My friends and I were at Clark Quay to try out a spanish restaurant in which the name i forgot.
We had a hard time trying to make known to the staff that we would like a table. It took them nearly 10mins to attend to us even when they saw we were wating for a table. Only to find out the place was full , and told us to come back later. They didnt even bother to write our names down or contact numbers, which meant we could be waiting the whole night as there was no queue system.
Fed up, we went over to Cafe iguana, the place was packed, but we got attended to almost immediately, they asked for our contact number and we went for a stroll.
A simple gesture, but it makes a difference.
Food wise, i had the fried kebab, which name i forgot, but its something like champandas haha.
It was wonderfully delicious. The pastry was nicely fried and not too oily. It had melted cheese in it and made every meld together very nicely. As i loved spicy food, i added huge doses of the chilli sauces provided and which i must add was very spicy.
We were there during happy hour (ends at 9) and enjoyed a 40% off on our jugs of hosue margaritas. But due to hot weather, it turn warm rather fast. My meal cost me $20 and 1 jug was about $40.

Wondering where you can go for an exotic meal of a different culture and wonderful ambience? Then visit Cafe Iguana today! I first tried Mexican food at Cafe Iguana during a class gathering and it was great! It really made me want to return there for more.
The ambience was cosy and quite romantic, facing the river at Clarke Quay and the feel within the restaurant/bar was comfortable and relaxing too.
In addition to the great ambience, was the great food.
The grilled chicken fajitas I had were good~ Though I was a little clumsy in wrapping them up (like chinese popiahs) and eating them with my hands, they still tasted great. =)
Though they were well-known for their exotic tequila drinks, we had their house pour lime margaritas and it was quite good. Service was quite prompt with the friendly staff as well.
Kids meals are also offered at Cafe Iguana! So whether it's with your amigos or with your family, don't hesitate to try Cafe Iguana if you are seeking out a new alternative for dining!
