1 Review for “NTUC Income Insurance (Bras Basah) ” - Services

As a co-operative, their aim was not really to earn and retain profits, so their pricing is generally lower than the other insurance companies. Plus they have all those no-frills policies, like send you an email for you to print out the birthday vouchers you prefer or even like booking your travel insurance policy online. But I suspect one of their savings is from paying their insurance agents lesser. But the ones I met from NTUC Income does not seems as aggressive as from the other insurance companies. So sometimes I wonder where is the breakdown in linkage....
But if you were to buy insurance from NTUC Income, you got to really compare the payouts as well. They tend to set lower premiums for lower coverage. Good if you just want a min coverage, but not good if you actually need the high ones and they don’t provide. Like recently, I need to buy a travel insurance and they actually do not offer protection for skiing. Their coverage for my usual plan is pretty low for the risks (to me) of this trip, so I had to buy their deluxe plan instead (well, maybe the part on having a choice is actually a plus point).
I was told by a friend that she actually compare the healthcare insurance of the different insurance companies and concluded that NTUC Income is the cheapest. Recently I was looking at their accident plans and thought the same too, wondering if I should changed my accident plan to be with NTUC Income.
However, got to take note that I don’t want to end up with too many policies with the same insurance company, else something like the AIG/AIA situation pops up, I would be at a loss....
