The first ever FULL HD Expo was brought to you by Harvey Norman from 1 May to 4 May 2008 in Singapore expo Hall 4B.
The exhibiion hall is quite big and there are many branded stuffs on display mainly HiFI system, DVD Players, LCD/Plasma TV, HD TV set-top and Cameras.
Brands include Sumsung, LG, Panasonic, JVC, Sony, Philips, Pioneer, Nikon, Canon and Olympus etc.
It is quite a big show though they did not cover many products but is good for those who are looking for the items that are in exhibition.
Any exhibiiton held in Expo will draw a big crowd. This is no exception. But I personally rate this show as a total failure.
There are so many vendors each with their own sales promoters fighting among themselves when they are all selling for the same organization, ie, Harvey Norman.
All promoters tried their best to sell their own brand with the help of the amplifier. Can you imagine that 4 or 5 vendors shouting on the microphone at the same time? It is even worse than the wet market. You can hardly hear what they say but just felt noisy and annoying. Why can't they leave it to us to browse what we want at piece? If need be, can't they take turn to announce their promotion by vendor.
I actually wanted to buy something but I find it hard to hear what the salesman's explanation. As a result, I select to walk out of the hall.
I wish the Management of Harvey Norman will withness it should they ever do it again next year.
