I went one day after the weekday lunch hour so the place only had 2 or 3 other tables, so my Hainanese Pork Chop came pretty fast.
I've always seen this item on their big-board menu in the other outlets, but I never got to see how "Hainanese" is the dish (I don't remember the printed menu has a photo of it) as I'm usually at the place only when I have a craving for food-court-pricing western food. But today I just happened to be near and so decide to try their famous dish.
I didn't order it as a set (the western sets comes with soup, bread, drink and fruit but I wasn't really hungry for so much that day) and so it came with just a plate of rice and a dish of gravy-filled pork chop.
I came with a lot of onions (there was one that was even a whole piece) which I took some but definitely had a lot of leftovers of it. It was a little spicy, although it must also be because of the chicken-rice-style chilli that they put on the side of the rice. Although I wasn't too hungry, but the gravy goes very well with the rice - the dish has deep fried pork chop and also pineapple, tomato and some kind of fruit (pear? apple?). It just make me crave for more.

I'm a cheap-and-good-food kinda girl, and i really love shopping too. . This place is really good for people like me, where you can get affordable, not-too-bad snacks like tarts, muffins and cakes. For the price, it’s really worth it as it is really compfy and the food is nice. I especially like the staff working there. They are mostly friendly, and cheery.Better than most, anyway . I don’t really hate anything about this place except the fact that it's a bit stuffy for me. I prefer the Suntec City outlet . I hope one day the standards of the two outlets match. Other than that, I think this place is really gooooooodddd... Hopefully, I get to go there more often, hahahahaha.... it’s really nice. It's a pity I go to there Suntec outlet more. SIGH.

Han's is one of my favourite eating place...I call it an eating place as it isn't really a restaurant, deli/cafe or kopitiam.
I used to work around the area and for my meals, with colleagues or by myself, I will frequent here.
My all time favourite is not any of their dishes(though I loved their special Hainanese Pork Chop rice)...rather it is their coffee. Yes, coffee with evaporated milk added.
I believe the reason for it being so delicious is in it's evaporated milk. SO I spied on them when they were preparing my coffee and found out they used King's Brand. Ha! I knew this must be the X factor.
Sadly I have not visited this place for a long time. Ya, there are many Han's around in Singapore, but you can't find one where they located all their "old school" customer service personnel, lol. They give you more attitude than you give them, but in a retro way :)
