I was quite surprised with the overall interior decoration of this outlet. It absolutely goes well with the overall theme of VIVO city.
The HUGE high glass panels made it feel like afresco dining yet you can still enjoy the nice cool air-conditioning. A very elegant and chic place to have your favourite sundae in.
I could recall my dad used to reward the family with an outing to the swensens restaurant at the Changi Airport for ICE-Cream.. We loved the EARTHQUAKE and the Fries with sauces.
The old menu was great, but the additional items in the new menu at the VIVO outlet is even better. I can have more choices of meal course and desserts. How wonderful.
My personal favourite dessert is Colt Tower... It has chocolate ice cream, fudge and chunky peanuts on top, it is beautiful to look and yummy to have.
The other very nice dessert is the Apple Crumble in a pan..
Sizzling hot Apple crumble with a scoop of rich Vanilla Ice cream on top served in a pipping hot PAN.... Oooh......... Drizzle some milk and DIG IN.......
Its sweet and buttery.... Soft crumbs soaked in a little caramel and milk simply melts in your mouth.... Hot hot pastry with cold cold ice cream. This is what i call HEAVENLY....
4 thumbs up...............

Something different from the usual Swensen's outlet. Earle serves a finer menu and yet have their famous sundaes and fish and chips.
Went to Earle at Vivo almost everytime we were there for dinner. What we enjoyed most is the salad bar that comes with all main course order. Not alot of variety but enough to make you want to have more than just one serving.
If you're there with a friend, try their Cioppino. Yummy sauce and fresh crayfish. Sure to fill 2 hungry tummies. If you're not into sharing, and can't decide whether to take the chicken or the seafood, give Surf & Turf a try. Chicken breast meat, fresh prawn and fresh crayfish grilled to perfection! The thought of it now just make me want to have it now!
So if you're down at Vivo and don't know where to makan, try Earle Swensen's.
Updated 23 September 2007 I returned today with a few yebbers for lunch. After reading their menu for 30mins (while waiting), I decided to try their lobster. There were 2 options, the grilled or the baked. When I saw my order, I was rather upset and thought I should have taken the baked lobster instead. The lobster looked white and there's no sign of grilling done. Tasted it and ya, definetly not grilled. Or maybe they did for like 5 seconds? It's more boiled than grilled.
This time round, the quality of the food dropped. Wasn't just my own opinion, but the others there with me also mentioned that the food isn't good. Quite disappointed with my visit this time round. Might give this place a miss the next time I'm at Vivo. Hence, I'm re-rating Earle Swnsen's.
