The High Tea Buffet is excellent! We've always wondered at the queues which form in front of the outlet in the afternoons, so we decided to try it out for ourselves.
Most of the dishes on the buffet are available self-serve from the buffet table, which is a great idea while you are waiting for your cooked-to-order dishes to be served.
Self service: assorted appetizers, assorted dimsum items, soup of the day, dessert of the day.
Order items: assorted guotie 锅贴, shuijiao 水饺, the famous juicy meat buns 小笼汤包, small portions of zhajiang mian 炸酱面 and other noodles.
Very affordable at $10.20 (A) $7.50 (C) on weekdays and $15.80 (A) $10.80 (C) on weekends. Prices are exclusive of the usual $1.30pp for tea, pickles and towel.
Reservations (tel: 6738-7207) for parties of six persons and above, smaller parties have to queue at the door.
High tea is available from 3pm to 5pm daily, last order is at 4.45pm

I have heard many rave reviews about this place, and it was even mentioned on television (Channel 8, and it was a show about really affordable and delicious buffets!)
It costs less than $20 to have a buffet! :)
I have never really tried the food there, but I always see a LONGLONGLONG queue outside the restaurant.
I think it must be selling alot of yummy food..... I hope I can try it one day. The only problem is that.....
THE QUEUE OUTSIDE IS SOOOO LONG! I think I will probably have trouble getting inside! ;) OOH!

I thought the compulsory tea was good, as it was not plain chinese tea as in most restuarants. It had ingredients in it (can't remember what was in it, but remember the feeling: good) and I feel it worth the price.
At first from the name, I thought the food would be very "beijing" which I heard was not very Sporean's type of cuisine. But I thought the dishes taste quite ok, probably a tailored version.
Our group wasn't very much into food tasting, so we were quite neutral to the food. However, we find the place decor quite relax.
