I'm writing to complain about this brand's other sister brand, Vana, located at Orchard Central. (because it doesnt have a site for that branch at OC branch)

For that, I would like to comment that the service quality of the is appalling and non-existent. And so, I was trying a few pairs of shoes before making a decision to buy the shoes. while asking for the second pair in my size, 39, the staff was intensely engaged in a phone conversation with her friend. For 5 minutes, she was chatting on the phone while ignoring my request. I waited for her 5 minutes before asking again. on the second time when I asked, she replied in a rude tone "Can you please wait?", as if it was my fault to ask for a shoe in my size. After which, she went in to get the shoe in my size but remained irritated for me having interrupted her phone call. based on my observation, it is obvious that the call was a casual chat, not asking for assistance from other branches. Throughout the process, she was also reluctant to get the shoes for me, as she found it a hassle.

Problem with store: - poor service. personal call is more important than serving customer? - is it wrong to request for trying a non standard size? i already gave her 5 mins grace of waiting - rude and impatient staff.

i really think that people should not visit this branch. once is enough for me.

You obviously had a wrong experience with a salesperson; it doesn't mean the whole branch is ****. You should contact HR of the company because this is not really a review of the store!

    Feedback on D&C Shoes

I saw this posting in Singapore Expat Forum and it prompted me to write this review....I would like to add that I totally agree that they have attitude problem. I bought a pair of shoes at their Novena Sq branch. As I could not decide on what size to buy for my mom, I was informed that I can change the shoe size within 1 week but when I returned they said that they only kept 2 pairs in each store so there is no more stock and I have to take the display set that was a bit dirty and soil. I have no choice as the size is small for my mom or me. Pls see below for other reviews.

    Hi,

I had purchased a pair of sandals from D&C North Bridge road branch on 4th December 2004 worth $35.90. Exactly by 18th December the shoes broke - When I took them back to the shop, Ms Josephine Tay attended to me. She told me:

    - That its ALREADY been three weeks and there is no GUARUNTEE that shoes will last EVEN ONE DAY - She said she'd provide FREE repair service (Like she was doing a BIG FAVOR) - She said collect them the next day - When I went the next day, the shoes were not ready and I was told by her to come the next day.

When I went the next day, the shoes had been very shabbily repaired - actually HALF repaired. I told her this is not what I expected the lady very rude to me and kept telling me that there is no guaruntee that D&C shoes will last longer than ONE DAY

I wanted to get in touch with the owner of D&C shoes - but she said "Try your luck - I don't have the number of my boss".

Now i'll have to take the shoes to the cobbler coz the shoes fixed by the lady will not last long if i wud wear them.

I sent a mail on the email of the company n hoped to get some response but noone replied back..

Welll...did anyone else had the same kind of experience n wht did u do in tht case???
