To The F&B Manager:-
I would like to complain about my dinning experience at the Lobby Lounge for Your Gourmet High Tea on 18 Sep 2014. 1st and foremost your staff did not even acknowledge me standing outside to be served. I'm not the only customer queuing to enter. The lounge was empty for your information and she just walk around, don't know what she was doing. After a good 10 minutes then she decided to attend to us. But when (Ang Moh) was around she runs to serve them. Is there discrimination between Singaporean? We are paying guest as well. Then comes the food selection. It was totally different from info i gather from your web site. I think it have less then 50% of whats should be avaliable. Attach is link from your web page http://www.panpacific.com/content/dam/pp/PP Orchard/offers/September 2014 Weekday Gourmet High Tea.pdf Then the food trays does not have tongs and customers ended up having to use hands to pick up food. This is dirty and disgusting, I'm not dinning in a coffee shop. So many times plates ran out and no one replenish it. I have to walk over to the bar counter and request for plates! Hello what are your staff doing hanging around inside the bar counter. There are only about 5 tables occupied including me, and each table have only 2 guest. Then It takes forever for them to clear our table of used plates. The food are cold!! and it took a good 10-15 min for "Plates Of Pleasure" to arrive. (Cold) Why are the food plates not have tongs or spoon to use? And the tong available for the only cake is so tiny that it can't even pick it up. The only staff that was more attentive was your trainee I think her name was Alvina, and also a trainee guy at the bar counter. Then comes the Tea I ordered. I don't even think she listen to what's ordered. She came back later with a big pot of Tea n just fill up our cup, and it was not what I wanted. Your Hotel have called it a Gourmet High Tea and charge $38 for rubbish.
Anyway If I do not receive a reply from you, I"ll be posting this complain to all the food site and let everyone know how bad the food and service was, including a rip off cos I did not get the food as promised on your web page. All I had was Char Kway Teow, Prawn noodles and Laksa for the "Plates Of Pleasure" What happened to the rest as offered on the web site? I would expect to hear from you soonest otherwise I'll post my comments all over for everyone to read.

I discovered this spot because of the UOB promotion where you pay for only 2 when dining for 3 - their weekend high tea at $38 per pax.
For a buffet high tea, one cant expect the variety to be big but it has to be appetiziing enough at the same time especially for hotel standards. And it has to be a place cosy enough for people to feel that they are happy chilling their time away there and not being hungry at the same time.
Lobby Lounge at Pan Pac Orchard meets the mark for me. It is in Orchard but you get to avoid the mad crowds on weekends. And there's a decent spread of bites to boot (but do note they are average and not wow) - plus the unlimited ala carte orders of char kway teow, prawn noodles, and assamn laksa makes this deal abut more substaintial. You get the unlimited ala carte thingy at their buffet at 10 at Claymore too (Ive just written a review about it).
The spread - assorted pastries (cold though), breadsticks, cheesese, assorted mini desserts, snowcrab bruschetta, buckwheat soba with tako, marinated octopus, hummus bread, scones, asparagus beef.
Specials only for weekends - two live stations featuring Swiss Cottage Melting Raclette and Spanish-Bred Iberian-Cured Ham. But the chef frequently goes missing at the station.
The service was almost non-existent though - it was painful trying to get their attention when we were only the 3rd table occupied.
I probably wont return without any promotions though. At $38 there's alot more places you can go to, but at $25 with the deal, this is a nice option.
