I just discovered that this is one of the very very few fast food outlets open during a weekend at the Raffles Place area (the other is McDonalds at Boat Quay). Unfortunately, on the weekends (like today), it seems to be staffed by one counter staff - who takes orders, collects money, dishes fries, serves orders and cleans tables, all by himself - and one kitchen staff. Waited a long time to be served!
BK is great for the current Af4able meals which features single patty burgers with small fries and drink for $4.95 (with free Taro Pie). For a $1.50 upgrade, you can get the double patty version.
If, like me, you don't really need the fries, then you can order the Ham & Cheese Croissanwich with small Milo for only $3.95. The light fluffy croissant bun is so tasty and buttery, and the thin slice of ham adds just enough flavour to the burger. The Milo fills up whatever corner of your stomach is still hungry. Great value for low price!
