This place serves the best grilled MILK FISH or Bandeng Tanpa Duri i've ever eaten. The fish is grilled to perfection with an extremely crispy skin, matter of fact you could just chew the fins off and the flesh is moist and soft that melts in your mouth. I love milk fish, it does not have that fishy taste and is as smooth as milk. Milk fish though yummy is not liked by many because it has alot of tiny bones all over its body that made it such a hassle to eat, however the milk fish here is boneless. The shop actually employed their staffs to pick on the bones so that customers can have ease in eating this wonderful tasting fish.
Though the shop is small and tables placed extremely close to one another, the customers and staffs are very accommodating to try to house each other. No angry faces were seen when somebody's butt accidentally rubbed on somebody's shoulder trying to get out of that tight space and everybody seemed to be considerate not to take up more space then required. I was impressed with this kind and courteous behavior, it is to be applauded.
Service is prompt but casual and usually there is a huge queue outside. So as you enter, you make your order and payment at the counter and ask her to help find you a seat. After which get seated and wait for your food. You could also get a bag of yummy koropoks (crackers) from the counter and munch away. They have a service counter in which you could find some sauces and soup. Soup is self service and free flow, so please help yourself. It is tasty and goes extremely well with the food and rice.
I will suggest you to bring my tissues because their sauces especially the chilli padi ones are FIERY HOT... The one that is black KACAP based one looked innocent yet one dip sent me running for a drink. The KACAP Black sauce goes extremely well with anything. I think its a mixture of sweet sauce and black soya sauce with lime and loads of chilli padi. It goes well with all the food including the koropok, i love it but it sends me flying.
So these are the food I ordered and simply love it because its well done, delicious and fulfilling.
1)Grilled Boneless Milkfish with rice ($10) - milkfish crispy and love the veg condiments and tampe that comes with the set. 2) Grilled CatFish with rice ($7) - Catfish is properly done however Catfish always has a muddy taste so this one also though its fleshy and has a flavorful skin. 3) Chicken Satay ($7.50) - chicken is tender and flavorful, No wow factor just better then average 4) Gado Gado ($6) - which is a mixed vegetable, beancurd, koropok and tempe with peanut sauce. No wow factor, just above average. 5)Avocado ($4.30) - Avocado is always yummy. its a regular cup of drink / shake.
Food: 4.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Location: 3.5/5 Price: 3/5 ( I think its a little on the high side) Worth Factor: 3.5/5 (its pretty worth it on certain dishes)
Will I come again : Yes (somehow i can't have enough of their food) Will I bring my friends : Just some close ones in a small group

Boldly claimed to be the Most Authentic Indonesian Grilled Chicken you can find in Singapore, Ayam Bakar in the Malay language simply means “Grilled Chicken”, while Ojolali when translated from Javanese to English means “Do Not Forget”.
In short, once u tried their chicken, it will leave you with an unforgettable experience – and dare I audaciously say a reverberating YES! In fact it was so good that I was kinda reluctant and hesitant to share this place with you guys, as the place is already so crowded with customers every time I frequent there. For starter, we tried the Pempek, or the Traditional Palembang Fried Fish Cake.
Unlike the normal fish cake that we, Chinese, are familiar with – salty and full of bite, their version was slightly bland and funnily chewy. This was the only dish so far that I have tried in the restaurant that failed to win me over. Of course, when the main arrived it was a totally different story. Original Chef Specialty, the Ayam Bakar was succulent and deeply enriched by the special spices.
Accompanied by the Sambal Ulek (Oelek) and Sambal Kecap, or Dark Sauce with Chili Padi and Onions, the combination is simply godsend. Paired it up with my favourite sugar-high Happy Soda, a Rose Syruped Drink Downed with Excess Condense Milk. It is so sweet that you are literally happy, or high with sugar rush.
Other recommendations to go for are their Ikan Bawal Bakar or Grilled Pomfret, their Rawon, or the Indonesian Beef Stew, and their Sup Buntut, or the Oxtail Soup. Sedup!!!
