1 Review for “Indian Times (Playground@ Bigsplash) ” - Restaurants

The job scene is rolling here and having partied a lot of late, I can’t think of a better place and better value for money than what’s being offered at Indian Times at Big splash.
The place is open till 11:00 pm and serves unlimited mouth watering grilled vegetarian and non-vegetarian kababs followed by excellent main course and topped by a selected assortment of desserts.
Hungry like hell, we started with the starters which were pretty good(especially Samosas and chicken tikka on skewers). The vegetarians were also pretty happy with the Baby potatoes and Mushrooms. The Colesaw salad was very well prepared and the steamed corn was excellent. Overall the salads were few but each of them had a fine taste of its own. By the time we were done with the samosas the grills were laid on each individual table with an amazing variety of chicken, fish, prawns(my favourite!! just couln’t have enough of those), paneer, potato, mixed-veg etc. We really enjoyed turning the seekhs and getting the stuff barbequed to suit our preferences. By the time we were done with the grills which they serve at a brisk rate we realized that there ain’t much space left in your stomach for the buffet!
The main course was a fine combo which would satisfy hardcore indian food fans as well as the continental cuisine lovers. To start with, the sweet and sour fish was awesome, the butter chicken in rich gravies tasted great, the mutton biryani was steamed to perfection. For the vegetarians, the large chunks of paneer prepared in a kadhai kind of a preparation and the malai kofta were standouts. I loved the aloo gobi and the cheesy pasta a lot and had huge servings of both.
After not much space left in the stomach, we finally switched to the desserts. Mouth watering Chhote chhote Gulab Jamuns, chocolate pudding, rasmalai and quite a few other desserts summed up a wholesome meal with not much to ask for. Trust me, you just can’t have enough of these.
About the decor, the place provides u a very different look. Good bar area and lovely wood furniture. When packed with people, you somehow feel that maybe the place would be better off with more space but all of that is forgotten with the kind of food this place has on offer.
In short, a true value for money joint.
