For me , in my opinion ...
what i thing is that Eng wah cinema has the cheapest rate of ticket pricing...
however, the standard of the cinema is the worst among the cinemas ( not the customer service)
if the customer service of Eng wah was to put apply in Gv i guess GV will have a higher patron rate !
well, for Sun plaza Eng wah....i guess it is A LOT better than the AMK eng wah ...haha....go read my review on AMK eng wah......
for the location wise , i guess it is really quite troublesome to go to the highest level to watch movie quite inconvenience !
ah....it's been a long time that i go sun plaza and watch movie le....maybe go there and watch "A wedding game"

I like to watch movies at Eng Wah Cinemas (Suntec City) ... the people there are really friendly, and the service is effecient, too. However, one thing I really, really, REALLY dislike is the weird odour in the cinemas. It smells like popcorn mixed with many horrid smells. Whenever I walk past that place, I feel like puking because of the smell. Eeww! Its also not very clean. I am extremely fussy about cleanliness in cinemas, especially the ones in town like this. So going to Eng Wah isn't really that pleasant an experience after all.... SIGH.

It's not one of my favourite places to watch any movie but there were times I was only given that option. The seats are average and not really suited for long movies such as Lord of The Rings or Titanic.
A real pity about the legroom but one can't complain too much if this cinema has been there for quite some time and no overhaul or makeover was done.
The stairs are more suited for people who have no trouble climbing but it's not really wheelchair friendly. In addition, if someone on crutches has to climb those stairs, it's time consuming as they can only climb one step at a time. I saw this lady on crutches attempting to climb up the the middle row. She was climbing one step at a time.
As for the sound system, I'd say it'll suffice for movies that don't require much surround sound system.

Find it weird too why Eng Wah cinemas have to put so many steps. Can't they just do a slope or something? Not friendly for those who can't climb.

I guess they feel all movie goers are nimble.
