Ramen! My favourite noodles! And so great to have it Halal certified! So everyone can enjoy their yummy and spicy ramen!
My favourite must be their ultra spicy ramen soup base! Always makes me sweat and my nose blocked when I drink it. But its just super shiok! And when I'm hungry, I'll make it a big bowl (extra ramen) in my order.
And his favourite is the dry ramen. For those who don't like soupy noodles, their dry ramen is very nice too! Give their Tom Yam Dry Ramen a try. You'll sure want to go back for more!
Ramen Ten is also available at Jubilee AMK, and I'm sure few more places... look out for their red interior and big green signboard spelt out Ramen Ten!
Give it a try! And share what you like/ don't like about Ramen Ten!

I was there last Saturday with my girlfriends. I've been wanting to check out any one of the boardgames cafe in Singapore for the longest time! But never had the chance till last Saturday. And now, I think I'm hooked!! Thanks to my friend!
Pitstop Cafe is a homely and friendly boardgame cafe. Located on the 3rd level of 14B Circular Road (within clark quay), players first challenge was to climb that scary looking stairs leading up to the cafe. (I'm afraid of stairs you see... actually its not that scary lah!)
You'll be welcomed by this unique looking door that most people will find it rather familiar (aka the push and pull toilet door) and upon entering, you'll see the entire wall filled with photos and graffiti! Great place for those who loves doodling on walls and photos! (Please keep to you own little space on the wall and photos only.)
Free-flow of sky juice (aka plain water) in cute little pitchers. And I love love the cheese balls! But only got 8 pieces, which were shared among the 5 of us... next time I go (which is on Saturday!) I'll sure buy a whole plate for my own consumption! Wahahaha!!
People at Pitstop Cafe are very friendly, fun and helpful. Need help with the games, just raise your hands and they'll come to you! (But pls understand that there's only couple of them and so many guests, so give them a little time to attend to you ya.)
This is a great place to hangout with your friends and family! I'm definetly going to visit them very often for lots of fun and games and food!
A little bit of everything.
That's what I'd use to describe this place. They have a little bit of many different styles of food.
From outside, this place looks like a Western dining place. Something like.. Breeks!. But when you take a look at the menu, they have different types of dishes. Very much like a fusion of Italian, Indonesian, Western etc.
I really like their Calamari rings. It is served with a Thai sauce that is sweet and a little spicy, and has a fragrance that comes from, I think, lemongrass. And better still, it cost only $3.90! I thought that was a really good price!
But other than that, I thought that the other things that I tried, such as the Belado Chicken and the Chilli Crab pizza, were not that great. You could make the pizza yourself and the Belado Chicken seemed like a $10 Nasi Lemak..
Being a calamari-fan, I would definitely be extremely biased if I said that this place was good and definitely worth going..
Ding Tai Fung here has a long queue during lunch and dinner times. It seems like the food there is really good, plus all the things that you've heard about Ding Tai Fung, you'd be tempted to go and try the food. Likewise, I was tempted too.
I've been to Ding Tai Fung quite a few times already. I feel that this place is more of a place to go during tea time than for a proper meal, although they do have things like fried rice or noodles. But I would strongly recommend their buns instead, such as the sesame paste and red bean buns. I've not tried their crystal bun, but from what I see, the crystal bun there seems to be better than other place's as it is not too thick but yet it is able to contain the fillings in it well. Of course I won't talk about how it tastes, but from what I see, it is important that crystal buns should have a strong layer of skin so that it does not break easily.
I feel that their Fried Rice is nothing special. In addition, it is really oily (along with quite a few other dishes like their vegetables). Having fried rice anywhere else could be the same..
Apart from the buns, I don't think there's anything special about the place.
I used to think that along East Coast Road near Katong Mall has only restaurants or some other shops that people won't go to unless they have a reason. While waiting for a friend, I was just walking around and saw this shop.
It's a little shop that displays many little accessories such as bracelets, necklaces and earrings. The materials they use consist of sterling silver, semi-precious stones, crystal beads as well as fused art glass (or something like that).
There's a wide variety of choice, with almost every item coming in different colours. Take your time walking, I'm sure anyone would definitely find something to your liking. Furthermore, the things there are of reasonable price! That's what I was quite surprised but really glad about. I would have thought that they'd sell those dangling earrings at an exorbitant price of average $20, but it was around $15. If you look at their designs, it's actually quite a reasonable price.
It's a great place to go gift-shopping for your girlfriends too!
Also, if you're interested in learning how to do your own jewellery or making fused art glass, they actually have lessons conducted there too! Materials all provided. Or if you're looking for materials to make your own accessories, they have it there too!
Mybeadpoint is a online store selling DIY jewellery making supplies.
Tabitha the owner of this shop used to sell her stuff on Yahoo Auctions but moved to this website some time back.
She has quite an array of stuff but not comparable to the shops in Chinatown of cause. But what she can provide is personalised service. She would email you with information that you need like whether her product is suitable for a certain project etc. And she has Beads Sales at her home. Just register at her website and she will email you updates of some sales where you can go to her condo in Simei to view and buy the items at discounts. She even has books for you to view and you have copies of the pages you like.
The best service she provides would be that if you have a design which you don't know how to do, just let her have it and she'll figure it out then teach you! That's one service you will not get at the stores outside.
The only drawback is that she sells in smaller quantities and so it might be a little pricier than if you buy wholesale. Also the website is a little laggy at times.
Din Tai Fung at Tampines Mall had the initial long queues... They still have them but Saturday dinnertimes only.
I've been here twice but I seriously don't know why I went the second time after the first experience.
After hearing so much about this place from my colleagues, my friends and I head down to the place. It was a weekday afternoon so it was quite empty. We had some fried rice, the widely acclaimed crystal buns and the crystal buns with crabmeat.
The fried rice was a little oily but tasted normal. The crystal buns are alright too, but a tad too flimsy so we couldn't drink that much soup cos it spilled. The highlight was the crabmeat ones. There were 10 and I ate 2.... both had crab shells. Well if you want to think positively, they are pretty fresh in that sense... but seriously when you only eat 2 out of 10 and both have your teeth crunching down on the shells? BLAH. And the waitress didn't do anything when we told her about it.
The second time I went it was with my family. We ordered some crystal buns and some noodles and rice. All went fine. One crystal bun was already broken when it arrived but they changed it immediately. So that was ok.
They don't have much variety. And the crystal buns are the only exceptional items. If the crab shell incident didn't happen I'll probably give it 4 stars.
Parking can be a headache at Tampines Mall though.
If you like Crystal Jade's 小笼包, I'm sure you'll like 鼎泰豐's too. Feels like heaven as the soup seeps out from within with every bite!
I tried their noodles too, which is really nice. 色 - The noodles looks really appetizing and they come nicely arranged. 香 - Smells great when the bowl was served! 味 - And the taste is of course nothing but great. The noodles are smooth and the soup just perfect.
You HAVE to drop by this branch to try out their 小笼包!
Newly set-up place for Yogurt goers. They have quite a wide variety of flavors to choose from.
Tried the mango flavor yogurt last week. It was nice. But not fantastic.
Lots more room for improvement for them I have to say.
They also have another outlet at Downtown East (opposit Pizza Hut). Give it a try and let us know what you think.
Personally, I would probably give it a miss the next time.
