Max Brenner Chocolate Bar (Vivocity)

Indeed one of the most chocolaty place i've ever been. Everything served here is dosed with a thick gooey chocolate. So unless you love chocolate, otherwise this is not a good place to hang.

It caught my eye because of the right out of nowhere seats. Visualize with me, a fenced area cordoned off in the middle of the walkway with tables and chairs and the diners are comfortably enjoying the potent aromatic cuppa hot chocolate which filled the air with the same tantalizing cocoa butter.

The menu was chaotic, I must say as I am not much a menu reader, the pictures as confusing as the background images as such I just picked whatever I saw first. We actually wanted a fondue with sponge cakes, fruits, marshmallows which many friends deemed it as a must have, but our tummys have no space as such we only ordered ourselves some of their winning chocolate drinks.

The hot chocolate was fabulous, smooth and bitter sweet, of the right combination of milk and good quality chocolate. Tasted balance and not creamy, the way I liked it. We also ordered a orea chocolate shake which is quite a bad order though it came in a fancy cup with a metal straw. We doubted hygiene issues of the straw however the drink tasted pretty nice with crushed bits of cookies. I find it rather too sweet and the cookie taste overpowered the chocolate. So the verdict... Great chocolate and should always be served au lait otherwise dark solo. Anything else just spoils the fine cocoa.
