BOTAK JONESĀ® was born out of the idea that everyone should have access to well-made food of all types. Seeing a definite lack of availability of good, well made western food in the industrial and heartland areas, Botak Jones is trying to fill that need.

The location of this outlet might be a little bit of a trouble for some, but for someone who lives just 5 minutes away by foot, this is heaven!

Botak Jones is a MUST-TRY. You just cannot miss out on their big, juicy burgers which comes served with a huge - and I do mean HUGE - portion of fries. Their fries are good, not too dry, just crispy. And oh, do try out their jalapeno peppers stuffed with cheese. It's really quite good.

Prices are decent over at Botak Jones. You can totally fill yourself up with about $10. If you happen to have a huge appetite, just get more fries, or throw in an extra side dish. Granted, it's slightly expensive for a 'coffee-shop stall', but the food definitely is way above any kopitiam-stall standard.

The Toa Payoh outlet is located in a rather spacious place, but it gets really crowded during lunch and dinner hours, so try to get there earlier if you don't want to wait too long.

I think I might just go back there again next week.

Since its located just opposite my school, and i have long heard about my friends saying how good, how fantastic Botak Jones is, and of course as a food enthusiast, i would not give up a chance of having to savour such highly reccomended flavours, i went there one day after school with my friends to try. My verdict, i was kinda dissapointed, perhaps my expectations of them were too high, but i was really kinda dissapointed. I still remember their slogan " damm good food at a damm good price " : i would agree to the damm good price part, because the portions are big, and it's quite economical, but as for the damm good food, i guess its all up to oneself, at least not for me.

Anyway, i ordered a Cajun Chicken, can't really remember the price, think its about $7-$8, anyway i waited for about 15minutes for the food to come, served with coleslaw and fries, the portion is huge, comparable to those sold in U.S anyway, i tried the coleslaw first, and i would say, its good, very crunchy and refreshing. The fries were crinkle-cut fries, with some kinda powder on top, if i am not wrong its either chilli powder or red pepper powder, anyway the fries is good as well, hot and crispy, very unqiue kind of taste. The funny thing is this, the side dishes are great, but the main dish is a dissapointment, the chicken was tender but dry, i would prefer if there were juices in the chicken, also i feel the marination of the chicken is not enough, its as though only the outer layer is being marinated, the inside is white and dry, i mean i know its supposed to be white, but certain cajun chickens i have tried elsewhere, when you slice the chicken, there is fragrant smell of spicy peppery smell.

Overall, good side dishes, poor main course. good price, location wise, if you are familiar, it's rather easy, if not would take some time finding the place, another plus point, service staffs there are very friendly and attentive, they will also ask for feedback which is a good point.

it was a blessing in disguise. I was surfing its website trying to find out the address of the AMK branch and it said they are relocating to another block. Scolled down alittle further and realised, hey! There was one in toa payoh! So much convenient for me and my SO as he stayed in toa payoh.

The place was in a 'canteen' of the JTC light industrial estate. Though a sunday, you can see a crowd going there for their lunch. The high ceiling canteen was airy, no problem for not being an aircon place :) Okay, Botak Jones is the fourth stall from the front, you will not miss its signature blue signage. Place your order with the cashier, tell her where will you be sitting, sit back and wait for your order to arrive. Pay only when all your food was served.

Botak Chez Set ($8) - This is a burger set that comes with 1" thick of beef patty topped with cheese, coleslaw and fries. The fries was served hot and crispy, and coated with a thin layer of chilli powder. i love it! Beef patty was soft and easy to chew, good for my braced teeth.

Cajun Chix ($7.50) - Served with coleslaw and fries, the cajun chix was a little disappointment. Meat was dry to our liking.

Beef hotdog ($6) - Though it said beef, i felt i was eating pork. Hmm... Nevertheless, the hotdog was tasty with the mustard on top. It was served with lotsa onions and veges. Good for the health concieous

They have actually reduced the fries portion (a notice at the cashier point stated) but you can request for the larger portion at no additional charge. I would advise not to go for it as the normal portion can fill you to the brim :)

Photos will be added later tonite.
