I am a fan of tom yum soup. I had a recommendation from a friend to try tom yum soup at this restaurant.

It is one of the best Tom Yum soups that I have tasted in Singapore. It had the raw spicy and sour taste. Their serving portion was also big , thus we were able to satisfy our hunger. The food is also affordable , Each of us paid an average of $15 and we ordered about 5 dishes. The other notable dishes include the chilli kangkong, chilli prawn , fried chicken and their awesome complementary crackers.

Chilli KangKong: The Kangkong was not hard and it was spicy and tasty enough for my liking.

Chilli Prawn: The prawn tasted decent however not recommended for those who like their prawns peeled.

Fried Chicken: Their special seasoning makes sure I finished my chicken before my friends did :)

Complementary crackers The crackers really kept our hunger at bay. Due to the long waiting time for food, we kept eating the cracker (which tasted really good by the way). We even ordered another platter.

The only downside was the poor service ( lack of manpower ) and waiting time for food.

Been reading up on the reviews under other venues, and I am surprised that most of them were not positive. Though I have to agree that the service was not good, I have to say that it has the typical service of restaurants nowadays. Not prompt, not initiative, not polite. The drinks came after the food arrived as well.

However, disregarding the bad impression created by the service, the food was excellent. The portions of the food were big as well, considering the paltry amounts some other restaurants gave.

The Tom Yum soup was great. As were the Thai Milk Tea and Thai Green Curry. My friends and I had an excellent meal. It is also one of the rare restaurants that provides both Halal and vegetarian menu. Thus, it is rather surprising that the restaurant was almost always empty as compared to its neighbouring restaurants.

I recommend this restaurant for those who values the food served more than the service provided

I have this sudden craving for tapioca, a very strong craving thats it. So, when i saw this Bali Thai with a takeaway counter, i jumped up with joy literally. For i know, they will definitly carry their popular dessert -- steamed tapioca.

True enough, beside boxes of steamed tapioca, they also carry varieties of kuehs (mostly with coconut as part of the ingredients) as well as their another popular item -- mango sticky rice.

Priced at 2 dollars for a box of tapioca, you can get rather decent pieces of steamed tapioca. I liked the texture of their tapioca, its neither too hard nor too soft. It also has a chewy texture that will allows me to do some mouth exercise. :P

However, i find that the coconut dressing seems abit too diluted. You will not find those creamy coconut dressing there, instead its those watery coconut 'water' which hardly has coconut taste in it. Well, perhaps im so used to coconut cream in thai dessert so when i saw this coconut 'water', i find that it just could not tasted as good.

Overall, i find that their tapioca tasted rather average. If they can improve their coconut 'water', this dessert would definitely tasted much more better. Ohh, another improvement that they can make, may be the temperature of the tapioca.

By combining hot steaming pieces of tapioca with the cold coconut dressing, this steamed tapioca dessert will be the most wonderful thai dessert. Super Yummy!
