I ordered an Oven Baked Basil Chicken together with Orange Juice for lunch time. The best part is the refilling of the drinks which allows me to drink my Orange Juice without having to “ration” my beverage. Not only that, the lunch menu comes with complimentary antipasti. This makes the meal valued for money. Food-wise, the complimentary bread is soft and the aftertaste lingers in your mouth. The Broccoli Soup is rich but not overpowering on the senses. The cured ham is well-prepared as well. For my main course, the chicken is very tender and the basil sauce goes well with it, though I find it a bit oily. The potato wedges are crispy and filling, thus making it a great side for the chicken. The greens are a nice touch with the peas a stand-out though the carrots are kind of hard. The service is also friendly and efficient. The staff will stop and answer any question you have. But, it is probably the ambience of the place that will entice me to come back again. The interior eludes a cosy feeling with its warm lightings, soft music and comfortable seatings. This place is not the least bit intimidating and instead gives off a welcoming feeling.

I went there with 4 pax on the recommendation by a friend who is a regular customer. Just to say that my friend was not kidding when he said that the food and wine served there are unlike any other such bars. The BLVD's Freshly Baked Bread was soft and fluffy. Fish Finger in Beer Batter was made to perfection, with the beer flavour distinct and in sync with the freshness of the fish used. The Sauteed Garlic Prawns was fresh and the garlic flavour was strong but not overpowering. Being a fan of blue cheese, the French Blue Cheese Pizza has my stamp of approval. I paired the food with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow and it was just quite simply divine. The excellent service rendered was just an icing on the cake. Their staff was always all-smiles and friendly and gave recommendations on their own initiative. The ambience was soft and appealing to the senses. Definitely suitable for a romantic date with your partner. Great experience! Will be back for more!

How to get there and found something else! It was my first trip to Red Dot Design museum, they had some events wanted to see for myself. I wasn’t sure of how to get there and I had to meet my friend there so I google it, and it’s actually very easy. My car is currently under service so I have to use either the bus or MRT, it’s much easier to use the train though. Just alight at Tanjong Pagar MRT and walk a straight distance, the building is obvious from far. A huge red building. Otherwise, take the bus http://www.red-dot.sg/ Travel by Bus Nearest Bus Stop is 0.13 km away, with the following services available: SBS - 10, 100, 107, 130, 162, 16M, 196, 65M, 70, 89M, 97 SMRT – 75 The museum closes at 8pm so I got bored and hungry and I stumbled by a restaurant bar called Boulevard Restrobar. I’ve heard of its sister outlet-Boulevard Craftbeers, but I didn’t know there’s another one! The difference is Restrobar has an alfresco courtyard seating, cozy and comfy. The interior is very classy and contemporary design. Open concept, dim-lighting kind of romantic. Ideal for dating, soothing ambience but sad enough I didn’t go there with my boyfriend! They had a notable wine list. I got Veuve Clicquot Rosé NV cause I like the taste of summer fruits like raspberries, strawberries and cherries. My friend requested for a mix that the bartender recommended and the waitress got mixed up herself but she quickly sorted it out. Very good service and knowledgeable staff. Food was top notch, I ordered Pepperoni Pizza and some bar snacks. Could say I had a great time that night with my friends, end up doing work next day cause it was like a girl’s night out last minute planned. Lucky us our other friends are free so we just invited them over and parteh( party)! But the bill was a bomb! Nonetheless it was hell-a fun! I want to come back again maybe head down craftbeer instead it’s nearer to my workplace!
