which means they are made when ordered. Good.

For the raw stuff like salmon slices etc, according to my colleagues, they are fresh and good. Ended up calling a lot. Haa...

I also tried their teryaki chicken bento. It came hot adn I can see the chef preparing it as well. Haa... But then it fall short of my expectation. The chicken is rather tasteless on its own, the omelette is ok. Well jz say it is not one of the best I tasted.

So overall, the place is for a quick fix for sushi and it is cheap as well.

Health and wholesome goodness comes naturally at Eden...

Was welcomed by the homely and comfortable cafe with smile and greetings from Clement and his staff. Situated up a little slope of Club Street, Eden Cafe is a place where one would love to enter for a smoothing and chilled glass of wine tea to beat those heat from the blazing sun. The cafe feels so homely, I can stay there for an entire day. Great for those who love a quiet place to chill and relax, away from the bustling madness happening just nearby, with some good tea or wine.

As a seafood lover, especially for calamari, I just had to try their Mussel Calamari Dunker ($12.90) served with crispy wholegrain bread. Although the base seems thick, and together with the wholegrain bread seem like a filling meal. But it was just the right amount of everything that filled my tummy but still left room for more. The calamaris and mussels were so fresh, I could taste their original taste even with the specially created base which was made up of seven different vegetables. Including celery, which I hate! But it was so well blended that I licked the bowl clean. (Ok I didn't literally licked the bowl.)

With room for more, I tried their homemade Rosepetal Brownie ($5.90). Yap! There's real rosepetals in the brownie and also on it! My very first attempt at consuming flowers and it was quite an interesting taste. The rosepetals blended well with the sweetness from the chocolate brownie and vanilla ice-cream. The rose petal reduces the sweetness with its light bitterness. And as the brownies has no additional sugar added, you won't get "sick" of eating it, although the piece was quite huge. Surely going to order this again when I'm back (i.e. after I tried the other sinful goodness at Eden).

The next must try is Eden's fusion tea ($9.00). There's so many choices to choose from. When you can't decide, just tell Clement how you feel that day and let him decide for you! Served in specially designed tea sets, you can see the beautiful colors of the floral tea and the nice golden color of the tea. The teacups are cleverly crafted, with the double layer design, you can hold the teacup without feeling the heat from the tea.

With yummy and healthy food, great atmosphere and friendly service, its no doubt that I'm going to recommend all my friends and family to Eden Cafe.

If you can't decide what to eat, just let Clement decide for you.

Have to compliment this guy's friendly and welcoming service. Although I guess he did scare/ gave fright to some of the ladies shopping at Watsons.

Not sure if he's one of the managers but he was wearing a jacket and was well groomed. He went around with basket for shoppers and very politely offered the basket for the shoppers. But I did notice he kinda frightened couple of the ladies who were paying too much attention to the labels on the packaging.

Still a pleasant shock I guess.

My partner commented that they're probably training up for the upcoming F1 race or IR since Singapore is all about providing excellence services for everyone. Hope the service standards will keep improving in Singapore.

Wetnt here to repair my friend's notebook. it was my first visit there and to say that the place is quite easy to find.

The service was fast. I think most of the coutner girls they employ are overseas so they spoke with an accent. They dun have much people interaction skills and sounded pretty machnical to me when talking.

I waited for 15 mins and when it was my turn, 5 mins I am done.

So now still waiting for them to get back to me on the status of the laptop and hope that I can get it back soon.

My sister yesterday brought back 6 donuts from donut factory. The queue at both outlets alwasy puts me off so I dun even bother to queue for it. After all, I have tasted Krispy Kreme and thinks that nothing can beats that.

Since she did not buy my fav which is apple cinemmon, I ate a blue berry one instead. Well it turn out to be good compared to others that I have eaten in Singapore less Krispy kreme of course. I put it in the toaster for a few mins to warm it up. It turned out to be soft and fluffy the way I like it, the topping , like, others, found it too be a little too sweet.

My mum ate the one with almond flakes and she became a fan of it. Asking me to buy more of it the next time round.

    Update (2 Nov 07):

I decided to queue for donuts for my very first time last thursday @ Suntec City. Guess what? There is no queue and I managed to get my donuts in 5 mins flat. Haa... I bought 2 dozens in record time I think. Haa.....

Well I still stand by Krispy Kreme still remians 1st in my heart while Donut Factory is a near second. Still I dun think queueing a few hours for the donuts is worth it!
