This stall is located at some coffee shop near the singapore immigration. I remember going there in the once in the morning and queued up to about 30-40mins. Another time is around the night time and there's not much queue then, maybe its better to go later instead? I think it closes at 9pm so don't go too late. :P
They have this signage pasted loudly on their stall reading 'One and Only Original- No Branch'. 独一无二(毫无分行). So what's up with the other stalls? i'm really not sure.
Quote from Wine & Dine: "For a few dollars, you get a good portion of springy mee kia or mee pok (thin or broad noodles) noodles tossed with a punchy soy and black vinegar sauce (tip: ask for extra vinegar) and topped with a selection of the best parts of the pig. These include lean minced pork, tender, snowy white pork slices, wonton, bouncy pork balls, and slices of pork liver. A garnish of crisp-fried dried fish and a bowl of soup made rich and potent with pork bones complete the dish."
That's what is written on their website so I won't say more. This stall uses vinegar if you don't want chilli sauce for it. I like the pork bone soup but my mum find it a tat too salty for her. Guess its up to individual preferences. ;) I ordered kway tiao dry and it tasted just as good. Loved the vinegar taste especially.
Its worth the trip to go there and try but the standard price of each bowl ranges from $4 up to $6. The serving is just right for me at $4 but for guys maybe $6 for a bigger serving and more ingredients?? yum.. ..
And its just behind the Singapore immigration so perhaps after a long day queuing up at the immigration, we can go for another queue over at that famous pork noodle stall? ha.. just kidding.
