It used to the best hangout place until i spot some cheap skinny uncles trying to show off their skinny *pride and honor* in their itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow translucent swimming trunks; or whichever pale colours they choose. They would just hang by the main pool suntanning and watching the girls tanning and walking by them, in and out of the pool to wet themselves and swerve by them again :( oh goodness........ I've even seen one with a white swimming trunks with just a tiny patch of black in front... oh for goodness sakes, stop thinking that we women and the vain showy kind.... see... man also the same.... With all that just happening by the main pool, the other parts of the pool is great. My favourite... the lazy river... one could just rent a inflatable ring to sit on all day while the river brings you through obstacles like rainy water, caves, waterfalls and etc. Except that sometimes the calmness might be disturbed by some crazy teens doing crazy stuffs.... but.... we've all been through that stage, i ought to learn to be more understanding and try not to let them disturb my peace and fun....

The wave pool is great too.... Fancy being swept around by pool water that don't taste too salty and no sea weeds entangling your feet. I love best being on my inflated tube swept away by the waves while feeling the icy cool rain falling on my back on a hot sunny afternoon... That is the most wonderous feeling one could have.

Though the place and the facilities are already a little run down, however the place is still pretty clean and acceptably functional. Most importantly it is affordable and has a KFC for my hunger pangs....

Jurong East Swimming Complex - Sports & Recreation

I used to go jurong swimming complex for their wave pool and jaccuzic usage until I got a membership at Safra.

I enjoy sitting at the outer edge of the wave pool where the water level comes up to my kneecap when sitting down, and lean back to relax while the waves rock you back n forward. When I feel like total relaxation, I will borrow a float and go deeper in and hang in the centre of the float while my whole body is submerge and rocked around in the water.

The jaccuzic is relaxing but sometimes I cannot get any seat at all due to whole family crowding around in the pool n chatting there.

Parents can also bring their kids to play at the kids or playground area as long as they are wearing some form of swimwear. It is like a smaller version of Malaysia's Sunway Lagoon. There are 3 different heights for the slides which children & adults can chose to slide down from with a float.

Once in a while I will use their normal pool for my laps if it is not too crowded. Another thing I like is the KFC in the complex. You can come up for a drink or some food if you are tired/hungry and continue later.

The toilets/changing rooms are at the entrance of the complex and slight inconvenience if you need to use the toilet. Overall I think it is a great place to come with your family to enjoy a day together.

A great place to swim for!

When you are looking for an affordable venue to hold birthdays, family outings, and other social simple gatherings, Jurong Swimming Complex is the place to be! It's a perfect hub of fun! JSC can be a great alternative for hefty gym club membership. You can swim to exercise, too!

I love the waves, relatively clean water, slides, more choices of pools, slides, sight of family and friend bonding moments and the resulting positive feeling that is definitely priceless.

They can try to improve their shower or changing rooms, though. Perhaps they can consider replacing a bit of renovation?
