Taro pie and honey drumlets Recently there are the new products of McDonalds and I tried out their taro pie and honey lemon drumlets.

The taro pie is $1 and the honey lemon drumlets is $2.

The honey lemon drumlets comes in pair and it looks quite small though. The drumlets are small in size and it is crispy and the meat is tender and juicy. It brings a mild taste of sweet and sour, and blends well with the drumlets ;D

The taste is not too strong and it is not too salty. However the taste isn’t too special, but it’s worth the try. Probably give it a 7/10 :D

As for the taro pie, it is different from the taro pie from burger king and I love it!;D The difference is in the taste and texture. The taro in the pie is in cubes and is the real type of taro, similar to the taro used in desserts.

The taro pie taste a little like the yam ice cream flavour. And I like the moderate sweetness which is not too sweet or flavourless.

It could brighten my day up with the crispy outer and sweet taro within ^^ And it costs an affordable $1 for the taro pie…would definitely get it again ;D

Best place to hang-out for late night supper. Service is in full swing here even in the early hours of the morning (unlike KFC opposite, see my other review).

However, it can be quite crowded sometimes, especially over the weekend. But we never fail to find a table that is free. Kudos to the diners here, most of whom will help to clear the tables before they leave.

Besides the fastfood restaurant menu, the McCafe coffees and cakes are also available which provides a healthier option for late-night snacking.

Bring a jacket, it is absolutely freezing at night!

I held a joint birthday party here about a month ago, and the staff was lovely. We came half an hour later than the scheduled time, so they started the meter when we arrived (each party is given 1.5 hour).

The party went on well and everything that we had requested the staff to do was done impeccably. Also, we were given extra time to pack up as we were so caught up with our activities that we had forgotten the time. So that was sweet of them to do, because if not, we'd have to fork out $30 (if my memory is correct) for another 30 minutes.

But Kallang McDonalds is one of the nicer outlets to visit, anyway. There's an indoor playground for the bored kids, and the place is larger than most outlets (I've no idea if it's the largest).

If I had to hold another party at McDonalds, my first choice would be Kallang as there is a private party room; the two party rooms are also adjacent to the indoor playground, so kids bored with the activities can just run out and play.
