Awfully Chocolate's signature chocolate cake - a simple, moist dark chocolate cake between layers of dark chocolate fudge. The classic series comes in 3 flavours - original, chocolate banana, rum and cherries.
In our opinion, the best of Awfully Chocolate's classic series has got to be the Rum and Cherries. Moist and dense but not overwhelmingly sweet and rich. The rum taste was faint compared to other alcohol-based cakes like Rum Baba, Tiramisu etc, but it was still detectable compared to the monotonous pure chocolate cake. The addition of cherries provided an extra burst of refreshness.
Awfully Chocolate has been around for many years. Yet with the emergence of many chocolate cake shops, it still stands as one of the more popular brands for chocolate cakes.
Priced at $29.60 for a 6 inch cake, we could easily polish off 1 entire cake on our own.
