1 Review for “Hayn’s Pizzeria ” - Restaurants
13
The premise is quite brightly lit, and the deco and design are nicely done, very refreshing.
The deco on the wall does remind me abit of Izzi Pizza, and Boost Juice outlets in Australia.
The pizza menu here is pretty extensive, although the same can't be say of their non-pizza choices. And their prices for the pizzas are surprisingly affordable too, considering their upclass location and type of restaurant.
While waiting for our food, I took the liberty to roam around the restaurant to snap pictures. They have a open kitchen right in front, so I managed to took some shots of them making the pizzas.
One of the finished product. Yummm.....
The drinks came after a short wait. Su told us she absolutely love her Iced Lemon Tea (RM3.90 ), as the taste of the tea is still fragrant, with the right amount of lemon and syrup added in. My Ice Blended Mocha (RM6.00 ) fared pretty good too. Didn't bite into any chunky ice as I sometimes experienced at Starbucks. Didn't take any picture of Rachel's very ordinary Sprite (RM2.80 ), as well as Kevin's mega ordinary "Sky Juice" (FOC)!
The first main meal that arrived was the Hayn's Spicy Pasta (RM12.90 ), recommended by the gentle waiter that served us. And true to his words, this pasta is simply delicious! The spicy sauce is wonderful, with its creamy texture and aromatic butter taste to it as well. Instantly reminded me of some of the yummy crabs that I've tasted before. Although the portion is not big, they are pretty generous with the mussels, chicken, prawns and calamari added in. This is surely a must-order if you decided to try this restaurant out.
And shortly after, the much anticipated pizzas started being served to us. First to come, the Pizza Banana (RM9.50 ) which earlier I was prettty reluctant to order coz I find it difficult to associate pizza with banana. Kakaka..but after some persuasion from my colleagues, we decided to try it out. And boy how glad we were after taking a bite of it. The combination of the sweet bananas, chocolate sauce and the tomato sauce somehow gel together perfectly. Well some of the hardcore conservative pizza-lovers out there might be yelling "blasphemy!" by now, me and my colleagues simply in sugar heaven and lovin' it. Just don't treat it as a usual pizza, and you will be able to enjoy the unique taste of this exotic pizza. Our favourite pizza of the day, without a doubt.
The next two pizzas are yummy as well, although they are nowhere as unique and exotic as the Pizza Banana. The Pizza Italia (RM10.50 ) is basically made up of tunas, onions, pepperonis, with tomato sauce. Kinda nice but those that are turned off by fishy taste should choose to avoid this. And the Pizza Marinara (RM13.00 ) is the usual fare that you can find at any other pizzerias.
All pizzas here are of Crispy Crust, just like how we prefer it to be, so no complains here.
And you know they know what they are doing when you see chilli flakes and the amazing Tabasco pepper sauce. Its just not right eating pizzas without any of these, and I was appalled when I found out that they no longer offer that at Pizza Hut. Grrr...
Although our stomachs were going to explode after walloping all the pizzas, we (except for the only one with a respectable self-control, Su) committed the sin of gluttony by ordering their gelatos! There are a total of 7 flavours available here.
Rachel ordered a single scoop of Tiramisu (RM5.90 ), I had a single scoop of Nockies (Cookies n Cream) and the fat Kevin got himself double scoops of Nockies & Mint (RM7.90). The gelatos here are of the Lecka Lecka's franchise, so those that have tasted it would know how it would fare. If you are a gelato lover, you can go for the Triple Scoop (RM9.90 ) for more value-for-money.
One thing that I must mention is the service at Hayn's is simply 5 stars! The waiters are very gentle, polite and helpful. When one of the waiter brought a pizza to our table, he accidentally touched my straw. Without being prompt, he quickly replaced the straw with a new one. He also patiently answered our queries and gave us suggestions. I'm not being exaggerating if I tell you I will go back to Hayn's because of their service alone!
And oh yea, the owner was there during our visit. He seems very friendly to some of the customers there, although he didn't come to attend to us. Maybe he's only warm to his frequent customers? Anyway, I found out he's (his name is Arne Hayn) a Scandinavian and not Italian as we suspected.
Please go and try out their delicious food especially the Pizza Banana and the Hayn's Spicy Pasta. I bet most of you would love it.
