We decided to continue our interrupted dinner at NYDC and we were thrilled at the hospitality. Though they are closing in an hour's time, we are treated to whatever seats we wanna seat.
Greeting us at the entrance is a cheerful looking lady, she was careful to warn us about the steps heading down to the large and airy dining area and offered a comfy 4 seater, however we would like some privacy as there was a large group nearby we decided to ask for a corner seat. She allowed us to seat anywhere we like and I was grateful.
Menus and table was set for 4 and she offered us ice water shortly after we sat down. We ordered some pretty interesting drinks.. called the ELEPHANTCINO which arrived in clear jugs, icy cold with fruity flavours. We had the berry one which tasted BERRY NICE and Mint and Lime which is extremely lemonady. We also had a Nacho with Spinach and artichoke sauce which tasted interesting and healthy. The nachos crunchy and the sauce healthy and flavorful. This is the first time I have eaten artichoke and I'm bewildered.
Deep in our conversation, the cheerful staff actually asked for our last orders at 9.30am. While we dine on, they were nice to have packed up the place while not interrupting our conversation. We kindly said goodbye at before they close at 10pm and with cheerful goodbyes we left.
Food: 4/5 (Great menu they have.. i love the artichoke and interesting drinks) Price: 4/5 (I think they are priced reasonably and portion is pretty good) Service: 4/5 (Cheerful and friendly and they made me happy) Location: 3.5/5
Will I come back: YES FOR THE DESSERTS
Will I bring my friends: I hope a large group.. the food is good for sharing

Yummy After-Dinner Desserts
We ordered:
1) The Boney Cake ($9.80), a thick wad of the Elmer Fudge Cake served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream, chocolate chip sprinkles and drizzles of hot fudge. I love the juxtaposition of the warm, rich and dense chocolate cake and the cold vanilla ice-cream. The value-for-money pricetag of $9.80 makes this dessert an absolute must-try.
2) Cookie Monster Mudpie ($10.95), layers of double chocolate chip ice-cream and mocha almond fudge ice-cream, nestled on a Oreo cookie crumb base, topped with Oreo cookie bits, and drizzled with hot fudge. This really was the ultimate chocolate bomb, strictly reserved for chocolate addicts
I love the service here, they are ever so accommodating and smiley. When I asked them the names of the songs playing on the sound system, they took pains to write out the song titles out for me, with nary a frown.
