NHG Bukit Batok Polyclinic only re-opened its doors in Aug 2009, after being closed for a major renovation.It is just a ten- minute walk from Westmall. From the entrance at the taxi stand walk straight down along the car-park. When you reach the junction, turn left and you will see a bus-stop. Walk straight ahead until the traffic light, just cross the road and you are at the Polyclinic.
I merely went there to buy a prescribed drug, All NHG Polyclinics have a Pharmacy which dispense medicine for their own patients as well as those with prescriptions from a private doctor. The service was fairly fast, you only have to register at the counter with your prescription, and will be issued with queue number. In all, it took about 15 min. However you have to queue at the cashier to pay which was quick too.
Besides medicine, the Pharmacy also sells other health and beauty products like Guardian Pharmacy. You can find vitamin, snacks, oral care products and skincare. There are also more expensive brands like Vihivy with their own counter, while at the other end there are the $1.95 discounted items, just like Guardian. The prices of the merchandise here do not differ much from other retail stores. But I need to add that they isn''t a wide variety of goods or brands as it is not very large.
