Experimented, just kidding. On a weekday caught X Men Days of Future Past, the tickets pricing was reasonable. We had wanted to use the Cathay Nets deal $9 for two but it was fully redeemed.
The theater, there is nothing to really complain about, comfortable, spacious seats, and even when you need to go toilet and get back to your seat, there is quite a leg space for that. Although i think the seating arrangement may not be the best for my neck. 1st row on the extreme right side. The fantastic movie made me forgot about my neck.
The queue where we can buy food inside the theater was actually quite long (4 customers in front of me) and was manned by one staff at 7.30pm. The staff was swift and the combo was reasonable, $6.80 for spicy chicken burger, wedges and my choice of drink was ice lemon tea. I would be happier if the chicken burger and wedges are bigger. It was like eating a kid's meal.
The person tearing the tickets was quite funny, i thought joker came to town to realize he is wearing a promotional head band for Angeline Jolie's next movie.

i love this cinema. it has large and comfy seats. but there was once when i was watching jay chou's movie on the first day of of ghost festival. i was freaking scared half way through the movie because i was seating on a couple seat and there was no one next to me. maybe the seats are really TOO large. Also, what i love about cathay is that their advertisement time is really short as compared to GV where they have ten minutes of buffer and advertisement time. When you go and watch a movie at Cathay must always try to buy popcorn and get the cheapest tickets which is $6 for students (whee!)

Went to this particular cinema to watch Sherlock Holmes during the past weekend.
This cinema is relatively new as compared to the older branches. Built around the same time as The Cathay if i'm not wrong.
The seats are nice and the sound reproduction is good. There are also couple seats in the last few rows of almost all the threatre if i'm not wrong. The cinemas are also quite clean and there aren't any weird smell around.
On weekends though, the queue is quite long due to the heartlanders staying around. It is in the middle of the heartlands btw. I went around 10 am in the morning and surprisingly, there was no queue at all. When I finished my show around 1 plus, the queue was quite long, at least 10 people per counter queuing.
Service was alright, nothing much to talk about.
