Was in marina area pretty early in the morning looking for some nice food. However, most eatery will not open till late morning, thus we decided to settle for this dim sum shop -- bao jin tian.

When i actually see their signboard 'bao jin tian', the first thing that came to my mind is justice bao? (as their pronunication is rather similar). Funny right? Well, in actual fact they had really themed their shop based on justice bao legend.

Their shop setting is based on the looks of a chinese tea house. So, wooden tables and chairs has become a trade mark in this shop. However, no free tea is served. (you have to pay for the pot of tea)

Arrangement of the seats are pretty cramp. When i got a seat inside the shop, i almost regret it immediately as theres bascially no space for you to get into the seats. A word of advice: please get those seats along the walkway, they have better leg room space and you won't feel like sardines!

The uniqness of this shop is that they offer rather interesting baos. These interesting baos are actually named upon famous characters in the justice bao legend. One of them is Ma Han which has a dark coloured dough make by black sesame (resemble justic bao black face?) with chicken and asparagus as its fillings.

Another bao which i think its worth mentioning is defintely its half meat bun. This is actually my first time eating the half meat bun and its totally different from those normal baos. Its actually a piece of flour dough with fillings like chicken, mushroom, chinese sausage, salted egg yolk placed on top.

Rather difficult to eat them while ensuring that those fillings will not keep dropping off. However, i find that their flour dough is rather thick and dry. Well, perhaps its the way how a bao should taste like, but i guess its really not to my liking.

Tried some of their normal dim sum like the glutinous rics in lotus leaf which i find it abit too sticky (rather irritating when the rice keep sticking to my teeth). Tried also their shao mai with fish roe. Guess the interesting part in the additional fish roe placed on top of the shao mai but i still find them pretty normal.

Their shark fins dumplings are abit too dry to my liking and their deep fried mango and prawn roll is way too oily.

Overall, i feel that their dim sum is only at the ok range (not expectionally delicious kind). However, i am pretty impressed by the varities of dim sum available (more than 30 different types of dim sum). Try them out if you are tired of the normal kind of dim sum but just do not expect too much on their quality.
