My dad works at Hougang Mall (I won't tell you the shop) so I accompanied him there during dinner time to shop and so we ate at his all time favorite Pepper Lunch stall at the basement.
It was a Friday evening so there was quite a queue. Dad had a Unagi Pepper Rice and I took Salmon Pepper Rice. We both got meals for the set, chose salad and for drinks Dad had cola and I had Peach and Mango tea.
Food came after 15 minutes. I could understand as the restaurant was terribly crowded and I could see that the other customers' orders weren't on their table yet.
The salad was good, cold chicken pieces are my favorite. Thousand Island dressing was a great dressing for this salad. Dad's meal came first. I'm not a fan of unagi, so I didn't bother to try his.
When my food came, I added like half the bottle of the 'honey brown sauce'. I LOVE it so much!!!!! Sometimes when dad packs home pepper lunch, he will get 3 extra containers of honey brown sauce for me. Okay, so I pour in the sauce, some garlic soy sauce, a pinch of salt, a shake of pepper, and then MIX MIX MIX MIX till the food is done. Dad isn't as patient and me, so he just pours in the honey brown sauce and mixes for like 6 seconds and then eats the food.
Food was GR8!!! I wanna go back there again so badly.... =D
Went to Marina Square to shop, ate at Pasta De Waraku for 'linner'. That's just how me and Dad say 'lunch and dinner', ya know at around 4pm.
Seated immediately once the waitress saw us. She was really nice, and could answer all of Dad's the nutrition of the food here
. I ordered Oyster Carbonara, Dad had a Meatball with Tomato Sauce(?) pasta. Also had some Corn soup for both to share.
The complimentary salads came first. It had a vinegar-ish sauce with lettuce and tomatoes. Ok-ok for me. Soup came after, and that was the best dish out of our meal. Creamy and had lots of corn bits. I actually have a craving for it right now XD. Dad's pasta came. As a spicy lover, he put in lots of Tabasco sauce after I tried it. It was okay I guess, but I couldn't recall the taste as I really couldn't stand Dad's Tabasco attack afterwards.
My creamy pasta was good, but the oyster ain't fresh. So I gave it to Dad. He apparently LOVED it. Kudos to the rotten oyster lover -.-. Dad has a strong immune system, so he's ok. Pasta was great, but the last time I tried it, it was like 5 times better. Food taste has seemed to go down.
Might not go back, but I think I'll try their other outlets instead. =)
So, the other day me and my mom went to Bugis to do some shopping and happened to pass by this restaurant. It was lunch time so we decided to eat here.
Not much people there, so we got seated right away. The waitress wasn't very nice, and she was the reason why I only gave a 4 star rating. She just THREW the menus on the table! And after we were done ordering, she only gave us ONE side plate and no utensils! Only when the other waitress (or probably the manager) came when I asked for more utensils, she offered us water. Si bei rude seyh!
Okay, the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered a Crispy Salmon Maki, Asparagus(?) and Corn Carbonara Pasta and Curry set (w/ rice and tempura). The maki came first, accompanied with soy sauce. Like its name, it has raw salmon and some crispy thingy in the maki. Then my pasta was really really good! As if it came from some 5 star restaurant in a hotel! :D Mom's curry was also great, but she had already finished all the rice and tempura after 5mins. I just took some curry. I begged her to get some of that Fried Shiitake Mushrooms cuz I was still kinda hungry but like any 'typical Singaporean auntie', she said 'SAVE MONEY LAH! YOU WAN GET FAT LIKE UNCLE BERNARD IZZIT (my short uncle who weighs like 100kg)?!
Would definitely go back again, if that freaking waitress gets fired.
Soz, no pictures. Forgot to bring my phone and mom wouldn't let me use hers.
