The sushi here is certainly value for money. Have been to this branch, the Tampines, Jurong West and Revenue House ones in the past, but this branch is the most accessible and the one I frequent the most.
Had some sushi from the conveyor belt, tamago, salmon sushi and the usual stuff. Not a lot of variety, but filling!
Salmon Sashimi: This has always been one of my favourites and it did not disappoint. Yummy and value for money as the slices were thick!
Chawanmushi: Feel that the standard dropped for this? Or maybe it was that particular day? Was not served warm, feels like it been left for awhile, and not really salty, had to add my own soya sauce to it.
Half Shell Scallop Mentai: The sauce was delicious as usual, but the size of the scallop seemed to have shrunk.
Green tea and hot sakae: Realised the rosebud tea is not longer available.
Overall, feel that the standard have dropped, it is still value for money, but they are much nicer sushi places around.

Nihon Mura is part of the Sakura group of restaurants dominating the buffet lanes in Singapore.
My first impression of the Tampines outlet has since been altered recently in my subsequent visits to this restaurant.
The Cathay outlet is similar to the other outlets in terms of its decor and food offerings but the entire place is almost always packed with people and the queues are quite amazing.
The food has improved a whole lot since i've last been here and the quality of sushi is also a step above the last visit with new $1.99 plates of premium sushi that usually would have cost about $5.99 at a rival restuarant.
The salmon sashimi here is definitely worth a try. I'm not sure why but its very tender, cold and sweet as compared to other places. Including my favorite Wasabi Tei. @ $5.99 for 6 pieces of reasonable size, this place has stolen my heart for salmon sashimi to eat. The rest of the sashimi i've tried are ho hum though. So just go for the salmon sashimi.
All said and done, the new offerings and good salmon sashimi has won me over and i will indeed be returning for more.

had tried the one at Revenue House and had a great experience there. That's why i decided to pop by this branch. Somemore, this branch is more accessible to me. One thing for sure, this branch is very packed! (compared to revenue house 1)
Overall, the one at revenue house is better, especially in terms of variety and service. This cathay branch, you will need to put the chopsticks in the container and bring it PERSONALLY to the counter (due to the crowd i guess) as compared to that in revenue house where u juz throw in the container on ur table and waitress will bring for u.
This branch is nice if you wanted a more noisy and lively ambience as compared to that in revenue house
Oh ya.. i tried the mango dessert.. It's very nice! affordable too.. The mango taste is really strong as real mangoes are used.
