I've always crave for good donut. The Only 2 brand I buy is from Donut factory & Munchy Donut. Lately, I went to Munchy Donut in Toa Payoh, but it was closed for renovation. I went there again yesterday and found out that they have change the entire look and the donut flavors are all new. I realized that the donuts are quite wide in range from their famous chocolate flavors to fruity type. They have also less sweet donuts like the Mezzy GreenT (Red Bean Filling), Mango Crepe (Mango with crepe topping with blueberry & pistachio). To my surprise, they also have chicken floss flavor which is known as “Among the thorn". However, the price has increased from $1.30 to $1.50. The counter girl told me that the donut is gourmet donut. They used mostly fresh fruits and top quality ingredient... hmmm... I thought must give it a try. I've ordered Tiramisu Twist (Tiramisu), Tsunami (Dark chocolate) Duran Duran (durian), Among the thorn (Chicken floss with BBQ Chicken) and sesame street (Black sesame). I've given my mum to try on Sesame Street (the counter told me that this is not very sweet and older folks like it.) To my surprised, mu mum love it. I ate the Tiramisu and Tsunami; the dough is so soft and the taste is just... uhm... so...good.... I guess I'll go back for more. I was wondering what happen to the outlet in United square.. Munchy Donut is no longer there. Change to a new donut outlet, cos' U. SQ is nearer to me. Guess; have to make a trip to Tao Payoh every time when I crave for donuts.

First of all.. this is one of the DUMBEST donut shops EVER..

I wanted to buy donuts as a treat for my students and I had a few classes I was buying for..

So I wanted to buy 4 boxes of 12 and split the last box of 12 into 2 boxes of 6, for easier carrying to my classes.

A box of 12 costs $1 less than 2 boxes of 6, so I thought ok, I was just asking for my last box of 12 to be split into 2 so it should still be charged as a box of 12... after all, the whole idea of charging less when you buy more is because you want them to BUY MORE.

STupid shop charged me more! Where got this kinda thing one??? When I kept asking the girl about why I should be charged more since I'm ordering a set of 12 thats just split up, she said its the way they do things. Then when I ask to put it back into a box of 12.. they say cannot.

What kind of customer service is this? **** PLACE... DON"T EVER BUY FROM THEM... **** SHOP!

I havent been a fan of donuts.... but I was just attempting to get some for my colleagues while trying one myself...

First thought...they look really delicious and sweet, must be nice... Glossy, yummy-looking...finger staining...

After I put it in my mouth, I cringed at how sweet it was... Too sweet for me...maybe I am not of a 'sweet' person... But it's like sweet to an extent that it's like how sometimes a food is too salty and you will not swallow it.

Some of my colleagues complimented that the donut is soft, unlike other donut places... some mentioned that the taste is good.

      But overall, my verdict,

Too expensive for a mediocre diabetic donut.

I didn't even queue for it. If I did, it'll be more of a waste of my time.
