I had wanted to give it a try as there was a good rating on the reviews. The decor and atmosphere was very nicely done as promised. However the worst has just began.
As my friend accompanied me to the restaurant, we decided to order the Mdm Wong Set and a Seafood Pancake. The side dishes arrived first. There were 6 of them which were pickled lotus root, pickled green vegs, kimchi, fried fish cubes & mini pancakes. (Do note that there are non refillable like other places!) The kimchi & other side dishes were only normal and nothing worth mentioning. The last side dish that came out slightly later was the steamed egg. The taste was alright except that the egg was burnted at the bottom.
Then came the meat dishes. There was a Rib Eye Platter, Spicy Chicken, Marinated Short Ribs. There was a To our disappointment, the portions were mean and petty. It gave me a feeling that we had been cheated. On top of that, we were being ignored when we told the servers that we would like to grill our own meat. The servers began grilling our meat. So my friend and me could not talk and catch up at ease. The worse thing that happened was that these people had no knowledge of food safety. They used the same scissors for cutting and grilling the meat which leaves much to be desired. The meat dishes were only average. Furthermore, the waiter that was grilling our meat, he overcooked our beef and made it tasted like rubber bands. Then came the beanpaste soup that contained some clams, a few silver of mushrooms and onions and a few cubes of tofu that I found was too salty for my liking.
The assorted vegetable plates that came with it consisted of lettuce, corn, mushrooms, onions and sweet potato slices (or was it pumpkin slices?) Anyway, the waiter start grilling the corn on the grill. Then the most horrible thing happened. The corn popped and hit me on the lips! I was so appalled by the fact that the waiter did not apologise and I found that highly unforgiveable.
Next came the seafood pancake. The texture of the pancake was nothing like the pancakes I had elsewhere. It was more of an omelette. The amount of seafood in the pancakes was almost unnoticable. The pancake crumbled when we tried to pick it up with chopsticks. There was nothing special about the pancake as well.
In my very very honest opinion, a restaurant that has poor staff training and lousy food leaves much to be desired. On top of that, we dun feel that the meal was worth the bill we paided. Oh. Did i mentioned that the bill came up to nearly $120? There are many better restaurants than this for this price! In all, try at your own risk.

Located at Mohamed Sultan Road, step into the restaurant and you will find yourself swept into a spacious yet cozy haven, where you can bask in the comfort of its serene decor. Elegantly brimmed with wooden furnishings, the restaurant uses plants, pillars and blinds to provide each dinner party with a dose of privacy.
