Yummy yummy.. Their cakes really melts my heart. They are really good. But abit pricely to purchase in a neighbourhood area.
Some are nice but some not that great. I prefer the dark forest. I don't quite like the lychee martini. They aftertaste is kind of "weird"
Can give it a try if you happen to pass by there. But the reason I don't understand why is why they must open 2 stores in the same area? Hahaha.. Hmm.. and the whole of Singapore only 2 stores in the same area- Ang Mo Kio!
Their breads are quite expensive too. I used to stay in that area during childhood and they are the only bakery shops there and my dad without fail will get their roti everyday. But slowly, their prices increase and more confectionery stores open so we don't really purchase from Pine's anymore.

During one of the day , my father was planning to drive us to one of the AMK hawker centre to eat the famous teochew porridge and we came accross this Pine Garden Bakery shop.
Seeing so many news articles, i decided to buy the cakes and tried !
i bought-
lychee ( $2.40 )
orange chocolate & ( $2.40)
Peanut ($1.20)
then peach cake , this is a baked cake ( $2.50 )
OVerall , i only like the Peanut cake and orange choc cake as the rest of the cakes taste nice because of the strong flavoring essense they use.
Especially the peach cake, after hours , the peach essense taste is still lingering in my mouth ! which made me loss of appetite .
i have also bought a red bean bread - $1.20
is taste deliciously for the first mouth but after few mouths ...it is getting a bit too much , perhap is because they put too much butter on top of the bread
LAstly is the kueh,
i asked the Auntie what is the kueh about as it look special to me , the aunt told me is a kind of traditional kueh.
i tried it and taste like kaya kueh ! no comment for this except after i have tried it , it did not meet my expectation.

I tried the Blackforest from this cake shop and love it. The black forest is $2.50, which I think it was quite reasonable. The cake has nice chocolate taste and I love the fact that they put a lot of cherries in the cake.
I have tried the lychee cake at a friend’s birthday party before and didn’t like it that much. Perhaps it doesn’t have a very natural taste to it and I always prefer traditional chocolate.
