Naked Fish Express (Bukit Panjang Plaza)

Have you ever imagine how it will feel to eat sizzling hot fish and chips while walking on the pavement? Impossible? This idea never came to my mind as possible, until i pass by the naked fish express today.

This outlet is located in the ground floor of bukit panjang plaza. It is a simple blue colour shop (probably to resemble the colour of the sea) without much exaggerating decorations. Although the outlet may seems small, it managed to squeese in a few tables and chairs to allow customer to dine in.

As for customers who prefer takeaway style, it is a possible thing to do in this shop. Yes, this is done via their special packaging. Their Fish and Chips is not packed in normal styrofoam box, instead they are packed with a newspaper wrapped into a shape of a cone. Interesting ya?

Do not worry that the ink from the newspaper will sip into the fish and chips as these newspaper wrap are not just any commercial newspaper. They are specially designed and printed paper for the purpose to hold food.

Please do prepared to use a little bit of skill while eating the fish and chips directly from the cone, as its really not as simple as it sound. ;)

A large piece of deep fried golden brown dory combined with a cone full of chips, with added tatar sauce and a slice of lemon sounds similar as what you can find in some restuarant.

What i like is the way they prepared their dory fish. You will not find thick batter skin covering the dory, instead you will taste a crispy thin skin with soft and moist meat. Delicious, i can say.

Whats even better will be the afforable price that naked fish offers. Their fish and chips costs only sgd $3.50. Cheap? You decide.
