Got a std rm for SGD 20 nett (room only) via pay what you want campaign. Parking within the hotel was free as they've not activated the gantry yet. Parking lots are quite limited. Complimentary newspapers available at the front counter. Vending machine is located on every floor. Didn't try their buffet breakfast but price ($15/adult) seems reasonable. There's a burger king across the road for breakfast.
Comments on room: - small but sufficient and functional, like most Ibis hotels worldwide - bed mattress is hard & firm - Had trouble adjusting the aircon controls. Hotel should provide instructions. - LCD tv is great - Standing shower water pressure is good with body soap dispenser provided. - No toiletries provided. Bring your own toothbrush etc. - Mini fridge is quite small, more suited for canned drinks.

Getting the hotel room at a rock bottom price of $10 during the paywhatyouwant promotion( and this is Singapore! ), I was wary of the type of room I would get. Right above the lobby? Smoking floor?
My fears were thankfully unfounded. I got a room on the 14th floor ( the highest is 16) and the view was generally okay, pretty good compared to the others who said they got a view of the CBD. The hotel is not at some far flung, remote area in Singapore and the best thing is it is right smack in the heart of Bugis with the MRT station only a mere 7 min walk away.
The hotel is brand new ( It was only opened in Feb 2009) and sheets are stainless (a rare sight in hotels) and a bonus is surprisingly, the body soap. Mine comes in an organic orange flavor and is resembles those soaps from The Body Shop...cute. It had this pleasant citrus scent which tops all the usual miniature hotel soaps.
The furnishings are minimal, but every inch of space is maximized and I found the bubble refrigerator pleasing and the boutique hotel style is so evident in the room, all bright and the queen sized bed all white and spotless that I was secretly hugging myself at clinching it at such a steal.
The bathroom is a tad too small, but I really liked the glass paneled doors that separates the shower from the toilet bowl, however scary feel it jerk when I tried to close it clumsily ( you have to place a refundable $50 deposit upon check in and if anything breaks..haha)
For those who like to check their makeup or simply prim, there is a full length mirror just outside the bathroom..and since the location is amazingly smack right in the midst of Bugis ( and Orchard is blissfully nearby)..the possibilities are endless!
Right now the introductory price I think is about $138 ...I would upload the photos later..
